Catra is a dom and I have assembled all the necessary evidence across all seasons of She Ra and the Princesses of Power to substantially prove it. In all of her interactions with the show's protagonists (and antagonists at times), she is consistently several steps ahead figuratively and literally, as is obvious in any fight between her and She-ra. Those who argue Catra is a sub point out that she needs Adora, and that with both Scorpia and Double Trouble, she shows them her "softer side." However, just because she can be nice does not mean that is her inner personality. At every opportunity she gets Catra lets out her inner anger on her enemies, and even those she still cares about. She has also been conditioned by her stay in the Fright Zone and the habitual abuse of Shadow Weaver: she has internalized the idea of grinding her enemies and even her comrades into complete submission. The clearest view of this is the end of season three when her corrupted self, freed of all moral constraints, attacks and abuses Adora ferociously, relishing in the sensation of complete submission that she can inspire in Adora.
In Catra's political and personal lives she demonstrates her dominative traits a great deal. Obviously, at the beginning of the show, she does not have much power, and thus has no leg to stand on, but the moment she becomes promoted she begins to wield her power for the sheer thrill of it. She is by no means incompetent, but it is clear that she enjoys its exercise. In contrast to Adora, who often worries about the mistakes she could make with the leadership entrusted to her, Catra has no such qualms, dictating to her horde minions with impunity. When met with power blocks, she is willing to fight by any means necessary to keep moving upwards in the command chain, even willing to attack her seniors in order to obtain her goals. Part of this is a genuine desire for the success of the Horde, but another part is her deep-rooted desire for power. She doesn't even need a promotion: she only needs to prove that she is superior to her opponents in the command structure, and she is satisfied. Her personal life is more disjointed mostly because she has difficulties with social contact, but even here, her natural tendencies come out. She needs to be tricked and coerced into a mutual friendship, believing that making commitments to a long term friendship and relationship would be ultimately downgrading. With all of her "friends," she often resorts to shouting and insults to get her way, which is partly her lack of social training, but also her desire to dominate even them.
It is often said that by analyzing fighting style it is possible to determine personality, and Catra is no different. She fights dirty, using any and all weapons available to her, and is very nimble, avoiding heavy-handed blows by her physically stronger opponents. However, a more specific, consistent move persists in all of her strategies: Achieve the higher ground. In each of her fights, she is consistently using the terrain to her advantage, forcing them to fight uphill battles while she looms above, dominating them physically as well as morally (making up for her slight stature, an opponent at a higher elevation can seem imposing.) This is the greatest insight to her character. She always seeks to be on top: on the battlefield, in the command structure, and consequently, in the bedroom.
If I haven't convinced you by now, perhaps give my music video another watch. I guarantee the evidence will present itself quite clearly to my more visual viewers.
    Enjoy.
Note: just because Catra is a dom does not mean those she interacts with are subs. (Adora ain't no sub sorry mates)

I agree with the assessment, but for different reasons. It makes more sense with catradora’s character arcs- Catra unlearning her defensive aggression, and Adora learning how to accept care and take her own needs into consideration. Plus Catra canonically wants to feel needed by Adora. I don’t quite think they would be into major power roles though, with how heavily interwoven both of their trauma is with that.
