    Newcastle, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
    Various shots of the city of Newcastle, including the Cathedral, Grainger Street, Grey Street, a high angle view from Grey's Monument, the New Tyne Bridge, the Swing Bridge opening, exterior of the central railway station, where the Flying Scotsman is arriving. Various shots of the docks, cargo ships, tug boats, Tynemouth pier and lighthouse, view from the old Norman keep, views of the city from a boat as the sun sets. We travel down the Tyne towards South Shields and see the point where the river meets the sea.
    The city shots show some nice footage of trams.

    Excellent footage. Many of the views seen here are still virtually the same in 2022. I wonder if this will be still true in another 100 years. I was born in Rye Hill in 1958, all the original flats that existed then have been demolished and Newcastle College now stands in their place... some things change dramatically in wonderful Newcastle.

    It's a false claim that the Sydney Harbour Bridge was muddled on the Tyne Bridge. They aren't the same design. The Hell Gate Bridge in NYC is a smaller replica of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and was completed several years prior.
