Of course, two guys can be just very good friends. But this not the case here or at least does not seem to be. However, there are too many pieces in the puzzle which is the storyline here that could not have been fittingly assembled if at least one of these characters were not a bisexual lad of sorts. With all due respect for the disagreeing opinions about these matters, I do believe that if the writers of this show do not pursue Stark's and Guzman's characters' endgame on the lines of what they have blatantly obviously already input in the stories of these same characters and it is clearly expressed in the selected and well-done edition of this video with all the shreds of evidence which abound in it, the writers of this show are either complete idiots or mischievous liars. Anyway, the one of them who is more likely to be bisexual is by far Buck. So alternatively maybe Buck will not end with Eddie, but then he will probably fall in love with another guy.

Gotta agree with you. The other story lines have gotten sort of sappy, as in dumb. I would even be happy with a one nighter, morning regrets then just become best buds but something has gotta give here. The leading hints by the writers is really getting boring.

i don't really think Ana and Eddie will work out. Ana is weak, "girly" but soft hearted, good with children. She can get along well with Chris that's huge thing for Eddie. But she can't have his back, he can't lean on her, she need eddie to protect her and heal her burnt hand. That's not for Eddie, that's why Eddie's last relationship didn't work, because his ex wife didn't have his back. On the other hand Bosko and Eddie get along very well and understand each other. Because Bosko is strong, brave, determined whom Eddie can call from jail to bail him out. But she doesn't show her soft side and humor, she always like stone (only side we've seen). And then we have our Evan Buckley who has all of this. Eddie can trust Buck with Christopher which means he trust Buck with his life. Buck doesn't need Eddie to protect him, but he can protect Eddie too. They have each other's back. They understand each other like they're one whole. That way eddie doesn't feel all responsible. Then Buck never afraid to show his vulnerability, soft side. The most importantly Chris loves him the most.
If they are ENDgame I will riot. I don't want some shitty second to last episode declaration of love. No I want them to be MIDgame and then last for at least a couple of seasons...

I mean, I'm all for romance and everything . . . but when you constantly ship couples that aren't really couples, it's a bit destructive. I don't think movies and TV need to mirror real life, but the gay baiting is getting a little old for me.
Plus it does a disservice to the idea that two guys (or girls) can be super close and intimate without being lovers. True friendship, when you can find it, is a treasure. It's priceless. My oldest and best friend is a guy I've known since we were in high school. I'm sure kids back then thought we were a couple. And into our 20's and 30's and 40's. If you saw us sitting in a restaurant tonight, you might think we were together. Cos we're close like that. But you'd be wrong. Still, I'm the first person his wife calls when she needs to vent. LOL
Platonic love should never be tossed aside like some consolation prize. Oftentimes, the bonds of friendship can last way longer than any marriage or love affair. Would it really be a tragedy if Buck and Eddie turned out to be "just" friends?
You’ve said it all. Maybe it’s a generational thing. 2 guys being besties is no different than 2 women being close. I’m 68.........people didn’t make a big deal out of, just like opposite sex folks can be close friends, without a sexual implication. Many marriages & relationships have survived knowing their spouse/partner has this supportive, special friend in their life.
All that aside, I watch the show every week. I’ve must’ve missed a lot. Where did this idea of them even come from?????
