I completely forgot about what happened in this movie besides the singing chipmunks and them becoming famous and all. But as soon as the first couple seconds of the movie started I literally just remembered the entire film and it also brought so many memories of me as a kid loving it. And watching this movie with my cousins and friends. Used to love to listen to the Christmas song that Alvin and the chipmunks did, literally listened to it every year during Christmas well up to like 8 years ago. Love your videos Rebecca! They always make me smile and laugh.

I've always watched snippets here and there when it was playing on TV, but on a random weekend during my college days, I went "hmmm I should go watch all the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies". Never watched it again since, liked some of the songs tho

And still listen listen to a few songs today avoiding to gimmick of the voice. They just are well-made to me, and the characters are kinda cute... I think it's interesting and nice the creator's son wanted to continue his father's legacy somehow. Even tho it's all a silly idea on paper, it's got it's harmless charm when done well (and sparely)

David Cross is that absolute douchiest character actor there ever was. Well, W.C Fields may have done it better, but that was 100 years ago.
Alvin and the Chipmunks is based on an old cartoon from I think the 80s maybe older like 60s. So this is basically a live action.
Their first hit was Witch Doctor (1962).
Believe it or not before the live action movies there were animated TV series as well as animated movies of Alvin and the chipmunks. My favorite animated film was The Chipmunk Adventure, the chipmunks and the chipettes race around the world in hot air balloons unaware that they are being manipulated by jewel thieves. 🐿💎
