Any advice for someone knew to kayak fishing? I have a kayak but without foot petals, I have all the rods and reels and tackle. Plan on taking a trip to Dania beach/Fort Lauderdale soon. Thanks!
Casey Barrick there us much that I can tell you but the most important part in all is to be safe, pfd , radio, lights if is night time, and don't go alone ever anything can happen. Have you fish inshore with the kayak or any lake?
Rickys kayak Yes I’ve done some lake fishing. I also spearfish, so I wanted to spearfish for a while and once I got tired, do some rod and reel fishing. I’m looking at investing into a decent size fish bag as well
try to stay shallow and see how u do, the problem with offshore is the strong currents ,everything else is no biggie really, I like the ice mule pro catch 42 1 ice bag and u good all day, but if u buy this bag make sure to use a heavy duty trash bag inside fish spines can punctured the bag and water will go inside the layers, no bueno!

Hey rick, i plan on offshore kayaking outta Dania for the first time soon but I have a paddle kayak. Do you think it’s possible?
Yes it can be done many people do it but, its all about how in shape you are, and how the current is, whenever u go please first time don't pass 50 feet and if the current is strong even less till you get used to it, with kayak you have? Some kayaks are easier to paddle than others, also we go out mostly sundays we use channel 67 you welcome to join me !!!!
