Very nice Fossil Friday. It's a little difficult to picture the ammonite when it's all in pieces, so very much looking forward to seeing it put together. Thanks for sharing.
Great job Emma (and Kevin)! 💯 I didn't think you'd get it out in one piece, looking at how embedded it was in the rock so I believe you were very fortunate the pieces you got. You said the rock was tough; any idea what the rock type was?
that was so much fun to see that :) and the effort it took to get it out. We've been to the quarry at Rheine last year and we found two huge ammo's but the rock they were in was so hard you would have needed a jackhammer to get them out.... so i could only make pictures of them.. the one from Hannover though, safely here and restored is insane :) :) my very first halve a meter ammonite :) hope to get more from there :) great to see your love of fossils :) !
Try rotary hammer next time, which saves tons of my time. Very beautiful ammonite and nice hunting. It's so hard to find ammonites in Chongqing, China. Me and my friends have to travel to other provinces to find it.
I live in Northern Michigan and we get a lot of ammonite pieces. After a while, my eyes became more attuned to ammonite geometry, structures, and dolomitization. It turns out, they're very common here...just all broken into pieces. :-( I have entire boxes of 'parts'. You are very fortunate to be able to find whole specimens!
I only just found your Chanel but as someone who really desperately wants to find cool things like this and have adventures and stuff can you reccomend and places or anything I could get started it’s not for profit or anything I really just want them to study
Great find! good geology!

You should put some of the fragments together to make a whole 'one' 😉 could be a fun project! 🐚
Cool ammonite!
I'd fossil hunt with you anywhere, anytime! ❤ So cool!
Really cool! Pretty!! Just like your Face!! Love youR voice!! ***💯😉 💯***
Did you move to live so close to such great fossil beds, or were you lucky enough to have been born in the region?
I am fortunate enough to have them within about a 4 hour drive so I plan little trips as often as I can 😊

I'd really recommend Yorkshire (whitby) or Charmouth if you're a beginner in the UK 😊
That is so cool.
