**After the ending credits, there's an extra scene! Make sure to don't miss it!**
This short film was shoot initially on the BMPCC 4k but for the sake of camera comparison, we decided to shoot around 40% of it with the Red Komodo. Can you tell which parts were shot on the Komodo and which parts were shot on the BMPCC4k? ..They are never used in the same scene at the same time. Leave a comment and I'll let you know if you were right ... or not :D
Keep in mind this short film was shot without a dedicated budget and for the most of it by myself without a crew, taking care of camera, audio, DP, editing, and coloring.
Color grading was finalized using my LUT for accurate colors (LINK) : • How to fix desaturated...
Lit using @Aputure 300D and 120D and @Quasar Science tubes.
Colored with Da Vinci Resolve and @FilmConvert

Guys make sure to don't miss the extra scene after the ending credits, and let me know if you figured out which scenes were shot on the Bmpcc 4k and which on the Komodo :D
Waouu just an amazing job! Funny story, and actors are quite good too !!!
About Komodo/Bmpcc shots, i get the feeling most scenes shot under natural light are the ones on the Komodo, am i totaly wrong? (And maybe the father shots in the living room too?)-Anyway, they both match pretty well together.
Would also be curious about which lenses got used on set?
Again, congrats for the great result, looking forward to watching 2nd part !
i did subscribe for more :)
Great job as always. So funny. I love your use of the outside locations. Will try to do that in my shorts.
Love to hear that! Thank you, brother!
You intercut and colored these shots so well, no one would have guessed they were 2 different cameras. Well done.
This was epic. Love how multilayered this one was and all the locations and cast. Just awesome!
Thanks man as always! So glad you like it!
great job man, i love the way you tell the story and the way you set the light too!
keep it alive
Thank you sir! These are passion projects we do in our spare time! We would love to keep doing these more and more
Hey Axia, just wow man! Great work! Acting, cinematography, directing, everything really good and a short that is very entertaining to watch, bravo! I would love to see a sequel for sure!!
Thanks man! We are thinking of a possible sequel yes. Hopefully we will be able to make it
Your films just get better and better
Great job 👍👍
Cinematography, Lighting , Color grading - right on point 👏🏻
Editing was sleek
Good concept & screenplay was really good.
Loved it !!
If this doesnt win an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and an Emmy.... Then I give up.
Both cameras look great. Nice to see they can go together. Love the colors.
Awesome work AxiA! Looking forward to some scene breakdowns!
I just posted one a few days ago! Check my latest upload !
Dude absolutely loved this the colours as always are surberb and same with the camera work. Hopefully there is a part 2 fingers crossed.
If people ask for it, there will be a part 2! So glad to hear that you liked it!
Maaaan is Soo good job you really push and show how good is the Bmpcc4k..
your lighting and coloring is amazing
Thank you so so much!
Awesome work and great visuals!🔥
I love everything in this film the story is on point, the colors, the shorts, I love love love it Good job. Hollywood staff, keep up.
Thanks man!
Ok man - we need part 2 😂 this is the best video uve done so far and i bet the most challenging ;) multiple locations and vibes - script is on point - acting killing it ;) sound desigh great - loove it - do 10 episodes and pitch it to netflix hehe -
Thanks broo! Will probably make a follow to this if people will ask for it!! Hopefully yes
This is incredible, amazing, stunning! I can't believe that you are doing this in your free time! The sound, colors and the lighting are perfect Hollywood level… The casting is to the point, acting is convincing, story is very entertaining - I LOVE IT!!! Subbed immediately.
Can't wait to see more of your work…
Thank you so much man!! these type of comments really fuel our will to keep pushing!
Nice 😊 And you fuel me too to finally create a short film!
And another one! Solid work, again.
Thank you so much!
Good job guys and gals. In my opinion, best looking footage yet.
Love to hear that!!
This was awesome! One of my favorites from you right next to "breaking social distancing". Please make part 2! Make a Patreon I'll donate to get the sequel made!!
Thanks man!! Well we might make it, we have some wild idea about a follow up! A Patreon would help so much being the only reason why we don't make more short films is because they generate zero revenue and we gotta pay rent working other jobs!
@@AxiA I get it. I make UA-cam videos as well and only make like 1 a month because I still have a lot of client work to make ends meet. So a Patreon or the UA-cam channel membership is a great option. I look forward to more of your work,.
Great short.the red have more detail but very few will notice.like the story and the editing and pace was great. Color ,scene set up and angles was amazing
Thank you so so much!!
Great actors all throughout!
Great Job as always! Funny as always! I would love to see a part two and a BTS
Thank you! We are thinking seriously about eventually making a part 2 yes
I love it! Such great twist in the story and it was not just one! 😂
The more twists... the better ehehe
this is so cool. I love it
Man i love your films
Thank you so so much! We are so happy to hear this! Took a lot of effort and we love to see that someone’s like what we do 🙏
Great again as always!💪🏼😎
Thank you!!
The theatrics in this film are comical 🤣🤣 real life stuff man 😅
No idea, why your channel gets less subscribers... you deserve much more then this❤
Thanks man! We make short films here, not tutorial , we don’t get many views or subs. You’d think that other “filmmakers” would be interested in films but they aren’t really that interested
Wow the BMP4k holds up really well next to the Komodo.. damn the money you could save!
They are close! But The Komodo wins in terms of IQ but it's not a day to night difference for sure!
Awesome work, Every thing is perfect here🥳
So good! I love it!
Thank you!!
Great once again, and I could not tell which was bmpcc 4k or komodo
They are both great cameras!
Never disappointed! Great work.
Thank you so so much!
OMG..😂😂
Great work bro.
That was really good! I couldn’t tell which camera was which.
Thanks! Before 6:30 I shot everything on the pocket 4k. After that until the end of the video we used the Red Komodo!
@@AxiA wait whaaaat??? Seriously?? Which codec did you use on the Pocket 4K? If you don’t mind me asking?
I loved the story and shots. Still laughing.. Thank you.
So glad you like it!! The fact that it made you smile it’s a big win for us 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Congratulations on this film!
good job guys with a budget u would kill it
ahhh What would I do with a budget :D
Great great job man!!!!!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Love to hear that you liked it man!
Great work guys!
Man , this is really amazing would love to see some breakdowns!
I have BTS material, I might make a breakdown with it!
I really enjoyed this.
this's the best footage I have ever seen of bmpcc 4k and Komodo :), Please upload grading tutorial
THANK YOU!!
Great short!
Thank you sir we are glad you like it !
You are a Legend Bro , Keep Going
Great work loved it
Thank you !! I suggest you look at our latest short film : “pfizerman “ 😉
Amazing as always. I think red Komodo is on the close up shot for you when talking to daughter and on wife’s face when she walks into the kitchen
Thanks! Before 6:30 I shot everything on the pocket 4k. After that until the end of the video we used the Red Komodo!
@@AxiA wow nearly right but even more impressed with 4K 🤣. What kind of filtration do you use on close ups. HBM 1?
1st!..like & comment before watching..cuz i know everything from u gonna be good..!
Thank you for the trust :D
Beautiful, keep up the great work man.... When are we expecting the breakdown🔥
I might make a breakdown yes!
@@AxiA It'll be appreciated.
Super funny!!! Loved it
Thanks man! Love to hear it
Always inspiring work
Thank you sir!!
Amazing job!
Grazie mille!
this was epic
Great job!
Thank you !
Beautiful... An interesting story line.😍😍😍😍
thank you so so much again Christiana!!
SUPER!
Thnak you!!
Holy cow that was good!
Very happy you liked it!!
Nice colors and lighting
thank you so so much!
That actor at the end in the mustang is great!
Rhino is a total badass, on set and in real life.
@@AxiA Amazing how casting takes it from a YT short, to Netflix single cam comedy tv quality. The camera on him felt really honest.
THIS WAS SOOOOOO FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
thanks man! You're always too kind!! glad you liked it
You the best at this homie. Hands down. I'm in Carson California... I salute you and your work. Btw... My guess is the komodo shots are all the outdoors shots. All the indoor shoes are the BMPCC4K.
Thank you so much man! Glad you liked this one too! Before 6:30 I shot everything on the pocket 4k. After that until the end of the video we used the Red Komodo!
Pretty funny! I want to know what happens next!
Love to hear that 🙏
Oh boy oh boy oh boy we want the sequel😎🍾
Love to hear that people want more. I guess we will have to do it !
Superb quality and interesting story. Difficult to tell the difference between both cameras. Though i think the high angle shot while she slept at the beginning is the Bmpcc and the rest of the bedroom shots.
Thank you so much!! The Komodo footage starts at 06:30 , Everything before that is Bmpcc 4k! :D
@@AxiA Thanks for your reply. You seem to be precise at matching the colours from both cameras. Do you think matching colours from any two cameras will ever be a problem for you as a Colourist? And which camera do you prefer shooting on after now using them for a while(bmpcc vs komodo)?
@@abovemediatv i would love to know the answer to this question as well
Awesome short film! The quality of your work is so good. If you have time can you comment on the story development? what is your approach? Keep up the great work.
Me and Joe just get together and discuss ideas, some ideas are better than other and if we feel like can make a short film about it, we will do it. It's literally an exchange of ideas until we feel like there's a story we can realize in real life. Lots of ideas we have are not doable because of budget limitations and locations... Focusing on stories that can be actually executed is key.
Always great, and now that this is a "...to be continued" does that mean we are about to enter an "Axia/Joe Cinematic Universe"? Please say "yes"
That would be great to make a follow up of this one!If people ask for it, we will do it :D Thank you for letting us know your thougts!
Looking forward to the next chapter hahaha
WIll see :D if people request it, will be made.
Great as always. Its very difficult to distinguish between p4k and komodo.
They're both great!
Great flick!!!
thank you!!
We definitely need a part 2!!!
Love to hear that people might be interested in part 2!!
very good director, very good actors....!!
Beautiful capture.
Thank you so much !!
I thought this would be easy but I won't pick much on first view. Let me get some more views and take notes🤣🤣🤣
Well done
Thanks! Before 6:30 I shot everything on the pocket 4k. After that until the end of the video we used the Red Komodo!
@@AxiA oh wow
loved it
Love to hear this!
Amazing... hilarious 😂
I love your work and the actors are great also. I can't really tell which camera you used in each scene but I hope you tell us 🙃 and also tell us what lenses you used.
Thanks! Before 6:30 I shot everything on the pocket 4k. After that until the end of the video we used the Red Komodo!
that little girl is an amazing actress!
She absolutely is !
Axia, I love your short films that I had to order myself a black magic pocket 4k and I'm stuck on what kind of accessories to buy for it. What's your rig build? (cage, handles, vmount battery, grips, rods etc). Can't wait to see you post more short films and breakdowns too!
Hey there ! My kit is very simple.
T5 SSD
Small rig cage + top handle
Speedbooster 0.71
Core battery V mount for bmpcc4k that mounts under the camera.
That’s it !
Sei un genio!
Non esageriamo! Gentilissimo!!
the best :DDD
Very glad you liked it !
This is amazing man! How much of this was shot on the Komodo?
Another banger man! We’re doing to try and mix up the p4k and Komodo on my next shoot too
Love to hear it, and would love to watch it!
@@AxiA will send it your way once its put together!
Awesome!!! :D
Grande monty!! Campogalliano C'e'
@@AxiA è la mia sparta!!! :D
This work is AMAZINGGGG
Thank you! I used the Black magic pocket cinema camera and the Red Komodo. The sounds I usually find them online, either on UA-cam or also I pay for a service called Epidemic sound!
Funny! Good job.
Thank you!
Great movie! What lenses did you use? What lenses did you use for the shots of the actors with the convertible? Thanks.
That scene was mostly on the sigma 18-35 in the beginning but the conversation was on the Canon 70-200 2.8 L
That was fun and entertaining! Compression artifacts on dimly lit walls pretty bad. Thanks UA-cam! If only it could be dithered.
I know I hated that. Try in 4k, it should look better! Glad to hear that you liked it!
@@AxiA Better but still there. Normally I watch YT on the 40" Samsung 4k TV I use for a computer monitor, but had a look on my LG OLED using the YT app..
Still there, but wow, beautiful images, lighting, and sound quality too! I've had the same issue with my uploads, so I notice it. I crushed the blacks, but maybe HDR is a fix.
Amazing but we need tutorial on you setting how you set and light your set practice and how you finalize color grading
I love your job, how you record an audio dialog during this shooting?
Very nice 😂😂 a little bit like my life.
Amazing! Can you do a lighting setup??
WIll do! Sub to the channel
@@AxiA già iscritto 😜
This dude is the new Steve Carrell. And the woman is great too
Ciao, complimenti per il video innanzitutto! Che look
Un consiglio, secondo te per spot/video musicali/corti meglio Pocket Cinema 4k/6k o A7SIII ?
Your lighting is just awesome!
Were the convos recorded in ADR?
Thanks man!! Recorded in ADR? what do you mean by that?
@@AxiA well the convos with the guy and the daughter in the beginning seemed to have clear and full audio. But then the flashback scene of when the wife told him she was pregnant, sounded like it was audio from the camera.
@@TrunxKraft3000 yeah that part doesn’t sound that good because we didn’t use LAV mics ... we used only a boom mic but that room was very reverberated and we really would have needed LAV mics for it.. oh well we live and we learn 😅
Looks good, story is decent too. I can’t see much difference between the cameras.
Thank you glad you liked it!
Usually, I'm deeply disappointed by UA-cam short movies. this one just grabbed me all the way through, I was laughing, I was drawn into the story and was impressed so much at the same time by the image quality, color, and mood. Amazing Job! I'm a fan.
Which lenses used? Thanks!
Hey man, thank you so much! I'd highly suggest you take a look at some other short films we have done like "the P... Guy" you might like that! as far as lenses I used several ones, I got to borrow some lenses here and there. the main convo by the couch was shot on the Zeiss Contax 50mm 1,4 as well as the Bar scenes. The first night scene of the girl waking up was shot on the sigma 18-35 1.8 as well as everything else in the short film besides a few shots on the Canon 70-200 L in the last scene when the man get picked up in the desert from the guy in the car.
@@AxiA You have the gift my friend! Can’t wait to see how you evolve 🥂💐 thank you for the lenses info 🤟
Komodo fire fire fire
Nice film dude. Last scene witht the father inlaw was definitely the RED. The hitchhiking scene was the RED. Bar/club scene was a RED. Mummy coming back home scene was a RED. Father and daughter scene was the Blackmagic 4k
My man, you got almost everything right! Except, that the bar was also shot on the Bmppc4k! But again, great eye! out of curiosity, what made you understand the difference between cameras?
@@AxiA As much as i love my Pocket 6k, i have to admitt that the RED does look a bit more filmic compare to the pocket 4k. The RED has slightly more depth to the image, plus the pocket 4k tends to have a little bit of crispy sharpness.
