😍😍😍Love how it turns out.
I just got the opaque ink today. Very interested in your experience. I think I will use the opaque s for backgrounds right now, and stay with transparent s for blooms. Thank you for your video and your expertise.
I soooo needed this video today! I’ve been frustrated with my blooms because these dyes are just sitting as a small blob on the top rather than spreading. I ended up having to mix them by hand and so some of the ink sat in front of my blooms. I’m going to try to sand off the top layer and see if I can make the blooms appear more clearly. I used a mix of the opaque white and Castin craft. It made a lighter mix, so the blooms didn’t sink as much, which is what I was going for. I’m glad to see the inks spread on your resin! I’m going to switch back to a resin with a longer working time and let it come to temperature like I did before to see how I do. Anyway! Timely and informative video! Thanks!
I used the opaque inks to do petri effects. Didnt have to add the sinker white like i did with the regular inks. Never thought to try blooms with it. May have to give that a try.
Those turned out really pretty. The colors are so vibrant together and the glitter frames it beautifully. I could be wrong about this but, I think Let’s Resin formulated their Sinker White to be less pigmented so that it wouldn’t drop as much. The petri effect in shallow molds using the Piñata White would often leave blobs because it is more heavily pigmented. I know when Let’s Resin’s Sinker C White first came out, a lot of resin artists switched over to it in order to avoid that. But, Piñata’s White will create those wonderful tendrils in petri’s that are really fascinating too. Daniel Cooper has several petri videos exploring the differences.
Interesting, I did try the pinata white in a flower design once and found the outcome similar to these... the best flowers I get are when I include Pigment paste in some way... will be making a part 2 to this video🥰
@@LiaDiaDesigns I think you’re absolutely right, when it comes to blooms; pigment paste seems to be the best. Laura’s Art Corner sells an Angel White that works beautifully for Petra Gerbracht. If you haven’t seen her channel, you might want to check it out. She does wonderful work too.
Pretty. I really like the vibrancy of the opaque inks. I've never made these flowers so I don't have any idea about the white. But, they're so pretty!
🥰💖these are nice for that watercolor look, everything is flowy and soft...I prefer more distinctive edges... hopefully my next experiment will show the difference🥰
I like both sets
Well done
@@LiaDiaDesigns it did show a bigger difference especially in the way the colours mixed from the clear to opaque. However if I had to choose between the 2 I’d have to go with the first ones. There’s something about the transparent ones that I like better but still love them both.
It’s always a joy watching what you do
Hope your birthday was great!!! Thank you for this video…these alcohol inks has been a bit confusing…thanks for delving in for us!! Great year and beyond to you…you share so much…thanks! So I can just use the PayPal link to donate…I’m not too sure about this type transaction…I’m in for you…say yes and I’ll do it!❤️
🥰💖thank you Joslyn...I think the 2nd experiment will be better. Paypal is great, if you'd like to do that.💕 I think I'm going to make some changes to my channel in the new year... so I'll update you on that and Patreon when I get it figured out
I kind of like the more defined look but I've never tried this technique. Newbie here. I would like to see the further experiments with the pigment paste. Have you ever used India ink? I got two sets of Doc Martin's India Ink on clearance from Michael's and used the black in a project. It is more black than even Castin Craft Opaque resin pigment. You need very little of the ink.
💕 I have a number of flower techniques on my channel...I use Pigment paste for almost all of them.. I find it's the most reliable to get the look I want. I haven't tried India inks, though I've heard some others have... definitely worth experimenting with
Love these. QUICK QUESTION, which glitter do you use from Lyrsi? Thank you
I don't know the exact name/ number, but it's a fine iridescent glitter🥰 ... Paradise Glitter in the US also has a pretty fine white iridescent glitter
So was there a delay between mixing and pouring for temperature purpose…(or I didn’t notice)the confusing part and I know it supposed to have to do with the resin used…but wanted to know if that period is necessary🤷🏾♀️❤️
For this experiment..I didn't wait at all before making the flowers...my resin starts to set within 20-25 minutes... so I usually don't have time to wait... longer curing resin gives you more time
Tried it but not dry properly.. how much time takings to be perfect glass forms ?
It depends on your resin... every resin is different, read the label or contact the manufacturer/seller.
HOW DID YOU GET THEM TO SEND YOU THEIR PRODUCT?
@@LiaDiaDesigns wow. That’s cool. I have products as well. Not resin but gel polish if your interested let me know.
The Queen of flower blooms is Julie on "pouring your heart out " I love your other stuff using gold liner , you bring it up a notch love you
🥰thank you. Yes, Julie is good with blooms, they are not really on my list of favorite things to do, much prefer drawing and painting in my style. There are also some truly phenomenal bloom resin artists on instagram as well, from all over the world.
