What’s with people asking questions to a dude dressed like a “lumberjack” in the woods!?? Rad truck! Wish we could swap them tires out to see full potential
Love it. Gret idea (max ground clearence), implemented straight foreward in a clean build, on top with scale details and great colour scheme. Engineering at it's best!
I love this truck! The rotor parts in the back top it! Love the chassis great idea without big shock towers in the back. Come in handy on builds for sure!
Good lookin' truck! 💯💪🏼😎 I like how he designed everything and made his own chassis kit and hardbody to match the angle of the skid. I love his GMC build a lot though and kinda wish he would of sent that one to you unless the second truck he sent is the GMC.............👀
Tires may not be great but didn’t seem THAT horrible ! I mean the truck performed really well. Another set of better tires would make it unstoppable though 🤩 Great to see another chassis and setup option. I like the links directly mounted to the chassis ! Had to do that on a recent build I just mocked up and it seems pretty good so far. Keep em coming Trey ! ✌🏻
Tires are unfortunate. They remind me of some jconcepts. It's really hard to gauge what type of tires work for different terrains and rocks as well as get the look you are after as well. Perhaps you should have a set of your favs that do best on your rocks for those you feel struggle solely because of tire and wheel choice just to give it another crack at it? Dunno, just a thought. Thanks for another vid!!
Yep, I liked this one!!! The tires I agree with, not great, but other than that it was sweeet!!! The only thing I would do is bust out the thread and tie it down a bit, Rock Candy style!!! Lol, Rock on 🤘
@@24Yepp Looking at the Injora's on the website, I think the ones on that truck are a knock-off brand. Maybe ask the owner so folks know what they are or at least to confirm they aren't Injora's, and let us know in the next vid since so many are commenting on the tires. 😁👍🤘
Bummer the 1.0 Cling On clones didn't perform 100% of the time but they're still one of my favorite tires. Love the brass wheels. I have the same set. Overall I dig this rig. Essentially the chassis and overall look of the thing. Another great video bro! 😎👌
Awesome rig. I think some LGRP black label or jconcept tusks and it would walk everything and maybe a diff slider. As for the suspension maybe limit the center on the front and still allow for flex.
It looked like it was leaning too hard on the rear suspension on some of those inclines. I'd say stronger springs on the rear shocks and rubber bands around the front shocks. I'm also guessing he's got about 100g of brass weights hiding in his wheels that I'd advise getting rid of too.
@wingnutbert9685 yea we got an increasing wolf population here in latvia too ...me being Irish, the most dangerous thing in the Irish forests is a squirrel 🤣🤣
I thought those tires would have done better but I guess they’re the wrong compound and not sticky. It would’ve done great if it wasn’t for the tires. Great looking build though
stock axles with good U joints, big brass knucks and trimmed housings are what you want I guess 👌🏼 Tons of different brass, aluminum or plastic parts options to tune the weight just exactly how you want it.
Strange those tires didn't work for you. I think the consensus is that those are some of the best in the game right now. Were they vented and did that thing have OD on it? Those are like light switches that have to be turned on for that thing to come alive.
I'm watching this content and taking notes. Tech has changed in the years I stepped away from the hobby. I dig hardbody rigs over lexan, too. Q: Are metal axles totally necessary with heavier rims and diff covers? Is there too bottom heavy?
Deleted my last comment as I replied to you a few mins in, as per but you said " weight must be in the wheels" just after I replied.. I'm learning to watch before replying... slowly haha. My 900 gm rig has most of the weight in the wheels, 1.3" brass, brass ring with hangers & cut inserts/ tires but it goes through servos like mad so I hardly use it. I'd not advice that kinda setup. It acts like a slinky on stairs :D
@24Yepp Yeah it's far too heavy, not just the servos it goes through it also goes throw battery packs fast but it sent me on the kinda weight setup I like. Most people, including me until recently, aim for 60/40 front to rear but i tried for 75/25 on a scythe build as i use 4ws. So it can go one way for one line then the other way for another line. I've still got rigs with 60/40 if I go to a meet up or competition but I enjoy my 75/25 more
Ok, questiion, on a scale of 1-10, how awkward do you feel telling people you're playing with toy trucks, making videos, and postin' them on the interwebs??
Sometimes I wear daisy dukes and tie my shirt up over my gut when I go crawling. Folks tend to leave me to my business. Orange vests work too but work attire isn’t Christian and I’m not trying to burn in hell.

I've never had a crawler but that lil truck has got. Me seriously thinking bout getting something like that
Cool reversible transmission skid, cool angled chassis, cool candy treats.... um yeah, cool.
That's a cool build. Nice mix of scale body with comp performance. I dig.

Very very nice rig and with some ruptures or pins watch out the performance could be one of the tops. From Spain love for all
Well damn, I need one for my next next build. I drive a Mazda and really wish I could find a nice old Mazda pickup

Cool I’ll watch for the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease😁👍👍👋👋😎
20 percent overdrive might help bring the front end down when crawling
Nice design. I would be worried about the slotted areas on the rails being a weak point. But I do know others have slots, so may be fine.
Love ur videos just got into the scx24 love them any pointers would be great

Don't need to go crazy with upgrades. Brass knuckles, brass diff cover, over/under drive gearing

And you can go budget DIY and use lead strips and/or solder wire to add weight too.

any build videos coming up soon?
Those are knock offs of cling ons....The cling ons say injora Cling on on the sidewall and are 70mm tall ...

Lets see a class 1 build. Stock frame rails 50 percent tire coverage. No od. Also who is making a decent set of nylon axles that aren't stupid wide?

Q: Are metal axles totally necessary with heavier rims and diff covers? Is there too bottom heavy?
Metal axles 10000% not necessary. Personally I prefer plastic/nylon/whatever.
It seems lighter trucks have been better. Brass knuckles/diff cover.
I wish you had a set of donor wheels and tires you could swap out. No mods, just tires, and then we could see the difference
I think I'll do this. Maybe toss a set in my basket incase the ones sent suck
Do other people crawl there or did you build all that up?
@@RippSnortin I built it all up 👍🏻
It did really well for the most part, but I think it would have done better if it was 100g or so lighter.
Yep
Do most of these rigs you show run 1.0 rims? were you unhappy with the tire tread of the tire manufacturer?
Yeah most of them use 1.0 rims. The tread seemed to not work well on my rocks
Those tires look like their to hard and not folding under pressure at all.
New tires and overdrive in the front might turn it into a beast!
