Kotaro Fuma's iteration in the Sengoku Basara series is what truly made me like his character even more. Design wise, weapons, fighting style: I preferred it over his iteration in the Samurai Warriors series cuz I felt that the neko-kagi (cat claws/ gauntlets) he had as weapons didn't add much menace and scare to his appearance other than him looking like an oni hehe

I agree, Fuma in Basara is better overall. The 'Demon' Fuma in SW is too much for me. I would prefer if he was a human being.

@@qq5847 Furthermore, history-wise there's already a whole lot of an aura of mystery around Fuma I personally feel there was no need to adhere to the "some people even believed he was an Oni" part of the myth hehe

@@zachbernardo8770 sometimes, Basara has more grounded character designs and it works so well, sometimes.... Like Muneshige, i prefer his Basara design way more, maybe except his chainsaw which is by no mean a thing at the time, but still

    4:32 yeah agree
The game really made Fuma Kotaro 'badass' here. All the flashy moves, fast attacks, teleports around, and he's muted here (no dialogues at all, only dots), no wonder why he's so overrated in the game
