Laura Brambach also Laura, I knew Dwain in the first video, I wasn’t close with him but he was close with several of my mates, and his death in ‘03’ I think was and still is considered one of thee most brutal deaths caught on film!
He and fellow wingsuit pilot Jeb Corlis who is a household name now days for his famous stunts and wingsuit precision was attempting a stunt where Dwain was to fly OVER the bridge and Jeb under! Sadly he made a fatal error and wind conditions changed and he clipped the bridge in front of all of his close mates and highly regarded members of the BASE community, and peers.
I’ve only watched it once and won’t ever again! It is sickening and shouldn’t be allowed on platforms like UA-cam etc just as with your mate, sadly things went wrong for him that day and you shouldn’t be subject to seeing people profit on sites like this, but they are immoral and sick!
I have an Instagram thing for all my flying and gliding, but I don’t have a page for my flying and jumping on UA-cam! I don’t want people to chime in and also have my material like this video being used for selfish reasons and sickening ego, and also to actually have the audacity to make claims that people are going to watch this, or my videos and attempt stunts that took me years to master!
I empathise with you, I truly do! Dwain was close mates with Jimmy Freemon, another Aussie who was at the top of his field and highly, highly respected, and I won’t ever forget what I saw that day! But if anyone ever posted it, there was only a small group of us, so we’d know who did!
But to also make statements like to ‘tell anyone you know to stop living their life and lifestyle they are a huge part of and are highly dedicated and committed too is simply outrageous’!
People make comments on my IG all the time like ‘I’d love to do that one day’ or ‘I can’t wait to do that one day’ and I always question how many jumps they’ve logged and it’s usually none of a tandem! I find out where in the world they are and find the best school and send them links and budgets, costs both short term and long term to do their AFF course skydiving, attempt to guide them in the right direction, but NO one simply just BASE jumps! It’s a whole new level of the sport and needs training and guidance from highly experienced professional BASE jumpers where there is several around the world!
Douggs taught me after Jimmy died! I was doing some risky manoeuvres, and to see one of the worlds top five make a fatal error broke me!
I took time out to mourn and try to grieve In my own way, but after that I went and chose Douggs in Switzerland, who has over 30 years experience!
One of his viral videos was a class he was teaching where a random novice turned up and was completely oblivious to the fact his leg straps weren’t attached, strapped over and around his legs! Seriously thee most irresponsible thing I’ve ever seen on footage! And if Douggs didn’t catch this ridiculous error he was literally about to jump! To his death!
Please, just don’t watch it or let it affect you! Sadly we all pass from this mortal realm and your mate lived his life his way, and you should be proud of that! Remember his legacy and spirit, the impact he had on those around him, and the joy that he gained from our community, so forget these scum and just know that he was a soldier! A true legend who did what he CHOSE to do, not what people told him not to do! And that’s how we should ALL spend our remaining years mate, doing what WE want to do, when WE want to do it! And if it has no negative affect in others, then people have absolutely NO right to chime in and make comments or opinions about someone and a sport they have absolutely NO idea about!
Would you take advice not to catch a train one day because a model train expert told you his toy trains derailed earlier that day and it will happen to you! No, you’d simply say have a good day and walk on and do what you want and need to do! And for me, flying and jumping isn’t a hobby, or a pass time, it’s my life! It’s who I am! I identify as a pilot and skydiver who has plenty of experience and know my risks! And so does my family, and people call me selfish for ‘putting my family through this’! But my young 7 month old child passed away from SIDS, New Years night! No explanation, no reason, fuck the whole ‘god has a plan’ bullshit! Death isn’t prejudice in ANY way shape or form, so if people ever attempt to guilt me, as much as I hate saying it, I may choose to tell them about my son, and if I do, it’s not out of spite or sympathy, it’s too simply prove my point that I’ve never found peace or reason from his death! I still struggle 7 years on! But I’m not selfish, I’m adventurous, and I will continue to live the rest of my life the way I can in my best way! And I think you should too 🖤

I used to do stupid shit like this when I was young . Now at 57 I am disabled. I can walk but it hurts . After 4 spinal surgeries my neck is ok but my Lumbar is fucked . I’m lucky I can still walk and have great sex but I have good days and bad ones . It makes it hard to make a date with a beautiful woman and when the day comes I feel like shit because I didn’t sleep and my back hurts so I have to cancel . Some woman will understand and wait and give you 3 chances to make it up to them because they really like me and some will give you a 2nd chance and if you don’t make it you don’t get laid . So I am lucky . A man has to know his limitations and stop tempting death before you end up in a wheel chair or dead . Life is to much fun to have a 5 minute rush . If you get away with it 20 times it’s time to quit. That’s enough to remember that feeling for the rest of your life and live to talk about it . Only idiots think they can do it forever .

Also!,, people do NOT watch these videos and ‘get inspired’ and go out and BASE jump or wingsuit pilot! It takes years if skydiving, thousands of dollars and hours, then professional training how to BASE jump under the tuition of the elite athletes of this sport, and a wingsuit coats more money then you will make from this video no matter how many ‘likes’ you get!
I have over 5000 skydives, more then 1000 BASE jumps, and close to 100 wingsuit jumps! I have spent over 15 years training and practicing my sport, spent tens of thousands of dollars in the process, met some of the most amazing people along the way, and travelled and seen some of the most beautiful places all around the world in doing so!
This propaganda media bias bullshit is what gives the sport a bad name, not the minimal deaths people who participate in this sport know when they jump contribute too!
*actually!,, just looking at my log book I have over 4500 skydives, and yes, I’ve had some sketchy moments where I’ve had to follow EP’ (emergency procedures), however, to compare it to something the average person would understand, it’s the same as being forced to avoid a collision whilst driving, or run out and grab a lost dog running across the road!
There are risks in every facets of life, but we choose these sports not because we have ‘a death wish’, but because we want to live life to the fullest!

I live my life to the fullest when I plant stuff. American blueberries, Sibirian blueberries, Asiminas and all kinds of other fruit trees, all kinds of vegetables and teach myself how to prune a vine, and enjoy watching everything grow in the spring and produce fruit in the late spring, summer and fall and having also to deal with the weeds... hard work but what a thrill! I must say though that I really love watching these wingsuit proximity videos, in fact I am addicted to it. I would probably never do it myself, but the idea of flying was always close to me, like every other person who had dreams of flying, that's why I love to watch these videos. It is hard though when you see a great video of Graham Dickinson for example or Uli Emanuele and so on and then find out that they've died doing this.

Patrick, an honest question. I was a rock climber and took a few chances that when I looked back I thought..."Why in the hell did I try THAT!!"
Do you land safely and say the same thing or does it cause you to extend the danger zone even further?
I've jumped too in the military, but I just didn't get anything from it.
When I got down that was the end of my thrill seeking with a T-10 chute. I did some paragliding but again too many of the parameters that kept me alive were out of my control.
These videos make my heart flutter so I can only imagine the rush in making them.
      Stay safe.

Super Mario firstly I’d like to thank you for your honest and polite response.
Secondly, my partner and I own property, 120 acres in fact, and we have several veggie gardens that need tending to on a daily basis, and I also enjoy spending time relaxing, planting, pruning, and watching the fruits of my labor (pun intended) grow and feed us!
We have started an orchard with many citrus fruit trees, several types of apples, stone fruit, and we just started a grape vine with a specific grape (not sure the type), but we’re hoping to learn to make our own wine when they fruit!
On the other end of the spectrum, I love adrenaline based sports! I absolutely love for them!
It’s always a topic for ignorant debate where the most common phrase I hear is ‘you must have a death wish’! NO! No I don’t! I love life and have a lust for the thrill of ‘my way’ of having fun!
Although spending time tending to my gardens and animals, which also gives me a sense of thrill in another way, everything we do in adrenaline based extreme sports is a calculated risk!
We don’t just climb a mountain and jump off it! It takes meticulous planning, weather dependent, wind direction, heat, so many factors are taken into consideration before any time we decide to launch!
I paraglide more these days, I don’t skydive much anymore, and have only done a few BASE jumps over the last few years, but when you plan a BASE jump, it takes very carefully time planned execution before we even think of jumping!
Yes, many have died in these sports which doesn’t help the stigma attached to it, and I personally have lost several friends to the sport!
In the past month three Paraglide’s have needed rescuing from my fly site, and the thing I need to mention here is all three of them were all veterans of the sport! One landed in the ocean which is thee worst place to be as its very treacherous waters below! Thankful another experienced pilot jumped on a speed wing and sped down to the rocks and swam out and managed to keep his head above water until life guards arrived!
Another landed on the trees and broke his leg, a pilot of over 20 years!
There is risk in everything we do in life! Hey me example, I guy I used to work with many years ago landscaping had a rose thorn prick him! He pulled it out, however, there was a very small tip of the thorn still in his arm, and about a week later he started getting very sick, then over night he fell drastically ill and was admitted to hospital. When they realised the issue of the thorn in his arm, hey had to do surgery to get it out, and by then the poison from the thorn had entered his blood system and he was in intensive care for three weeks to stabilise his condition!
Just goes to show that even gardening has its hazards, and you can be the best at what you do in ANY field of your specialty and STILL die doing things as mundane as going to get milk and be hit by a drunken driver!
We don’t participate in these sports because we believe or think we’re going to die! We participate in these sports because we want to live our lives to the fullest, and just because it doesn’t tick the boxes of what some people think is ‘stupid’ it ‘irresponsible’ to them, it doesn’t give them the moral high ground like in this video where just to get likes and followers making claims to people to beg those who choose, and remember this is a personal choice here that if they know somebody who wants to, or does participate in these sports not to do them!
It’s purely greedy and selfish as they’re using other people’s misery and certain isolated incidents to help them get ‘likes’ and ‘subscribers’ to help them profit from this, as UA-cam can make people money if they get enough ‘likes’ and ‘subscribers’ to follow their pages!...

    • @patrickswayze2596
      @patrickswayze2596 5 років тому +3

      James Bliehall hi James
Firstly, every successful jump is one that firstly is just pure adrenaline and joy, and takes some time to calm down from!
It’s never a good idea to race back up and do it as quick as you can, when adrenaline is pumping throughout your body, you’re not thinking clearly, if you hold your arms out straight they will be trembling, it’s just a sheer thrill!
We keep journals and keep notes of every jump logged, weather, how was the exit? Landing? Any malfunctions or issues? Any information to look back at In the future and it’s always good to go back and read other jumps from years prior, it reminds us what we are doing and why also!
Yes, there has been many sketchy times when I’ve gone ‘woah! That was close’, and if you don’t question everything you do, then why are you doing it!
With these sports there are extreme risks involved, which is why we have risk evaluation, and site assessment, jump with other people we know and trust! Get site briefings from people who know a specific site, whether it’s paragliding, BASE jumping, or even scuba diving! All these sports have their risks, but you don’t hear people carrying in about scuba diving! There are more annual deaths from scuba diving globally then BASE jumping! That is a fact! But no one cares to mention that, why? Because of ignorant and greedy morons like the admins of this page profiting from people’s death from the ‘likes’ and ‘subscribers’ they get with each video they post! It’s down right disgusting!
Are they listing videos of families getting killed in car wrecks from drunk drivers? Certainly not, why? Because to everyone that horrific, however posting videos like this is nothing less then morally irreprehensible! They know many people think this sport is just selfish and brainless, but it’s a global community of people who all love these sports that yes, involve risk, and will get the response they are seeking by stimulating people’s ego and allowing them their moment of desperately chasing the need to be heard because no one has the time to listen!
It’s sad, and videos like this just reinforces how ignorant most of society is and doesn’t want to hear anyone else’s thoughts or beliefs except their own!
Thanks for you comment, and i noticed that you’re into firearms. Same argument! We have very strict laws here in Aus and no such thing as an open carry, guns when in transit have to have the firing pin removed, the gun pulled apart in certain ways so that there’s no risk of incident, and whist stored in homes, kept in safes, once again the bolt or firing pin needs to be in a seperate safe box inside that safe (usually where you’d keep your ammo), and that is a very debatable topic!
I personally don’t like them! I don’t need one, but I get it’s a personal choice, and I have no need to question your need or use for owning and using a firearm as it doesn’t affect me!
When an extreme athlete dies the best comparison I can give you is the same argument as when a mass shooting or massacre happens!
Everyone jumps on the band wagon, and has an opinion that’s more important then the person next to them! Everyone wants to be heard but doesn’t want to listen...
Thanks for your question and interest, and enjoy your time at the range, which I believe is a safe and controlled environment to be firing guns, just like we fly from certain places designed for flying, just some step it up and two it to new extremes and push themselves and sadly, often there’s consequences from both of our interests!....
      Be well 👍🏻

I just got into skydiving and personally know some wingsuitters and BASE jumpers. For wingsuitting you are supposed to have a minimum of 400 skydives before you start wingsuitting (if you choose the route). I agree with you, though. I absolutely do NOT RECOMMEND wingsuitting or BASE jumping to ANYONE. Those I know who do it, I certainly wish them the BEST of luck and I see them as truly brave for being able to do it. For me, skydiving itself carries plenty of risks enough. Sure. It’s safer than driving down the road, but the biggest risk is completely relying on that parachute to save you. So far I only know of one case where a skydivers main AND reserve parachutes failed. So it’s astronomical to have a complete failure of parachute deployment. Thank goodness for the back up parachutes. But it’s also on the Skydive to keep track of their altimeter and deploy in plenty of time to avoid a potential mishap. Blah, blah, blah...as in I could go on and on.
But yeah. After researching wingsuitting and BASE jumping. No way in hell I could do it. I’ll stick with regular skydiving. 👌🏼

I 100% agree, I didn’t make this video to say they aren’t qualified or trained to pull off these stunts, but it just take one really small miscalculation and the entire performance can end in a split second. And also, some of the best known wingsuitters have lost many of their friends already, that list just keeps getting longer sadly.

Dena Reaves the uspa recommends a C license to jump a wingsuit and a wingsuit course. It’s 200 jumps, one hour of free fall, land within 7 feet of a target 25 times, complete in air maneuvers or 2 points on an 8 way skydive to obtain a C license. I was stating that it isn’t 400 jumps to jump a wingsuit, but rather a C license and to have a C license it’s 200 jumps. So, with 200 jumps a C license and a wingsuit course, one could jump a wingsuit.

MrClarkio also, I forgot to mention, Jeb Corlis was the other pilot with Dwain who hit the bridge!
At the time Dwain Would have been in the worlds top ten BASE jumper and was into wingsuit flying long before a young doe eyes Jeb at that time!
He was a dude I knew, and as I wasn’t close with him, I was close with Jimmy Freeman who both were very close, and sadly passed away a few years back in front of a small group of us!
When I skydive, or more so these days paraglide nothing else exists! Just me! My wing! The wind/air and weather, thermals etc, and if I don’t fly every second to thirds day max, I have Tourette’s and it really exasperates my tics! I get really anxious and start becoming depressed!
I have only done a handful of BASE jumps over the past year or so, as paragliding has become my new passion, and it helps me and from skydiving starting my AFF at 17, and now 38, have over 4500 skydives logged, prob way more though,
Over 500 BASE jumps, I used to use a tracking suit, rather then a wing suit, I enjoyed that more, but have only wingsuit flown from a plane!
I broke my neck in 2011
At work, was a really long recovery, so skydiving has become less frequent for me, but when I’m strong and fit
I will go to the drop zone and spend a weekend, and often go fly one of the planes just to be a part of it still!
      Did a dope
BASE jump in November last year! Four people would lose their licences (gliding) and jobs if the footage was ever released! Awesome jump, 2100 feet, friends newer base rig, but was a really well orchestrated stunt which took four of us to let two jump!
I don’t expect people to understand, but I don’t appreciate the backlash we get! Abuse! Threats! Told we don’t have any respect for our families! My 12YO son is doing his paragliding course and my 3YO daughter flys with me often! She has her own little pip squeak harness, and she absolutely goes nuts! She loves wing overs and if we have enough altitude, a few other mild acro manoeuvres for her, but I have to make her wear a face mask when we launch because so many tourists love to film and photograph her so I don’t want her face all over the net and on people’s facebooks to go viral, but if it isn’t too sunny she takes it off and even takes the toggles and she knows how to turn, brake, and I’ve even got footage of her in her harness flying at the park ground handling holding on so she doesn’t fly away as she’s like actually? I don’t know how much she weighs? Haha
Does this make me a bad parent? I have been called that many times! Why? Because I’ve taken my son on a few tandems (skydiving), he will be able to fly unaided when he’s 14,
So less then 2 years, and he can actually already fly, just legally too young to do the course, but I’m not stopping him from ground handling, doing some sleedies from the take off down to the beach, and the odd few sweeps, so when he’s 16 he will be a better pilot then me I reckon!
Last point sorry to rant, but we ALWAYS do risk evaluation assessment before each jump! It’s compulsory, and highly necessary! Jimmy died at a spot in the Sydney Blue Mountains where he was a pioneer in fighting for our legal rights not to have to go hide out in the middle of no where and if we needed help, should be able to have designated sites where they’re assessed and rated! But here in Aus, it’s actually almost criminal! I know many people who have been charged for Base Jumping! Myself included!
But my depression, anxiety and Tourette’s is all heightened by me not being able to fly! It’s a peaceful meditation and zen state many of us reach!
Skydiving isn’t much of an adrenaline rush to me and many others, it’s actually very calming and peaceful!
BASE jumping is one hell of a heart starter! But I know many skydivers who have had debilitating health issues, emotional, Mental and physical, and jumping and gliding has helped helped all! It creates endorphins which antidepressants destroy!
So yes, sadly Jeb was the other jumper in #3 with Dwain, and it is still the worst accident caught on camera to this day!
We love life, I don’t know ANYONE with a ‘death wish’!...
Thanks for your well written and non bias comment attacking us like so many others!

Patrick Swayze I'm sorry to hear that. As a purely armchair wingsuiter I watch for the sheer thrill and the amazement of what humans can do. I can't even begin to imagine how someone works out the route to take to fly off a mountain and some of the footage from the alps where it looks like a race against geometry whether they are going to make it to the ridge or not definitely makes my legs go. BUT, I only enjoy them because they succeed. I'm not really sure why I watched this video tbh I normally completely avoid the "when wingsuits go wrong" type videos. For me, purely as a watcher, the beauty is in the skill of a human against the immovable brutal indifference of a mountain. As such I think it's an activity (i'll not call it a sport because I think it's probably a personal rather than a competitive thing) to be admired for it's beauty not it's accidents.
I hope your flights go well, but please don't push the envelope beyond where you're comfortable.
      With respect.

Interesting insight into the sports from a participant who also is a father of 2. I understand you approach the jumps from a carefully calculated stance and have safety as your number one factor. And I 'm sure there are umpteen times you have called off a jump due to some unknown possible dangerous aspect. I suppose it the total focus and concentration that is the addicting aspect, your mind must have laser focus to notice and respond instantly to adjust as required. I suppose the danger is when one starts to do it too much, getting too good and relaxed at it, that the risk increases - bit of trade off between experience vs. focus. It's quite interesting that you and so many others who are passionate and perhaps obsessed with the sport, have health issues, especially emotional and mental.

I still want to try it. I don't want to skim the ground or shoot small openings, but I definitely want to swoop down a mountain but stay above the treeline. Has to be the most amazing feeling in the world. You would feel like you're flying like Superman. I want to stay above everything though for sure. Although, after doing that, I can see why people keep pushing it further and further to keep feeling the same rush.

There are millions of people out there every day who are killing themselves simply because they cannot handle the pressures of life literally wasting their potential over emotional distress, and yet they gain loads of sympathy for their careless actions and some even try to make sense of it ... yet these people here are engaged in something they absolutely LOVE, dedicated and clearly committed to, which brings them joy in the world and people call them idiots ... but most of you simply don't understand how many years it takes to even get to this point ... these are not mindless idiots who at the last minute made the decision to buy a wingsuit online at some cheap outlet and travel thousands of miles to jump to their deaths, most of them are highly experienced skydivers who spent years getting to this point, proximity flying is elite level base jumping ... its not something you just casually just stroll into without any experience what so ever ... these people know full well the dangerous associated because they've spent years getting familiar with it, which is why they even risk it ... their comfort level has increased after years of refining their craft ... the danger simply just comes with the territory when you push the envelope, and proximity flying is pushing the envelope to the furthest edge of the damn table ... so let's stop assuming that these are unfortunate souls who didn't understand the risks associated with their activity as if they where lost, these people have poured their souls into skydiving, basejumping and flying in general, they lived it, probably spent every available minute at the drop zone with a hard on, obsessing over their next jump while at work, pouring thousands of dollars into their hobby well before they ever put a wingsuit on for the last time ... and there's nothing sad about that, there's nothing stupid about it ... people have died over shit that they never even cared about, that is sad... dying doing something you've committed half your life to if not more is not sad, unfortunate yes very much so ... but not sad

I agree that this is a quite risky sport, but so far all accidents that I've seen or heard about happened because the person jumped from a mountain and/or dared to fly through a small hole, perform a flyby skimming the ground, scrape through trees or some other extremely dangerous stuff.
I'm under the impression that if you jump from an helicopter, perform a normal flight (fly quite above the tree line and do not attempt any dangerous stunt like e.g. the aforementioned ones), it's much less likely that you'll crash and die.

Roll on the 2000's and it seems like this concept has been completely forgotten.
Cameras are very dangerous when carried by people doing stunts - they are dangerous because they encourage people to take unnecessary risks.

      I have
4500+skydives, over 500 BASE jumps, hundreds of hours of Paragliding and hang gliding, and I fly several small planes, and paramotor when I can be fucked!
I’m 38 and seem so many of my mates die from so many different causes, no one is invincible, and sadly this video is just cashing in on other people’s misery and trauma! Despicable!
You’re a surfer! A few years back up in Byron Bay Australia not all too far from where I live, I stuck my GoPro on the bottom of my board for something different! Decided to film what’s going on underneath us for a change!
Got home, threw the memory card into my laptop, Tallows! Locals spot, there’s a point where the ocean swell reaches this point of the headland and it gets big and hard! Not my point!
After almost four hours went home! The video footage where you WILL see people surfing every single day when it’s on showed one 3metre Great White, two Bronze Wailers, we think it was a Tiger? Was dark and she was always out of view, several reefies, and a whole bunch of Wobbygongs!
Goes to show what you don’t know doesn’t kill you, or even affect you!
I posted it on Facebook back when it happened and it got shared over 1700 times!
My 12YO son is learning to paraglide, my 3YO daughter has her own tiny harness custom made for her, and she loves it and comes flying with me, and she absolutely loves it! I mean her smile is thee biggest smile you will ever see!
I have to make her wear a face mask when we take off and when it’s sunny as heaps of tourists love seeing this little pip squeak so pumped and excited when we go flying! I don’t want her face all over the internet so we cover her up so she’s not filmed or photographed when we take off!
My son has done several tandems with me (skydiving) and when he turns 16 he will go do his AFF!
Over 6000 people die annually in the states from motor vehicle accidents whilst texting! Last year 364 BASE/wingsuit pilots died, 16.5 times as many from irresponsibly being impatient and sending a fucking message! Killing others also!
This is our lives! This isn’t a hobby, or pastime, this is who we are, and our families are most of the time involved! So to call us irresponsible and disrespectful to our families is a huge insult! Huge respect for your support man, so much hate on here from ignorant uneducated fools who allow this video to persuade them to believe we want to die from having a ‘death wish’? Whaaat?? We want to live life bro! How good is that feeling when you rip into a little four footer with some power behind it and charge that wave man! Surfing is like a religion to me, a spiritual connection with the flow and tides and rips etc! It’s all an energy source that soothes the soul! I love it, but I also love to jump and fly! And will til the day I die! And if happens to be whilst executing a stunt, then so be it!
This is life champ, not a rehearsal, so live it YOUR way man, and enjoy everything you choose to do, and do it well 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You could apply your stupid logic to almost all other outdoor hobbies: All forms of flying, riding motorbikes or horses, climbing, diving, surfing just to name a few. All somehow dangerous, but ppl doing it have decided for themselves that the risk is worth it.
Few years ago I decided to ride motorbikes for the thrill i need instead of starting to basejump (I was realy close to start base), and I did it because of the mortality rate. But I would never dare to tell more couraged ppl than I am to stop what they are doing!

“Why you should never...”? That makes no sense except to those that already ‘never’ wing-suit fly or base-jump. The annual Isle of Man TT races are probably the most extreme form of bike racing with deaths occurring almost every year - so “You should never race motorbikes”?
You never feel more alive than the moments you’re closest to death, it’s more stimulating than any drug - essentially it’s triggering responses that certain drugs of leisure do anyway, except you don’t have to risk your life to get the ‘buzz’ or ‘high’.
It’s a baseless argument essentially telling people not to live life to the absolute max - that’s why even going to the gym can quickly become addictive, both physically and psychologically, and there’s no guarantee of waking up tomorrow for anybody, or being killed whilst doing nothing more dangerous than mowing your lawn and being electrocuted. Life is finite, and since none of us knows the day we check-out the argument for advocating extreme sports or activities for those that wish to is more valid. @@baikalc.4260 I appreciate your opinion, but I hope recognize that for the incredibly racist statement that it is.

No need to be downbeat, humans will get there eventually. Flying squirrels didn't instantly start gliding. It began from normal squirrels jumping from predators as a last-ditch tactic. A few were slightly better adapted (skinnier, skin folds) and survived to breed. Wingsuiting is in the process of culling the less-adapted. Hopefully, the survivors will meet-up and breed better-gliding kids.

Everyone of us gave a gift of life. These guys throw them into the litter. This is not any kind of sport or about some adrenaline. This is pure insane and they are sick. Just my opinion.
