You can feed a little to him when he is with egg.. but feed very less and once the eggs are hatched he won't pay attention to the food but if you see him eating then you can feed or else you can directly separate him after 3 days of eggs hatching and then start feeding
This is as per my experience and it won't affect the health of your fish for sure
