Hi Brandon, Will definitely be in the market if the price goes down. Love the significance of it. I actually caught the live performance on a PBS channel a while back and I quite enjoyed it. Interesting how because of the delicate nature of the amphitheater they could not have the spectators sit in the stands but can only occupy the ground level. As much as I love boxsets , I hate that they put the discs in those sleeves. I’m always worried about scratching the discs when taking them out. Because of that, I always put my discs in jewel cases. I love the documentary, Wider Horizons. One of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched it several times.
I don’t mind the cardboard sleeves. CD’s are really quite durable and even with minor scratches play fine. But I’ve found you really have to mishandle them for even minor scratches to happen. Simply sliding in and out of cardboard sleeves have never cause scratches for me.
Yeah, I guess I’m referring more to the discs that you actually have to pull out of the sleeves. Not the ones to that came with the DG boxset. I have an a-ha boxset for Hunting High and Low. Those were a pain to get out. You’d have to see it to understand what I’m talking about. I really like your reviews.
Hey Daniel, thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. Yeah I know what you mean, I’ve got a few boxsets or limited edition packagings that have really difficult sleeves. What I had are the digipacks that are poorly put together and they get glue on the disc. More than once I’ve had the cd arrive and be glued inside the sleeve and pulling it out ripped the packaging not to mention screwing up the cd. Of course those were returned for replacements.
