All the Ozric Tentacles and Steve Hillage and Miquette Miraudy are legends. Also Eat Static had some really outstanding years. 95-2004ish. I hope the whole west country vibe never dies. Luv and Peace.
Ed is so humble and doesn't have an ego like a lot of musicians seem to have. Their music is something you can not describe, you have to listen to fully appreciate it.
Edward wayne , is one my favorite musicians , yes total ledgend , !stunning guitarist 🎵🎵🎵 Ozrics ,! (A proper band )been flying into Space with them for years ! 🎶🎸❤️
saw them friday 24th nov (2023) with Gong at the 02 Academy Bristol. me and 2 of my closest friends took some LSD and were right at the front. To say they were mindblowing is the biggest understatement. Arguably the tightest band i have ever seen, and ive seen a lot! met the bassist at the bar (not zene),he was ultra brilliant on his instrument, shook his hand and had a great chat with him. without any shadow of a doubt the most exciting band ive seen in a long, long time (alongside The Flaming Lips). And oohh! the backround visuals!!!🤩😵💫😃
Great to hear some behind the scenes stuff from Ed himself. This year's sonic rock solstice will feature not only ozrics but eat static both on stage as tentacles of static, but also silas and sadkia are playing as well as zubzub. It's gonna be one huge ozric party over 4 days!!!@ Bromsgrove UK
Legends and nice people, difficult to pigeon hole this band, which is part of the attraction. Always lots of interesting side projects. Would love to see them work with Damian Lazarus, Sasha, Acid Pauli or La Fleur, who are creative deep house and very much more/beyond.
GONG, HAWKWIND, HILLAGE, Early FLOYD, when they were doing their thing it was new and exciting. They were breaking musical and philosophical boundries (genuinely progressive) and though i like the Ozrics, it seems to me they are just going over the same old ground.....
@@anauticalgate5496 perhaps i didn't express myself clearly, the bands i mention (oh and the soft machine too) were playing and creating new sounds and music that reflected the times they were living through, and in doing so created a new genre of music which can still be played today, but it's not as relevant as it was, it's just interesting music. and the ozrics are one of many bands who play it now. and thats ok, No cutting out of hearts necessary... and nothing to do with expecting bands to produce odder and odder noises it's like most things these days people pick a box and put themselves in it, when they could be building new boxes for themselves. What box are you in?
Are you proficient in various time signatures and poly-rhythms? Can you play to variable click-tracks? Can you learn a 2 hour set in a short time frame (say 2 weeks for example) ? Do you have a professional kit with extensive cymbals and toms/percs with flight-cases for all? Do you have transport and a current passport?
@@DomShillito Count on it. Well, no flight cases. Interesting back story - when I bought my new car years ago, the first thing I did while still in the dealer lot was load Ozric CD in to jam to on my journey home. THAT'S what Oz means to me.
They get on each others nerves its plain to see. We can all be hippy dippy but you can see she is irritated by him. The constant laughing is not because she is happy it's a passive frustration she has. She is the Yoko one of ozrics its plain to see. Pre and post her time with the band they where great before and now Ed Wynne is doing much better. It's like his sound was stifled because he always had to write around her bass playing now he doesn't. He is free to make music just with keyboards and guitar without having to write around her. She is not on the same frequency as him and it frustrates her. You could see she manoeuvred him to leave the UK so she could take control of him and separate him like bullies often do. Isolate and control. Good he has come home. Further more because he has good friends they have protected him and shielded him from her overbearing nature. She reminds me of someone who my brother is with. They look similar and behave similar. She is a control artist and I'm glad she is out of the wynne think tank.
So Ed is back in England now ? Brandy was schooled at Berklee in Boston, going thru that academic music scene . She seems too much 'about her' though I can sense it. Overly ambitious( maybe not the good kind) in this interview. They had lived up in the hills near Livermore CO, not far from me. The Oz music really hits home on many tracks its a nice connect for me. But I dont like to read about where there is perhaps deciet and manipulations for one's personal gain etc with band members.
I'm new to the Ozrics, know nothing of their history, but is she the origional bassist? She looks far to young, if they were formed in 1983.. anyone know any more! Thanks

They are so down to earth. Beautiful music!
You guys are sooo amazing! Been trying to see you for almost 2 decades. Maybe someday in Eugene or CO. ;)
I really love Ozrics!
So do I. I especially like the line up with Brandi on bass, Silas on synths, and Balázs Szende on drums.

John Smith Psychadelic ethnic space jazz/rock would be a good starting point?
You guys are amazing. I love the bass🥰💖👍
I wish ozric had more calm and beautyful tracks. Thats where ozric shines the most, with no doubt.
I disagree. Disdots is one of their most powerful songs and it's chaotic and oddly sad.
@@tomstegeman4344 dude, Tidal Convergence, that track man, changed me.
their early stuff is good for this. There is Nothing is still one of my favourites. Also their side project Nodens Ictus.
Love you guys always, Ozrics rule.

Blimey Al thanks 🐰. I think ya may b right man ,,, cheers
she sounds like an opportunist. she managed herself out of the band. and ruined it until Ed picked up the pieces recently.
Did anyone else notice someone farting at 1:31 ????????????????????
😂😂😂
What's Brandy's story I wonder
Split with Ed.. stopping him using Ozrics name in the proceedings. so i heard.. i knew she was a bad one! 😐

So there are 2 Magyars in the band
It’s like silver machines washing machine
So r they brother n sister then?
Pat Kelly no they’re husband wife, she plays the bass in Ozrics.
she doesn't anymore
any idea what she does now ? wikipedia says they separated.
She is still their bass player. Ozrics is on hold for now. check ozrics.com to see band members.
Who was the pretty bass player at kosfezt
Brandi's breathing doesn't sound too good, like she's got some sort of lung problems going on. Hope she's OK
smoking
Or a terrifying head cold you get while on tour.
They sould have a creative base player. I dont hear base sound. Sharp base sound........
Big fart?
