Spring Chinook Salmon are the most sought after salmon run on the Columbia River. In the Columbia River Gorge Drano Lake and the Wind River are some of the more popular areas to target these fish. Trolling is the most common way to catch Spring Kings. Here I spend a few hour trolling for Springers at the mouth of the Wind River in my ‪@OldTownCanoeKayak‬ Salty 120 PDL.
    Tackle featured in this video:
    - Brad's Mini Cutplug "Black Jack" amzn.to/3y4kgIl
    - Yakima Bait Spinfish 4.0 "Monkey Pickle"
    - Pro-troll 11" Flasher: amzn.to/380fSzs

I ended up getting worked that day. Didn’t get a takedown til almost 4pm. Saw plenty of fish caught. I skimped on bait and tried using old stuff. Finally put my freshest bait in the water and had that takedown within 10 minutes. Didn’t stick though. That will be the last time I try to stretch a 2 dollar can of tuna. Way to get it done Tyler.

Being a cheapskate, I was wondering something the other day and your video brought the thought back to the light. Can you setup a single reel for kokanee and chinook? I know the rods need to be different as too stiff of a rod for kokanee would allow them to pull off the hooks.

It’s not legal 2 rods for one person in salmon fishing !
