I feel like every kpop fan has to watch this at least once in their lifetime. As annoying as Kingdom was, this was one of the best things to come out of it. They sound amazing together! ETA: although I don’t NOT recommend Kingdom bc it was a really great show overall, the voting/ranking system was confusing and dragged on for way too long each episode so I’d skip through all of that tbh lol. But the performances and group interactions are what make it great. No matter who you know or don’t know going into it, you come out of that show genuinely loving every single group!
In the future you need to get to know BTOB, cuz they are known for their vocals! They have STUNNING music, they unlike other groups do a LOT of vocally driven songs. Worth a look for sure you won't be disappointed AT ALL!!

As a reward for winning the previous round, ATEEZ got to choose which groups they wanted to work with. Their team name was Mayfly and their rap and dance unit's performances were also excellent. The remaining competitors formed a team named It's One. BtoB (pronounced B2B because it stands for Born to Beat) is known for their powerful vocals and ballads (interestingly ATEEZ's main producer, Eden, had a hand in some of BtoB's most well known ballads). Eunkwang is their main vocalist and has performed in musicals. My favorite performance of his was one he did with his mom on Immortal Songs--talk about the apple falling not far from the tree. Eunkwang was a great mentor to his millennial babies, so this Kingdom episode was fun to watch. Since you've already reacted to ATEEZ'S Wonderland, I highly, highly recommend you react to their Kingdom performance Symphony 9 From the Wonderland. It is epic, and I'm certain you'll appreciate the theatrical elements, and you will never forget who Jongho is. His vocals left I.N. shocked.

I don't know how many times I've watched this particular performance. One of the best that happened from Kingdom. Seo Eunkwang is the leader and main vocalist of BTOB. He arranged the song well and distributed the lines accordingly to Seungmin and Jongho. It was so good of him that he let these two shine on stage by doing the low range when he can easily nail the high range. Eunkwang arranged the song just like how they do it in their group, esp with their vocal line. BTOB is known as vocal kings, one of the best in the industry. All members can sing and rap. So if you're into harmonization and into vocals, you should check them out. I'm sure you will love them. One thing that amazes me everytime is how they warm up their voices before going on stage. They're hella loud, and everybody knows that HAHAHA and their strong point is their live vocals since they don't do lipsync.

It really helps when you were trained to be an Acapella group like BTOB, also, Eunkwang and another member (Changsun) are musical actors so they're trained classically. You might be shocked with all BTOB members because they can really sing. Try to watch Blue Moon in Kingdom or Back Door I love how you like Sungmin to have perfomances like this where we can focus on him because when I checked some if skz songs, he really has limited parts where its not enough for his vocal ability to really bloom. Which is understandable because skz is a big group. With this performance, I really listened to him and appreciated his beautiful and unique voice. Jongho also is a strong vocalist and he's not afraid to show it. Just like Eunkwang said, I hope the other boys can have more opportunity to perform like this because they are such great vocalists.

Jongho is truely one of the most powerful vocalist of this generation of kpop. He'll consistently delivering high notes, emotions and on top of that he's ATEEZ. He's a great dancer too. Like, my head is poof.
This was my absolute favorite performance of the show- followed closely by anything else Ateez was in. I went into the show loving all of the groups participating but Ateez just put on such incredible performances (as expected but they still managed to go beyond expectations). Eunkwang (middle- BtoB) was the best in how he really worked WITH the two younger men. He has been in the industry much longer so he could have tried to be in complete control of the situation but he really took every opinion and make it a great experience for everyone involved. There's not much I can say about Jongho because, well...what else can be said about his amazing vocals? I will never understand how his range can vary such while still being in complete control. And also- just because I haven't seen much about him, Seungmin really did amazing as well. I think he was comfortable enough to try something a little new/ different, with support from the other group members, and the outcome was incredible. Mayfly really was just setup to win these performances. I mean no disrespect to the other groups in Just One because I also love them dearly, but with Mayfly, the chemistry and teamwork was incredible. And it kind of makes sense how dominant they were: you have BTOB to oversee the vocals, Stray Kids/3RACHA to over see the Rap performance, and Ateez with the dance performance. Every member of each performance unit had equal input and responsibilities but you can kind of see how each group took the lead in each performance. BTOB are known as vocal a powerhouse, I don't think there are too many kpop stans who don't know 3RACHA and their skills even if they don't follow SKZ, and Ateez with performance...what else needs to be said? Seriously, kudos to Ateez for putting this team together and knowing what was going to work super well. All 3 groups killed it together.

omg. we are blessed. OK. BToB did a cover of Stray Kids Back Door for Kingdom. BToB is an older group and yes Eunkwang got pipes, but he's done musicals as well. Stray Kids covered BToB's song called I'll Be Your Man - now if you want to get all of Stray Kids vocal deliciousness? I highly suggest this. We were all proud of Seungmin getting his shine on. It's also a little different than what we're used to from Jongho with ATEEZ as well. I'd also like to suggest To The Wonderland, for one of the most epic note escalations in the entire show! And for that one performance, you were asking about in that San compilation? That would be Wolf where he and Felix were together. Then there's the one with the high note and San and his damned eyebrows that one is Awakening of Summer. Looking forward to your dive!

So this was part 1 of round 3. Three groups had to collaborate in a rap, dance, and vocal “unit” in direct competition against the other unit. Mayfly unit (BTOB, Stray Kids, & Ateez, Ateez won round 2 so they got to choose who they wanted to work with). It’s One unit (IKON, SF9, & The Boyz). All six of these collaboration performances were outstanding but the Mayfly vocal unit was just phenomenal. I highly recommend watching the other 5 performances in the collaboration stages for Kingdom.
i watched kingdom for btob ive loved them since 2014? two years after their debut but ive been a kpop fan since 2009 but i didnt expect to fall so hard for ateez theyre by ult group along with bts now 🥺
Gosh I need this trio back together for another song (or rap lol). It was such an emotional and passionate performance (especially for stays cuz we've never been able to see seungmin in his element like this, even the members were emotional and teary)

Thank you Topher for amazing reaction. It is how i felt when i watched the performance too. You can watch the full 10 episodes of Kingdom: Legendary War on Rakuten Viki with english subtitles. It is amazing show and I watched it several times getting to know other groups I never watched before and to see them interactions with each other is rare. You see their worries and let me tell you the amazing performances are are all epic on a grand scale never seen before. plus on 2 episodes they have a outdoor competition and it is so adorable. So many good looking talented young men in one show is blissful.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend watching the full episodes on UA-cam though, I’ve seen the tv channel it’s from be very harsh with people who tried to do actual episode reactions, maybe it would work on patreon? I’m not really familiar with that platform though.

Love you reaction to the best song that came out of Kingdom (my opinion). Kingdom is my happy place. It was a bit confusing when it came to the points given and for me that was just something I skipped, because the interaction of all these great groups and amazing performances makes me smile. Yes there was another collab in this round among the 3 groups ikon, sf9 and The Boyz called It's One. They did the song "Spark"
So this was part 1 of round 3. Three groups had to collaborate in a rap, dance, and vocal “unit” in direct competition against the other unit. Mayfly unit (BTOB, Stray Kids, & Ateez, Ateez won round 2 so they got to choose who they wanted to work with). It’s One unit (IKON, SF9, & The Boyz). All six of these collaboration performances were outstanding but the Mayfly vocal unit was just phenomenal. I highly recommend watching the other 5 performances in the collaboration stages for Kingdom.
i watched kingdom for btob ive loved them since 2014? two years after their debut but ive been a kpop fan since 2009 but i didnt expect to fall so hard for ateez theyre by ult group along with bts now 🥺

Gosh I need this trio back together for another song (or rap lol). It was such an emotional and passionate performance (especially for stays cuz we've never been able to see seungmin in his element like this, even the members were emotional and teary)

Thank you Topher for amazing reaction. It is how i felt when i watched the performance too. You can watch the full 10 episodes of Kingdom: Legendary War on Rakuten Viki with english subtitles. It is amazing show and I watched it several times getting to know other groups I never watched before and to see them interactions with each other is rare. You see their worries and let me tell you the amazing performances are are all epic on a grand scale never seen before. plus on 2 episodes they have a outdoor competition and it is so adorable. So many good looking talented young men in one show is blissful.
