this game needs a whole gta level of recognition and developers need to take this game seriously . They must release updates and hold tournaments for this . This game is perfect gems for rts genre

Rise of Nation brings so much memories with my late friend, the good old days where me and my good friend visit to Computer Cafe and do a LAN game 2v2 match. It was awesome!
I remember when it came out and I still have the original game and now own it on steam. I love this game! So many nations to play, the ages, unique units, the wonders were well done.
So cool to see Woerden in the Dutch campaign, it's my hometown and 1 of the "older" cities in the Netherlands. Currently we've got like 58.000 population so it's really cool to see it in this great game!
I've been playing this game since 07 and I still haven't found a better game Rise of Nations Thrones and Patriots. Nomad mode is best to start with low resources and very expensive and slow technology. It makes all of your decisions and tactics even more crucial. Online mode was a blast!
agree heavily on that, that's such a good game, there is no others like this one, its just so perfect, i wish it had a sequel and more, but sadly rts genre is quite dead nowadays, and that's a shame
Such a great game. Really has/had cool features for its time. Loved how roads are automatically made, the waves on the coastline. And the campaign combining tune based with RTS battles. I might have to redownload this for the weekend.

"Mods are a cheat" Red alert 2 had a mod that allowed the AI to accumulate and send massive armies. If you gave the AI to much time, GG. RA2 was one of those games where as you accumulated experience, even at the hardest difficulty you could predict every move. The Brutality only existed for the first few minutes, or if you by accident had a 1000x stronger CPU you died in 5 sec due to game speed.
No. Rise Of Nations & the Fantasy Game Rise of Legends are PC only titles. Rather great games and make even most Modern RTS games seem rather dull & over complex. Check it out if you have a PC, its rather fun and you can even fire nukes and ICBMs at your enemy and command Bombers with nuclear capability.
This game is lame. The units wander about and are uncontrollable. The strategic gameplay is nearly non existent. I'm glad I'll never be tempted to play this game again.
not only lame, but unit counters ... empire earth 2 level of epic. Planes arent controllable like in EE or E:DoMW. Shift + F or B or N to select 60 planes of a type that had fuel. RoN ? Stealth bombers uncounterable from the ground or something like it. I couldnt take the absurdity after a week of trying hard to spot the greatness I was to find.

This game and age of mythology, are two best games from my childhood, still are they need a remaster please
I've been playing this game for ~10 years and never bored. Highly recommended! But play with humans, that's the real fun part!

it was a good game from what I remember. I didnt play it as much as AoE. there were so many rts games at this time. I probably forgot half of them
