I booked Taigun coz in reality the ADAS and all that AI is not what I might be using on my rides(which is Astor's USP), experienced and responsible drivers dont need ADAS to be honest . What if I get used to ADAS per say and have to drive a non ADAS one lets say in emergency ?? I will trust my own instincts and drive only, even if there is ADAS . Leather finish is great in Astor no doubt but the engine is too weak and Engine is the soul of the car so no match with the TSI . The other biggest draw back I found in Astor from walkaround and other reviews is that even though it is bigger on paper but actually small interior wise . Doesnt feel roomie and cabin like as that in Taigun . And most important , why did MG invited the media on Buddha Track, I mean we wont be driving Astor on those racing tracks , or was it to mask the driving deficiencies of the Astor ? Taigun's media drive took place in Udaipur where the media explored it on rough patches, hilly roads, city traffic , highways etc , that drive gave a better picture to be honest . In Taigun I can add top notch leather from after market making is much more luxurious but cannot add more power or refinement in Astor's engine after market , also there is no point in switching off AI of Astor to secure my privacy every now and then which is their USP . To conclude I would say Astor is more inclined towards luxury and show off , rather than actual driving . It can be better off as Chauffer Driven Car .

For me sunroof is never a deal breaker . 1.5 is always better over the 1 litre engine , more refinement , overall feel . If you don't want to compromise on feature, I would suggest to go for Kushaq 1.5 Manual . Its the best, feature loaded with great driving dynamics , I would say VFM .

Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist and normally activated only above the speed of 60 km/h by all OEMs. These features are meant to be used only on highways, where the lanes are typically 2.5 meters wide. Thus the driver has enough reaction time to counter steer in case the electronic servo steering turns the vehicle by mistake. Lanes on city roads are narrow, and can cause side to side collision. Also as SAE Level 2 features, LDW and LKA are only meant to avoid accidents in case the driver is sleepy, and loses control on the vehicle for only a short time of less than 10 seconds. LDW and LKA are coarsely regulated by UNECE R130.

I sold my Astor CVT Savy Red after using for a month driven for 3400kms with 3 lakhs loss. Further i request don't go for mg astor CVT. ADAS features not at all usable for indian road conditions.You will definitely regret if you take mg astor. Mileage was very poor. City 8 to 10 , highway 13 to 14 kms. Don't expect mileage more than that.
Please make a review on MG maintenance, mileage in automatic transmission & concerns faced by the customer. I am planning to go for natural asperated automatic transmission. Do you think this AI and ADAS is really useful in Indian context or just gimmick. In day to day driving in Indian roads, lane keeping is useless. Emergency braking might be useful but I don't know how well is it implemented. If you drive with a safe distance some one will get into that space, I hope it will not keep emergency braking.
Sir, your camera didn't cover your foot position properly, so pls cover it in your next video. Exactaly didn't understand who's controlling breaking system of Astor.
While the car has AI and modern features and boasts of best in class infotainment , it's unable to fix basic USB feature like folder scan. Even in Hector it has the same issue. Songs stored in multiple folders in USB stick cannot be played based on your choice as there is no folder scan option. All songs gets mixed up and it plays in a system driven random order! It's a basic USB feature available on all mp3 players and entry level cars. It's unfortunate that a hifi car like this is unable to provide basic features while it boasts of AI. Repeated complaints to MG has not helped Car drive etc is good

Though the vehicle is feature rich, but the quality is awful. There are lot of soft touch materials on the dashboard area but the plastic quality is below average. For example the ac vents plastic quality, rear wiper feels too cheap, they coule have take the same from hector. I dont know why components were designed for this when everything could have carried forward from Hector. Why headlamp controls are on the left when the same brand car, hector has it on the right side. The roof shade is again very thin as it was on the old hector. On the upside, the drive quality is impressive, seat is comfortable and ample amount of knee room available, but you can get hector at almost the same price as its top model. Well is it a creta killer? No. Adas messed it.
MG should hire you to explain astor's feature. They themselves couldn't explain it so extensively

Good features .....but , Brit MG motors is owned by chinese company SAIC motor corporation limited , my first preference would be TATA or Mahindra , rather Japenese / Korean cars but never chinese .
MG It's not British, it is the state-owned Chinese company SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. i.e Chinese govt. owns that. Fake products, fake promises and poor service. Cheeting Indian customer.

Do you think this AI and ADAS is really useful in Indian context or just gimmick. In day to day driving in Indian roads, lane keeping is useless. Emergency braking might be useful but I don't know how well is it implemented. If you drive with a safe distance some one will get into that space, I hope it will not keep emergency braking.

While the car has AI and modern features and boasts of best in class infotainment , it's unable to fix basic USB feature like folder scan. Even in Hector it has the same issue. Songs stored in multiple folders in USB stick cannot be played based on your choice as there is no folder scan option. All songs gets mixed up and it plays in a system driven random order!
It's a basic USB feature available on all mp3 players and entry level cars. It's unfortunate that a hifi car like this is unable to provide basic features while it boasts of AI.
Repeated complaints to MG has not helped

No DCT, no ventilation seat, no WC, no telescopic steering, no auto mirror, no gearbox, no headroom, no paddle shifts, bkwass brking system, maha bkwass engine capacity ,, more noise, cheaper tire performance , No legs room no headroom , touch screen v accha kaam nhe krta or Alexa to English v smjh pata ..

Though the vehicle is feature rich, but the quality is awful. There are lot of soft touch materials on the dashboard area but the plastic quality is below average. For example the ac vents plastic quality, rear wiper feels too cheap, they coule have take the same from hector. I dont know why components were designed for this when everything could have carried forward from Hector. Why headlamp controls are on the left when the same brand car, hector has it on the right side. The roof shade is again very thin as it was on the old hector. On the upside, the drive quality is impressive, seat is comfortable and ample amount of knee room available, but you can get hector at almost the same price as its top model. Well is it a creta killer? No. Adas messed it.
