It is good that Argyle isn’t in season five i think because he was weighing down Jonathan’s character and I just don’t think season five will have any room for him since everyone is back in Hawkins. Some people are saying they are boycotting the show because stranger things didn’t give him a call which I think is absolutely ridiculous
It absolutely makes sense him not being in Season 5. This also gives Jonathan a chance to take on a major role protecting Will.
It was telling that Argyle wasn't in the final shots of Season 4. He was several hundred feet away, forraging for mushrooms and forgotten, while the important characters were watching Hawkins burn (or whatever was happening :P ). I think Argyle served his purpose, but it sucks to hear the actor basically "didn't get the call". Hopefully the other secondary characters mentioned will get some time to shine. Then again, the Duffers have hinted that this will be a shorter season in terms of run time...
You make a good point that weirdly enough Argyle followed everyone back to the cabin, said a few things then was out looking for mushrooms but when the rest of the characters look on at the end, he’s not even there. Makes you wonder why they couldn’t just do a parting scene before the cabin scene so argyle gets some ending after his contributions to season 4.
I’m quite surprised that Argyle won’t be coming back. I saw on the Stranger Things wiki that Argyle was listed in the cast for Season 5, but wikis don’t always have finalised info about an upcoming instalment. Though I guess he went back to Lenora Hills, and perhaps he was scared of the Upside Down spreading into Hawkins as we saw at the end of Season 4.
It's sad that they be doing this to characters since they started stranger things and it is sad . They did it with the teacher and with 11 sister like they magically did not exist in that's just messed up at this point it's no point even try to make characters like this and they're just going to kick them out

I feel a bit bad for eduardo franco cause he didn't get a call. His taste in humor wasn't my taste but I know some people really liked him. He was asked to be in interviews with other cast members. Maybe the writers couldn't find a spot for him. My fav eduardo franco moment was in the bloopers when he was laughing at El being in a pizza dough freezer. Now I am wondering what side characters get to play a part if any. It sounds strange to cut them all out if that's the plan. Like what about officer powl and daniels, what about the parents of our heroes, what about mr clarke, what about ted and holly, what about dmitri?
I love Eduardo franco!! Its sad they didn’t called him but I guess it makes sense bc he does live in Lenora and he’s not directly connected with the whole ‘upside down coming to Hawking’ thing

Agreed, I keep hearing how the Duffer brothers wanted to focus on the main cast for the last season so they wouldn’t be bringing in any new characters and yet it’s necessary for Robin to have a love interest in the last season?
