"Amazing...
Project Delta was slowly dieing. Once they surface, eleanor extracts ADAM from Project Delta, essentially, keeping his spirit alive within her.
"You are my conscience and I need you to guide me"
"You will always be with me now, Father...your memories, your drives. And when I need you, you'll be there on my shoulder, whispering"
A truly epic seen including the music, and the dropping of the doll in resemblance to Project Delta

i finished this game 1 day after release and im still looking up this vid every so often awsome game :'( more games should be like this
I love this game so very much.
I am one of those who couldn't get all the way into Bioshock 1, probably because the twist had been spoilered to me, but playing Bioshock 2, you really experience the connection to Eleanor, and the ending, this one, the good ending, is such a heartbreaker. I don't know when last a game affected me like this one.
Truly a Masterpiece, I felt.
Probably the best FPS I was given to play, I felt like playing through System Shock 2 for the difficulty and variety of options and the emotional grip of the plot is just astonishing. This ending is a crowning moment of awesomeness.
Played through and saved/spared everyone and got this ending. It was great, loved the ending, loved the game. The Delta and Eleanor story was awesome. Great job 2K!
this ending is the most beautiful ending of any story. its the end to the story of bioshock and rapture. the end music captures ur heart and puts it in a state of both happiness and sadness. im a person filled with hate and anger yet, i love this ending, this story. its not about a failed underwater paradise, its about proving that even in the worst situations, survival doesnt mean strength, it means love. the girl said that utopia is a bond not a place. im proud to say i cried at the end.
Holy cow, I never even played the game and it's making me force the tears back O.o I think the music plays a huge role in it
omg... i love this sending so much i dont think it couldnt have been any better 10/10
Every time I watch this, it makes me cry.
Bioshock is one of the scariest most disturbingest games iv ever played. and yet it has the most touching endings. you think a game that creates a creepy atmospere and such wouldn't make you feel happy and cry at the end. I also like how you can choose to become a good guy or bad. and the game changes from the choices you make making the ending like our paths in life. we can rather forgive and show mercy or do anything for power and the easy path. great game
I love how this game is so violent, but has a very touching ending.
I don't care how many times i see this it still makes me cry :( ' ' ' it's such a beautiful ending
I hate to admit this, but when I first beat this, I began crying as soon as the music started to play. It really set the mood. It was hopeful sounding yet a little sad.
I know it's supposed to be a happy ending, but I couldn't help but cry, you know?
Excellent game!
greatest ending ever in a game and that music is just incredible. if this game ever gets made into a movie then the music would be perfect.
I had to hold back tears. :'( Delta was Video game's 2010 badass.
God I normally don't get emotional over games, but this was the first ending I got and it had me in tears
I love being good in games. Benifits to Endings like these.
hell yeah, i swear i almost cryed, i got into this game really bad since the first one, this is definetely game of the year!!
yes yes when beated this game i was crying with the music . it was soo good good game
The ending is so sad yet so heartwarming, I absolutely loved it, if only it they get that movie off the ground!!!
The vita-chambers do not function from natural death. Delta died from his heart failing, as was mentioned throughout the game play. During the scene were Lamb causes Delta to go into a coma and has him strapped to a table you can hear her warn the splicers to let him die naturally and not from trauma, which would cause him to be revived. However, even if he died from the explosion, he was way to far away from a chamber to use it.
ending was sad, I felt like I was watching a movie in a theater with the sound and graphics, story, Superb job 2k.
This Ending Made Me Cry A lil ;( its sad but just so good. I hope they make a bioshock 3

One of my favorite games of all time, Im glad I got this ending :)
Delta wanted nothing more than to protect Eleanor, now he can be with her forever, sitting on her " shoulder " as her conscience.
There's more than one big sister. After Lamb took over she made the big sisters which are somewhat like big daddies in the sense they watch over all of rapture, especially the little sisters. In the game you collect the big sister suit and give it to Elanor when you are playing as a little sister. You have to save all the little sister's to get this ending
I had this end ing in bioshock 2 and think that was the best ending i ever seen in a video game and i wish there was something to save Delta he was awersome R.I.P
i still get chills watching the end of this
delta was my fav video game character D:
Yeah, this one and the Abandonment one made me teary. (The slightly evil, sacrifice ending)
Best ending i have ever seen in my entire life.. It's so goddamn amazing
I found this ending the best, honestly I really felt connected to the little sisters and Elanor. If I have to die (sorta) to have her happy then so be it....
I cried too:'( if you play this game from where eleanor is a little girl to when she is 18 and you die but she saves your Adam that's so sad.
My theory is that Delta would live once reunited with Eleanor, but in this scene... the straight rapid ascension to the surface in the unpressurized outside of the tower caused a fatal case of the bends, and his shattered body was only at this point held together by the Big Daddy suit, while he was living on will alone. Eleanor saw he was dying, and decided to 'bring him with her' through genetic mind transfer via ADAM. Sharing her body, he was always to guide her from then on.
the music at the beginning sounds like the music that played in the first one after that sub exploded in smuggler's hideout.
That's exactly what I thought after I beat the game- "WTF HAPPENED TO TENNEMBAUM?!" They probably just want to keep her there for the third game. But yeah, this was an AMAZING ending to the game. Totally worth it. I was looking forward to Bioshock 2 months before it's release.
@GuukanKitsune It's probably the other way around. Considering how close he was to the bomb, the bends might have hurt him but explosion finished him off. Also he's in a big daddy suit, maybe it's presurised
i like this ending. its so happy and peaceful
@GIRLIKESTACOS
i think she possibly only served as some kind of "connection" being the only major character form the first game to survive.
RIP Big Daddy! Great Hero!
This ending allways makes me cry
well, you gotta remember, you were just a big daddy. in the beginning you were a faceless brute with only one purpose. i think it was good that they ended it without showing his face. makes you remember that you only had one purpose and one purpose only. to protect eleanor. it was her that projected the love for you and gave you more meaning than just a big daddy
@Choloz22 First of all you're dieing from the broken bond between you and Eleanor (when her heart is stopped). The blast basically finishes you off.
JUST got this ending!!! so sweet and now i can finally play something else peacefully without always freaking out on beating it =/
@laggy24hOUrs Actually, Jack died shortly after he escaped from Rapture, because he was an experiment to make children grow faster than normal, but he grew too fast, and kept on growing after adulthood.
the ending make sense and your still alive in a way but it still sad none the less
I saved the all Little Sisters, spared Grace, killed Stanley (out of revenge, for what he did to Eleanor) and killed Gil Alexander (out of mercy).
i wanted Lamb to die, but then again i thought of how she tried to kill her own daughter and thought it appropriate to show her the mercy she neglected to show me and Eleanor. mercy is not a weakness and it is always best to forgive.
i love this ending and i love the Bioshock games. they're been a truly amazing, albeit scary, experience.
I
i agree what thelostplanet979 said, and i think she drained him was because she and him wants to forget about rapture(and maybe he thought walking around on the surface like that will make him weird) so yea
i cried my eyes out when it was the ending in the game big daddy is my faverite main charicter he was just going to play with little sister then those gags toke her away then he shot him self then died at the ending :(
The song is called "Eleanor's Lullaby"
I cryed it was truly epic and sad. 100 out of 10
I loved this ending. It makes me feel good. I prefer seeing Eleanor good instead of evil. It's also a cute picture with her & the other Little Sisters. I also find this ending ironic. Rapture was full of greedy & evil people like Andrew Ryan, Frank Fontaine & Sofia Lamb. They put their ideas & visions head of everything else & killed anyone who got in their way. Yet a Big Daddy (Delta) proved how much more human he was compared to the others by saving & sparing people.
@PivotMasterFilms978 Delta was her protector, but since Elanor never had a father, Delta became kinda like her step-dad
when you compare bioshock to bioshock 2, people say "oh, the game is just the same, except you can dual wield weapons and plasmids now..." but that's not entirely true, because in bioshock 1, the story is a psychological thriller, with all plot twists and such as you were a puppet and killed your own father and your only friend you know betrays you, but in bioshock 2, it's more of the emotion and the morals side, where you are given a choice to forgive or seek revenge
i really like the ending and i'm not trying to act cool or something, but i don't really get emotional over video games like you guys are and i don't know why i dont. alot of people thought the bioshock 1 and 2 endings were very sad. i think this to but i never have tears in my eyes
this is by far one of the best endings in game history
Delta dies because his bond with his little sister was broken. His body started to shut down, even though eleanor survived her mother's betrayal. When she says that she may have a way to save you once you escape rapture, It's just absorbing you.
It's a shame really, I wanted to see tennenbaum have a bigger part.
RIP Subject Delta.
i loved this ending when my sister saw the last part i swear i saw her tear up
@nowolfy121 I think she justs takes his memories and what was left of his consciousness to go along with her
@gameFreak24332
because if u watch she tele'd out.
and it kinda wasnt the bombs that killed delta, when lamb stopped elanor heart for that split second it was sending delta into a coma due to the alpha series conditioning. So he was slowly dying anyway
if only i could have rescue the big sisters. maybe they could have stopped Sofia lamb from damageing delta's bond to Elenore.
If only that could have happened....
The One Of Best Ending Game !!! Little Sisters Are So Cute ^ ^
The scene were you kill her is where you see her swimming for the top of the life boat and Eleanor grabs her by the foot and holds her down to drown
I'm starting to think Delta died from the coma because Eleanor's heart stopped. I don't think the explosion harmed him at all. The assent may have hurt him a bit because of the velocity. The suit may have been pressurized but the sheer force of the velocity combined with the force of gravity may have done a bit of damage to his smaller blood vessels and knocked the wind out him. Lamb did say Delta would die because her heart stopped just long enough for his internal "fail safe" activate.
nope, i read this at the bioshock wiki. ninja was right about the coma. the bond was servered, therefor killing him slowly.delta was fine during the accent, as his suit keep his organ from imploding from pressure.
What a glorious end to a glorious game
@Lukeclooney Subject Delta is the big daddy of Eleanor Lamb. Her mother Sofia Lamb does not like her being with Delta so she makes him commit suicide. Eleanor secretly beings him back from the dead and he sets out to find her.
good ending is by far the best one... I couldnt even think of hurting the little sisters, especially when I was playing their protector.
@Luuuukas Since your Lamb died, it means that you killed all the NPC's, instead of forgiving them.
I got the good ending too.. This really got me emotional... I kind of hoped that Delta would live but... Well, this one was the second best option :)
I saved the sisters. Spared the old black lady. Killed Alex the Great (out of pity). Killed no one else (didn't know I had a choice, lol, adhd effected me I was probably distracted at the time :o ).
I got this ending and I cried tear drops the size of pinneaple chunks because of all the hard work I put in was worth something towards the game's ending. The little sisters are the perfect picture of beauty, I was in awe. Compared side by side this game is superior to the first.
@mdkinsal The song is called Eleanors Lullaby, very relaxing.
R.I.P. Sinclair.. :(
it made me cry so bad
@spearm64 I wonder how theyll do it this time. Bioshock is always full of surprises and put together like a movie so theyll have to use something other than a big daddy. Maybe they put you in the shoes of a big sister or Andrew Ryan. Wait, Ryans dead. I don't know how theyll be able to beat playing as big daddy but the makers really shocked us all with the second bioshock being better than the first one, so number three will probably do the same for this.

@scavenger847222 It will be a miracle if they can come up with an ending half as good as this. They really may have set the bar to high for their next game.
i just finished this game about 2 min ago and got this ending. the game was pretty good
i think the sacrifice ending is the saddest. delta actually dies and knew that he had made mistakes and didnt want her to be like him.
way to say it bud totaly got my vote for game of the year.
Then another thing which was very sad in my opinion was the death of Sinclair, he seemed like such a nice fellow... The character was well made i guess...
A part of that last song plays when you pick up a sister.
I think Bioshock is one of the best games...hope there will be a third one..
@Musicismythng of course he survived. he's alive inside Eleanor.
:)
Made me cry :,)
very good ending again. the bioshock guys really know how to write a storyline. I only wish Eleanor would take off your helmet so you could see who you really are. just a thought.
@GuukanKitsune
I have your answer for your first question. I'm surprised how you didn't notice.
0:11
She begins to fade away, and right before the explosion she vanishes.
...About the pressure sickness...well I dunno.
And its comeing out if 2011 along with THE BIOSHOCK MOVIE!!
@pendragon468 Well, he's not technically dead in this ending. lol He LITERALLY becomes a part of her concious; kind of like his soul was transferred to her body.
omg its so sad lol like honestly i never cry but now i am for the first time in so long.
This ending was Bittersweet.
o7 to Delta :
touching, just like the good ending in the first bioshock.
In the ending where you kill only one little sister and sacrifice yourself, you can barely see your face through the helmet.
@turnbacktime no he doesn`t kill him, he dies and she drains the adam or blood from his body. she has the ability to read memories and such from the adam in people. so she usses his adam to remember him by.
Epic but sad... Long live Bioshock 2
In my opinion, both Bioshock games have some underlying theme to it: the first game is free will, the second is forgiveness.
gave me goosebumps again... wtf!
lol i cry every time. ugh when i beat it the first time, i was bawling like a little baby!!!
oh, I see. so Eleanor established the world's first Big Sister Program.
