CDT is the color toner density light sensor. You have to clean it with a DRY cotton swab. Probably just has toner on it. Google the model number and you should find a step by step.

The nature of wood is that it shall move when there is any variation in temperature and humidity. Those tables are going to "adjust" themselves with the change of seasons.
You would have been better to go with thinner table tops made of laminated wood. Ahem...plywood. At least the tables should have been steel framed with the wood tops dropped into the framing from above and fixed into the frame with bolts into the sides through the frame. Semi-floating table top.

the clean the ctd sensor has to do with dirt getting into your printer. There are tutorials on how to clean the sensor in various printers. I can't tell what printer you have so its up to you to look

    • @chokoth
      @chokoth 4 роки тому

Since the printer looks brand new, it's more likely that it's simply a matter of the plastic protective sheeting being on the imaging unit. Kinda guessing since we don't know the model number of the printer. You should be able to google "Install imaging unit" with your model number to get installation instructions.

To take the office reno to the next level, it would be awesome if you guys painted the back wall with the sword and awards with some sort of dark color, such as a dark grey or a dark blue, and to replace the tube lights with either recessed can lights or just put 4 bar spot lights (each can have between 3 and 6 spotlights) in the locations where the current tube lights are. You can position those spot lights how ever you want, and even point them at the awards. Make the spotlights a nice warm color and you got a great office space! Also maybe install some kind of rugged carpet to finish it off and reduce echos. Love what you've done so far with the tables! Keep up the awesome work!

One of the reasons the table top wood is warped or cupped because the finish was not applied to both sides of the top. This allows moisture to be absorbed differently, thus causing the table to go out of flat. The wood’s moisture content may also be highly variable because it was stored outside in the weather. When new wood is brought into my design studio or my workshop, it’s first cut to very rough dimension, then stacked and stickered, for a few weeks or longer (depending on thickness and length) so it can acclimatize to the shop’s humidity. Seasonal wood movement can also be a factor even after the wood is fully finished.

FYI- the more you plane off of solid wood, the more likely you are to release forces in it causing it to warp- you should let it stabilize for 6-12 months in it's new environment, then take it back to the planer and take as little as possible off it to make it flat again. With the legs you have on them, the wood can expand and contract seasonally without causing any problems, so that part is good...

Yeah that printer error is pretty common with Xerox.
Just means that you need to clean Colour Toner Density Sensor.
Didn't see what model you have but the steps are pretty much the same on all of them.
In a room with as little light as possible:
1: power off the printer (unplugged from the wall after you power it down)
2: (depending on the model) open the front or back of the printer and Locate the CTD sensor (or ADC depending on model) (normally behind the front cover, near the top middle area of the Transfer Belt.)
3: Very gently wipe the sensor window using a clean, dry cotton swab or in a pinch a small clean rag.
4: close it back up and power it back on.
If you look up your model# with CTD error you should be able to find instructions with images to help you as well.
Best of luck, and keep up the great work.
    :)

First of all great job! The tables look nice! Love the angle iron legs. I hope you don’t mind some constructive criticism since I’m a furniture maker. The reason it is potato chipped can be several reasons. The first one is it not being fully dried. You can check with a moisture meter. Also what helps prevent warping is orienting the grain correctly. For a table top you want it so the growth rings form an “s“ pattern. You don’t want the crown of the growth rings facing either both up or both down. What you do is orient the crown of the first board up and then the second one down. Or vise versa. If you have more than two boards you just keep doing the same. Hope this helps.

Remedy for you printer error : 1 Is the shipping protection sheet still on the Imaging Unit? Remove the protection sheet. Go to step 2. 2 Open the Front Cover and check the ADC Sensor Window. Is the ADC Sensor window dirty? Go to step 3. Go to step 4. 3 Turn off the power, and gently wipe the ADC Sensor window with a clean dry cloth or cotton swab. After wiping the window, close the Front Cover. Does the error still occur when the power is turned Off and On? Go to step 4. Complete. 4 Reseat the Toner Cartridges (Y, M, C and K), and check that the lock key is in the lock position. Does the error still occur when the power is turned Off and On? Go to step 5. Complete. 5 Perform the procedure gToner Motorsh on page 4-31to check the Toner Motors (Y, M, C and K) for rotation. Does each Toner Motor function normally? Go to step 6. Go to step 7. 6 Check the gears of the Dispenser Assy for shape and operation. Are the shape and operation of the gears of the Dispenser Assy normal? Go to step 11. Replace the Dispenser Assy. 7 Check the connectors between the MCU Board and Toner Motors (Y, M, C and K). Are the following connected correctly? • P/J18 • P/J181(Y) • P/J182(M) • P/J19 • P/J191(C) • P/J192(K) Go to step 9. Reconnect all the connectors, then go to step 8. 8 Does the error still occur when the power is turned Off and On? Go to step 9. Complete. 9 Check the Toner Motor Harness Assy for continuity. Disconnect J18 and J19 from the MCU Board. Disconnect J181(Y)/J182(M)/J191(C)/ J192(K) from the Toner Motors. Is each wire of J18 J181/182 continuous? Is each wire of J19 J191/192 continuous? Go to step 10. Replace the Toner Motor Harness Assy. 10 Check the power to the Dispenser Motor Assy. Disconnect J18 from the MCU Board and measure the voltage across P18-3 ground on the MCU Board. Does the voltage measure about +24 VDC when the interlock switch (Interlock Harness Assy) is pushed? Replace the Dispenser Assy. Replace the MCU Board. 11 Reseat the Imaging Unit. Does the error still occur when the power is turned Off and On? Go to step 12. Complete. 12 Replace the Toner Cartridge (Y, M, C or K), and check that the lock key is in the lock position. Does the error still occur when the power is turned Off and On? Go to step 13. Complete. 13 Replace the Imaging Unit. Does the error still occur when the power is turned Off and On? Go to step 14. Complete. 14 Reseat the Transfer Belt. connectors? Does the error still occur when the power is turned Off and On? Replace the Transfer Belt. Complete.

Build an angle iron frame, take the lags out and let the slab of wood rest in the frame. You can attatched it with elongated holes from the bottom of the angle iron into the slabs. Allow it to move across the grain. You may have to “flatten” it a few more times....you absolutely will not be able to constrain the Wood with lag bolts.. it is a cool table. You can easily keep the look with some simple mods.

    1. start with a flat bar (assuming they're also 10ft pieces and you want 4 out of them)
    2. cut to the proper profile (even better if its wide enough flat bar that you can basically split them down the middle diagonally)
    3. forge the taper you want (to reach proper height)
    4. make another copy (if step 2 isn't viable)
    5. wield the 2 pieces together (to get your L shape)
    6. grind and polish
    7. WIN

Alec! I am tech support for those WorkCentre 6027 machines. The machine is not detecting enough toner coming from your toner cartridge. Pull those toner's out of the machine, put them back in and restart it. The machine will perform a color density test again and if it passes you're good. If not, you'll need a tech. If you call in, you just may get me.

Great video guys! I would like to give you guys some helpful advice.
1.) I'm assuming you may have the printer issue fixed but Xerox 6505 092-310 Error :
The protection sheet on the imaging unit is probably still on, remove that and the error should go away.
Otherwise, you will need to call Xerox and have it repaired as it can be the sensor circuit went bad.
2.) If you are sitting in the office for more than 2 hours at a time, you MUST think about ergonomics around your your sitting and typing. You can develop painful carpal tunnel issues if you don't have gel pads for your wrists and making sure you have great posture while sitting with your feet on the ground.
You also need to get up every 2 hours and walk around and if you don't...over time, you will develop poor circulation in your legs.
Just trying to pass on information that I have learned over the years being an IT guy.

Alex, the reason that table top warped is it was left outside in the elements before you bought it and probably wasn't kiln dried. Next time you do a woodworking project, consult your neighbor who's a woodworker during your planning and resource gathering stages.

For the printer, look in the manual for info on the CTD sensor and where it's located then either fined and clean it of find and replace it
