I have just watched that movie in HD. ;-) It is AMAZING. The world they created, the atmosphere, the colours, the characters....just everything. Definitely worth watching it. 5 of 5 stars!!!
Korea seriously deserves a lot more respect, they have been and still are the workhorse of the animation industry (CG not necessarily included). I'd hate to think of all the great animation we would have missed out on if their cheaper animation production method didn't get the job done, especially some of the more classic children's cartoons/anime's from the past.
This is probably the best looking animated movie ever made to date! .......yet it suffers from the most appalling banding i have ever seen in a movie. It took 7 years to make this, and it looks like it at times, because it looks simply breathtaking, but then how did the makers not notice the banding issues that were happening in there glorious animation during the production of this film. It is hard not to notice, as it even appears in the faces here and there, aaaaarrrrrrrgh!
Korea animated "Transformers" and countless other animated cartoon series. Koreans also are responsible for a lot of Disney and Dreamworks. Korean animation has been dominant since the 80's.
I find it amazin that this film isnt rly on the map - i have the original DVD copy and it is amazing quality. This anime took them 7 years to make and is imho one of the if not the best anime i have ever seen. There is no other animated move that manages to portray human emotions as much as this film does. To define it simply.....pure art.
you should really buy it and support them they ran out of funds three times trying to make it and it was the first animation to actually combine 3d rendering with 2d graphics
Anime has not meant animation from Japan for well over two decades now. Anime refers to any animation that is done in the Eastern style, whether it's from Japan, Korea, China, or even the United States.
Dont diss korean animations people. An animator is an animator, no matter the nationality, its a Job and a for of income, no matter where ur from so please stfu, if u dont like korean animate films dont watch majority of animated catroons frm aound the world :)
probably "exported-to-Japan" version...which would have japanese casts and japanese language, as all the other movies exported to other countries would do...
yay! post-apocalyptic anime movie!!! ^^ I haven't been able to find any post apocalyptic animes...well this is from korea not japan so not really anime....but close enough! =D any1 know any other post-apocalyptic animes or anime movies?? =)
@neoshaolin1 also i see alot of disney animations now being done by koreans, not all of the animators are kroean but yeah...i personaly think an animator is animator no matter where they are from and many non asian animators take inprration from korea/ japanese animations. like Huntik, deltora quest, chaotic (tho ist vage ) but that is just me...we all need to take inerpation from somewhere no matter what we do or where we are from
I don't mean to butt in the discussion here, but I would hardly call Lion King an "early" animation. You do realize that Disney started making animation from 1920s right? :)
the Hayao Miyazaki ones :) thinking twice, some of them are even better than this one. Even if you didnt like this one, u should cheeck them out, give them a chance even if your first impression would be bad, you wont be sorry
vicky singh It's just that there's better versions *now* and it's not like a searched "Sky Blue (Wonder days) movie: 2007"!!! :D Now goodnight, I'mma sleep.
I wonder if people dogging korean animation realize just how much of it is seen by american eyes everyday unknowingly?! The first season of the simpson's animation was done by koreans. All of avatar's animation was done by the korean people. So, tell me ignorent racists who think korea's animation is some kind of cheap knock off of Japan's. Just what is so damn horrible about it?! NOTHING! I think it's great that a country can come so far in such a short time.
and what the hell are you guys talking about. what the hell is envent? can't you even spell some words right? i don't expect grammars, but would u at least keep the spelling right?
Stumbled across this by accident long ago. but this intro has always stuck with me. fantastic
I have just watched that movie in HD. ;-)
It is AMAZING. The world they created, the atmosphere, the colours, the characters....just everything.
Definitely worth watching it. 5 of 5 stars!!!
the subtitles were hilarious, "go back to work Obama" is by far the best English to English translation I have ever read. ;)
there was also some mention of sexting at one point, completely relevant, I assure you.
best intro ever. saw this when it came out and it stuck in my head even until now
I will now go out and buy this DVD! Thank you! Can't wait to watch in HD, omg!
It's a Korean film, guys. Japanese are rarely named 'Kim', 'Moon' or 'Young'. I saw this at its premiere here in L.A. years and years ago.

At last, an extremely good movie without sick propaganda
you should really buy it and support them they ran out of funds three times trying to make it and it was the first animation to actually combine 3d rendering with 2d graphics
If you like these kind of movies check out studio Ghibli they have made some of my fave movies of all time!!!!!

u can find that ani in korean download sites.
Simply, animes and cartoons aren't so popular in Korea as it is in Japan, which may be why there aren't usually good quality Korean "animes."
Korean animation aka "Mahna". Pretty neat.
its a korean movie. go check on wikipedia
i'm enjoying it so far i don't care if it is korea's animation LOOKS BETTER DAN MOST japanese "animes."
@Telilax nah. lol. it's just part of their uniform.
@neoshaolin1 also i see alot of disney animations now being done by koreans, not all of the animators are kroean but yeah...i personaly think an animator is animator no matter where they are from and many non asian animators take inprration from korea/ japanese animations. like Huntik, deltora quest, chaotic (tho ist vage ) but that is just me...we all need to take inerpation from somewhere no matter what we do or where we are from
theres both dubbing and captions. imo captions is better

@chheidze
no that is evildoer korea. north korea is good korea. or what i like to call, "gorea"

Only 240p. Fuck that.
+Todd Gobbett this was uploaded in 2007 do you really think of 1080p
vicky singh It's just that there's better versions *now* and it's not like a searched "Sky Blue (Wonder days) movie: 2007"!!! :D Now goodnight, I'mma sleep.
i think so

@greenday01989 I never did say all of Korea's animation sucked. Just most of the ones I see or watch.
This was uploaded on 2007, what the fuck did you expect, 2160p?
@neoshaolin1 Don't forget the boondocks. That's drawn by Koreans ;)
240p. Seriously?
3DCGの合成部分には違和感が有る。背景群集が動いていないのも手抜きに感じる。
아..............
I think this is korean animation
UM. actually, it's korean
kk. jeez i get all the comments people
you mean korean, right? cause this one is made by koreans
Looks good but incredibly boring. I don't even remember why.
and what the hell are you guys talking about. what the hell is envent? can't you even spell some words right? i don't expect grammars, but would u at least keep the spelling right?
@neoshaolin1 I hate avatar, and simpsons sucked all together. Guess I do have a reason to knock off Korea's animation.
I don't like dubbed anime...-_-' Thanks anyways ^^
