Tbf the dark side is overall a better team. And besides it kind of evens it out becos the darkside have Boba and he’s a hard c*nt to kill. Cos they always fly away lol. And not to mention….They have Vader

As a game designer and among all the work I have to do is to balance the character stats and I must say that even after the nerf Anakin is still the most powerful among all the characters in battlefront 2.
Reasons: It is the most complete character. His abilities serve both duel of heroes, heroes vs villains, galactic assault and era of the republic.
While other characters like Dooku stand out more in duels such as a duel of heroes or heroes vs. villains.
Obviously if you have skill you can be good with Dooku in republic era or galactic assault but overall the character is not made to excel in those modes.
One character that is almost as complete as Anakin is Obi-Wan.
An ability to nullify abilities, Obi-Wan's push serves you both to destroy large numbers of enemies and to escape from them and if you're surrounded, his lightsaber run which nullifies normal saber damage and returns blasters allows you to destroy many enemies at once and leave several wounded.
But Anakin has something else and that is that he has a 4th ability that if you stay all day with the clones it charges very quickly and it is his "punishment" ability.
Within the idea of balancing characters, if you give more skills to one than the other, you balance the one with more skills by having lower stats in return... But Anakin has by default the health of a tank character (800 ) and can increase up to 900 being an agile version of Vader and more versatile.
Vader is the third strongest character because even though it is basically unfair to play him in a duel of heroes, Vader has the problem of being slow and his abilities are short range except for saber throw. You are too reliant on lightsaber throwing in galactic assault and with how slow it is you are easy prey for players who are flying ships (many can relate the experience of being Vader and losing because the ships did not stop attacking you) For Of course, if you're a pro you can avoid it, but it's still easier to do it with an agile character.
I know that the ability in the middle of Vader gives you extra health and damage and with a card it even gives you resistance and that's why I say that it is SO useful for duels of heroes and heroes vs. villains but against vehicles driven by pro players you are gifted to the enemy unless your teammates quickly destroy the vehicles.
Vader is almost perfect as Obi-Wan, but now Anakin is agile, he can have a lot of health, abilities that serve you both to fight villains and to survive against waves of players.
He is still the most broken but the difference is now smaller, since now Vader and Obi-Wan are close to that throne and before that was not possible lol.
I like how grevious just stopped moving completely when he got choked

No its cause he wanted him to feel pain every time he moves, Which would fuel his anger, and made sure he wouldn't try to turn on him. Plus the suit made him extremely durable and enhanced all of his force abilities to the max while limiting his movement and speed @kenobi2168

Anakin over his time in the game has had one word to describe him, yet two different takes on that word. BROKEN
At first, he was BROKEN, as in OP and way too good and unstoppable.
Now, he’s just BROKEN, as in his abilities glitch a lot, especially heroic might and retribution, and not to mention his stamina is awful
And Broken, somehow, he’s still kinda good.
I mean, Anakin can still use his pull, Heroic Might, lightsaber attacks and passionate strikes to deliver devastating damage to one poor villain.
Plus, his health is still pretty high, with 900 hp (I think that’s his max).

Aside from Anakin, only Lando, Grievous, Chewie, and Vader can have 800 hp or above.

He really is broken heroic might and retribution if use wrongly instant death.. pull nerfed asf you can’t calculate now.. stamina awful. He still can be powerful but only in decent hands dmg, pull range, 2 knock downs, block break through
His stamina is atrocious. Back when he was OP at least it fit the lore. If I try to 1v1 Dooku or Vader with Anakin I lose every single time due to his stamina and lack of damage. But Luke, I always win. Sucks

Watching this gameplay is so clunky compared to now, I mean they couldn’t even program grievous’ choking animation for more than a second he just had to sit there

I hate how players in battlefront bitched and wine for him to be nerfed because they couldn't kill him or some didnt feel like they were that big of a deal when facing him and felt like they were just a nother droid or trooper..but this is actually how droids wouldve felt or seen anakin like when facing him..same for heros to he was hella op

The thing I hate about heroes vs villains is the hit boxes on the lightsaber heroes, I can hit obi wan from like a mile away
I love how they finally get a chance at defeating Anakin as soon as he exits that ability near 35 health, his threats are Maul and Grevious. Grevious barely surviving, jumps back up, and then Anakin uses a surprisingly long range love-tap, to bring him back down to death. And just like that, Anakin recertifies his OP-ness, and image of being utterly overpowered and relatively at ease.
What game mode is this, I’ve been playing battlefront for years but haven’t played this mode

I am sorry but a character that can essentially solo the other team is awful for everyone but the person playing the character. The enemy team literally has no chance, and your team is resigned to watching you do shit. Anakin sucked ass in terms of player enjoyment outside of the ones playing him. He is buggy now but if you practice with him you can get some decent kill counts and can be a top hvv player

EA should’ve left him with a minor nerf at least to his heroic might. His old retribution is exactly how the chosen one should be, it’s a great counter to a problem Vader and an annoying team
