That cycleway looks pretty useful although it's a shame it disappears right at a complicated junction. For it to become well-used, that roundabout needs safer crossing points.
That cycle way is worse than useless. It doesn't comply with LTN1/20 standards, doesn't use raised crossing to reinforce to drivers that they do not have right of way under the Highway Code, gives continued priority to cars, and needlessly crosses the road at several points. Why on earth do these engineers design them like this? It's almost like they haven't been on a bike since they were a child. They'd never design the road to be so windy and have so many needless junctions. They need to read the guidance on how to design and build proper protected active travel infrastructure.
