Forgets to watch other people's skyblocks. Of what not to do. No hiting friend, no keeping stuff on person, keep mob drop if you can. Do not have runing water near lava. Do not touch sand with out stone or something under it. Most of all do not lose stuff. Put in a chest when not needed. Keep bare minimum. Or have chest near where you are to keep stuff in.
Skyblocks has a series of challenges like making the island larger, make mob grinder, make an automatic wheat farm, go to the nether, build a house, get 10 green dye, and so much more
Nogla, you build a cobblestone farm like this: First you dig a hole thats like 4 Blocks long. than you need to dig one block deeper on the third block in the hole. Next you put the ice block at the end where the water has two blocks before it goes into hole. But the water needs to be in the hole otherwise it doesnt work. Last you put the lava on the one block before the hole. Now the water flows in the hole and doesnt make the lava to obsidian and the lava creates cobblestone.
I wonder if this will come back, but if you place wood next to a nether portal and lava next to the wood, the wood will catch fire and the portal will light.
To be fair, you guys did all you could possibly do in that world. I mean what was next on the to do list after reaching the Nether? I highly doubt you'd be able to go to the End and fully beat the game stuck in the sky. XD

Just widen the Walk way and put railing you can not jump on, maybe 3 blocks high. To stop falling out of world. It does not matter if you die just do not take you stuff with you when you die.
