The fact that you sell a program, yet still put together long and detailed videos like this for free says a lot about your character man. You're a good dude. Just wanted to say thanks.
Here are my favorite parts: 13:48 “I started with about $1,800 for my first order, and a few months later I was making $32,000 a month.” 47:10 “My first product cost $1.86 per unit and I sold it for $20 on Amazon.”
Awesome video Dan. I’ve been a student of yours since 2018 and your course is spot on. I’ve made the necessary sacrifices to save up 4K from my factory job and I truly can’t wait to get the ball rolling.
Most of the videos out there are a bait to take their programmes but your videos are so helpful for a person like me whose doing some research before getting into it. Thank you for that.
Thank you Dan, your videos are always very helpful. Especially, you try to remember that beginners are on a very tight budget thus, being empathic, yet very practical. I will definitely never forget you when I become successful in this life journey after watching most of your videos.
Hi Dan, man I love your ambition you have not only as an entrepreneur, but to make these videos to help out us the beginner s. I been hooked on your videos, because I can see that you speak out truth with no b.s.
All your videos I have watched has been helping me educate myself so I can build a passive income life style! I am glad that their is someone like you out in world to help new hungry individuals to build a e-commerce business!
I don't know how it is in canada or the usa, but here in belgium , you can deduct your expenses for your business from your yearly revenue, on which then taxes are calculated. the more expenses you make the lower your taxable revenue. So if starters on a tight budget are taken a back by the initial investments needed, you must keep in mind that you most likely can recuperate a part of it by deducting professional costs.
@@sddz6452 depends, tax added value is 21% to be witheld on the products you sell, and the products and services you buy yourself to run the business is also 21% to be witheld by the seller, the difference between the two is what u pay to the state. always for every business. Then depending if you are registered as a company with limited liability or if you run the business on your own as a"natural person" , basically like most dropshippers are at the start. so in the last case (natural person) on top of the tax added value, your yearly profit (revenue - costs) get's taxed in the income tax at progressive rates reaching up to 45%. thats why we basically say in belgium, half what you earn goes to the state. example: Not a registered business, but a one person shop aka natural person : 1mill profit (after costs) 400k supplier costs. the tax added value is ( 1mill*21%) - (400k*21%) = roughly 100K u pay to the state. the remaining 900k gets taxed at roughly 45% as income tax. thats 450k you put in your pocket at the end of the year. For businesses with limited liability, on top of the tax added value, you pay 33% corporate tax ( changing to 25% or 20% in some cases in 2020) on your yearly profit as a business. then you can choose to pay yourself a wage with the remaining profit which gets taxed at up to 45% in income tax again. or you can pay yourself with the remaining profit as a dividend which is taxed at 30%. same example: on top of the tax added value ( 100k +-) you pay 33 % on the 900k , then 30% dividend on the remaining 600k +- , so your left with 400k in your own pocket. Better news tho for belgian businesses, from 2020 onwards, the corporate tax will drop to 25 or 20 % in some cases, and the dividend tax will drop to 20% or 15% in some cases. So now for dropshipping in particular if your yearly revenue is below +-7mill, your revenue gets taxed at 20% corporate tax and then at 15% for the remainder that you want to let flow from your business to yourself. so thats 35% total taxes in addition to the Tax added value. so clearly from 2020 onwards it's better to operate under a limited liability business rather than a one man's business as a natural person. Same example: 100k TAV, 900k at 20% ,= 720k left, gets dividend taxed at 15% = 600k left for your own pocket. clearly 2020 is the time to start a dropshipping business for us belgians. hope to have helped you.
Dan, Thanks for doing what you are doing. The monthly breakdown unit prices did not add up for me. You list the 1st order as $2500. Based on a $5/unit x 250 units. That's $1250, not $2500. Selling at $30/unit x 250 units, would yield a revenue of $7500. This would appear to add $1250 to the Profit After Launch + PPC increasing it to $2250 - $4250. This is repeated in the 2nd month where 500 units x $5.00/unit is $2500 not $5000. Where did the $1250 in the 1st month and the $2500 go in the 2nd month go? What costs am I not seeing?
You gave the example of a product being $10 and doing PPC for $1 and getting $9 per sale, but this sounds very wrong. its a pay per click not pay per sale. And we both know that the conversion rate is far from 100%. You might need 8, 10 or 15 clicks to make a sale.

Why don’t you ever show your actually results. Not your winning products but just for everyone to see that you actually are as successful as you say. And maybe I’d buy that 1000 dollar course.
Love your videos, you made me realized how powerful Amazon when combined with the right tools. You have convinced me to start, I got $4k, so that should be good to get into this...just a small note, you didn,t talk about the cost of starting a corporation, in canada it can be several hundred $.

Jungle Scout is not very accurate at all. JS uses the 999 cart method, but Amazon changed how it reports units for most products. Everybody is getting rich selling tools to people who have no idea how competitive Amazon really is. You will be competing with 2 million other sellers, Chinese sellers, and Amazon itself. Good luck. And remember, you are only allow one lifetime account, so don't mess it up.

ShouldI I sell on amazon US? if so i don't know how to get paid on my austrian account. so far i couldn't find any valuable ressource for infos on that. i hope you have some ressources or tips for me. cheers and keep up the good work :)
What if you have an item like acrylic sheets, which come in different thicknesses and sizes. Does each combination of size and thickness need its own UPC barcode?
Sorry - as someone who is just starting to look into this I have a question that may seem dumb. Dan in the video you say choose a product research tool depending on the market where you’ll be selling - is that dictated by where you live? Can I be a seller on Amazon US if I live in Europe?
BARCODE: $250 for only 1-10 barcodes? Which means $25 dollars per product/barcode? or did I misunderstood So if I sell 1000 products on amazon, which means I have to spend $25 x 1000 = $25.000 ?
Hey Dan, I am in Canada. Now would you know if IP Accelerator works in Canada too? Like While your trademark is being file and pending, can you be registered in Brand Registry? or you have to wait 12-18 months.
Your lectures are very helpful in navigating and in understanding the process . Quick question regarding foreign labelling, how have you managed to meet individual market requirements (example: Canada requires labeling/product information to be available in both official languages, English and French)? Do you work with the manufacturer (i.e. Alibaba)? Many thanks.
im really interested in your videos and starting the Amazon FBA however am a college student with less than 1000 in my pocket currently. How am i suppose to start without your course that i cannot afford and access? i feel helpless cause this look amazing but there is no way i can get started! HELP!!
Hey Dan I'm in a big problem at the moment with my FBA journey. In this video, you mentioned commenting below so I'm seeking for some advice as a fellow Torontonian as yourself. I spent 7000 on amazon fba courses + shipping cbm which now results me in paying 500$ in membership fees (kind of link a bond, as mention in video) as i have 10 cbm purchased with the people that i bought the course from. Now, in order to keep the cbm i must pay 500 a year. Their course is primitive and doesnt work so now im kind of down like 5200$ as their course sucks and have this cbm that i must use. please help me man
Dan I want to purchase your training but do you guys offer mentoring and how do you guys do it. Do different persons mentor? How long is the mentorship?
I was wondering how taxes work when you start the business. Does Amazon automatically collect a sales tax for all of your sales and then every quarter you just file the taxes for the income you made that quarter off of just the business? Do you have to file taxes for a regular job every quarter now too or still annually with a W-2?
One bar code is good for how many products? Very, very informative video. You are right: nobody has bother to mention the two types of bonds. Your video really offered a wealth of information. Thank you very much. If I buy your course, can I get access to your trademark lawyer? In my opinion: I think is really worth it to buy a course, this way my chances of failing are pretty none existent. When the moment comes, I'll be reaching out.
I am really interested in the drop shipping course which I am about to do. But I know I will move on to Amazon FBA down the line and so would love this course too. My question is would you recommend taking both courses and is there a discount for buying both of your courses?
A few questions, How would I know which amazon warehouse to ship the product to? Also, if I get an LLC what kind of name would you suggest? I am focusing on one product for now but hope to try different products in other categories in the future. Lastly, who puts the barcodes on my product?
Hi, I would advise hiring a VA with a solid background on what model you would like to take (RA, TL, PL or Wholesale). Important is you knew the general idea. You'll be hitting two birds in one stone. getting things done and learning the process :) Now, I've watched and listened to a few "gurus" from a client as he subscribed to it and all they're saying - hired a VA for the admin task (almost 99% of the work) PS or shameless advertisement: I'm a VA my self for Wholesale and PL, let me know if you want to know my portfolio.
Hey Dan! love the videos, i was just curious as to what to do because at 28:04 you talked about paying for customs using a credit card but what if your under the age to have one?
Than you cant do this obviously. I mean you can open a bank acc but one of your parents will have complete acces to your account. I suggest you to invest in yourself until you're 18
I guess what I’m asking is to use your own logo, does it have to be trademarked? If I’m going to trademark it after a first product can I still use what I plan on my brand to be.
I question your comment about Amazon refunding the monthly fee. I've had a pro account for six months and for four of those months, they were happy to refund the fee, but now they're telling me that their new policy is NOT to refund the monthly fees for any reason.
I've never had an Amazon Selling Account open for 6 months with no products being sold, neither have any of my students in Ecom Freedom - so not sure how to help you there
Yeah, I know, it's embarrassing, to say the least! It all stems from our dealings with our supplier in India, and sending numerous samples to us that were below standard. We thought we'd be up and running within two to three months, but it got out of hand, obviously. Quoted us a DDP price of $1.60 / unit months ago, which we accepted. Then when it came time to finally placing the order, they upped it to $2.20.
@Admin Account, I would advise hiring a VA with a solid background on what model you would like to take (RA, TL, PL or Wholesale).
$5 per unit x 250 isn't $2500, sorry to be that guy but i almost got mad because your numbers didn't add up so i started thinking you were the best scammer id ever seen.
Hello, I was wondering if I get more than 3 completely different products on amazon, with different niches. Would that be bad for me? Also, shall I do that? Sell different stuffs ? How would that be in a point of view from amazon? Thank you in advance
$250 for one barcode... $50 renewal. So for $250 you get unlimited individual barcodes for one product? In other words if you have 1000 units going into Amazon, it won't cost $2500 in barcodes alone? ($250/10=$25x1000units=$2500.)
One barcode per product not per unit. You will only need a new barcode if you sell a different product. For example you will need one barcode for your shoes product and if you want to sell other product such as socks so you need to purchase new barcode. It doesn't matter how many units you have of each product :)

Also, if I get an LLC what kind of name would you suggest? I am focusing on one product for now but hope to try different products in other categories in the future.
Lastly, who puts the barcodes on my product?
How many product variants are too many?
Hi, I would advise hiring a VA with a solid background on what model you would like to take (RA, TL, PL or Wholesale). Important is you knew the general idea. You'll be hitting two birds in one stone. getting things done and learning the process :) Now, I've watched and listened to a few "gurus" from a client as he subscribed to it and all they're saying - hired a VA for the admin task (almost 99% of the work)
PS or shameless advertisement: I'm a VA my self for Wholesale and PL, let me know if you want to know my portfolio.
Hey Dan! love the videos, i was just curious as to what to do because at 28:04 you talked about paying for customs using a credit card but what if your under the age to have one?
Than you cant do this obviously. I mean you can open a bank acc but one of your parents will have complete acces to your account. I suggest you to invest in yourself until you're 18
Thanks for sharing this! I have heard about Jungle Scout. 👍
Dan, for branding, please correct me if I’m wrong, don’t you have to register your brand name?
I guess what I’m asking is to use your own logo, does it have to be trademarked? If I’m going to trademark it after a first product can I still use what I plan on my brand to be.
What are your thoughts on viral launch?
Thank you !
Thanks a lot fot this video :)
And also, what about the warehouse fee from Amazon and referal fees??
Would you say product research tool guarantees a return?

@@mikeenriquez7597 what is a VA
thank you so much. best amazon youtuber. tells the truth and is extremely helpful.
