    Anat Cohen est sur un nuage d’harmonie et de swing
    Ken et Evan sont excellents. Le guitariste est un génie discret.Le contrebassiste est en swing intense pendant dix minutes. Le batteur assure le tout. Le pianiste est une valeur sûre.
    Le tout est un bonheur Thank you to all

      I agree. Pep has this clean, precise phrasing, and a wealth of ideas. And I know that Anat Cohen can play better than this - but I'm simply not fond of her style; she phrases very carelessly, generally, and some notes seem to come out just by chance.

    • @jacquesdeghorain3162
      @jacquesdeghorain3162 5 років тому +1

      @@mambojazz1Peplowski est le meilleur , pas de doute . Christopher a choisi de jouer plus en finesse , en soignant ses phrasés . Il a bien fait car il a montré ainsi la variété de son jeu . Il a un grand talent . Ken Peplowski jouait comme ça dans sa jeunesse , mais maintenant , il ne fait plus que montrer sa très grande vitesse de jeu........MAIS jouer d'un instrument N'EST PAS UNE COURSE DE VITESSE !!!! Je le préférais dans ses enregistrements plus anciens . Il ne devrait pas courir comme il le fait , il n'a plus rien à prouver . Soigner son jeu , ses phrasés originaux et mélodiques comme il sait les jouer......comme ça , il est inégalable . Même Benny Goodman n'a pas joué aussi bien avec autant de variété dans ses interprétations !!!! Anat ne m'a pas semblé à la hauteur....elle a essayé de jouer un jeu sensible et personnel , mais il me semble qu'elle a raté !!!

    • @whoitisnot
      @whoitisnot 8 років тому +6

      +SheepPeep I can relate. My professional life is with the clarinet, but not in jazz. If my otherwise excellent middle school band director had allowed me in the jazz bands things might have been different. He said, "play sax" - I gave it a try and it was easy enough at that level but something that felt right for me. I should have found a good teacher who was a jazz player, but I ended up as a band director and classical player/teacher. Good enough, I have no complaints, but there is still that what if....

    • @kellypurdue1990
      @kellypurdue1990 6 років тому +3

      I think he issue is that the "jazz band " in school is really Stage Band and it has a set instrumentation. Clarinet and flute don't show till the saxs get asked to pull out their doubles...
