Momonosuke's fruit is literally a clone of Kaido's created by Vegapunk using the research on lineage factors. But it has been stated that it is defective as copy. One reason why that might be is that Momo did not start out as a fish but became directly a dragon, which may be to his advantage, but would make it an imperfect copy. That being said this is conjecture as we do not know for sure whether Kaido was a fish at some point or not, but it is a reasonable assumption as so far it seems pretty identical apart from color.
Kaido was never a fish. That makes no sense since that's the devil fruit category. For example Kaku has the Ox fruit model Giraffe. He didn't start as an ox, he's just a giraffe. All Zoans naming schemes work this way. For some reason everyone got confused with Kaido when it's always been like this.

“Moments like this remind you why this is your favorite anime”… I won’t say anything obviously praising words about 1015.. but I remember when I dropped watching OP and later thought “hmm, I have some episodes to watch”. Was watching a bunch of them a it was surprisingly good and all, but nothing more. Until… that moment when Zoro and Sanji saved Ootama and stood up against Orochi. This moment with iconic music and pure badassery reminded me of that exact though, that I mentioned in the beginning. Can’t wait for the story to unfold after 1015 :)
@@blockling3635 I think his homicidal drunk phase (I think this was the name of it) is his awakening. Cause he gets all bulked up and Luffy even said that Kaido's haki got stronger when he was fighting in that phase.

Some stuff on haki. This is just my interpretation, so... We saw characters use haki from the very beginning. Yeah Oda didn't have a concrete system for it in mind from the get but it was still a part of the series. Shanks' presence intimidated the Sea King. Luffy could tell Mr. 3 apart from his wax figures in Little Garden on 'a hunch'. Zoro heard the 'rhythm of all things' and learned to cut steel. A part of me wants to include Luffy's victory over Crocodile, he punched right through the desert spada attack which even looked like it was coated in haki in retrospect, and it would make more sense if it was, but that's probably overstepping. When Blackbeard met Luffy, he said that he thought Luffy's haki would be greater based on his bounty (the translation at the time calls it 'ambitious spirit', but he says haki). There are a bunch more examples I'm forgetting. The big step forward for Luffy during the timeskip wasn't 'gaining' haki. He already had it. We were told this pretty clearly, everything living has haki. His training wasn't to acquire it, but to understand it, strengthen it and manifest it in a more useful way. So for armament step 1 is the base, the character uses their haki naturally. Step 2 is coating, the character manifests it around their body. In Wano, haki is called Ryou, meaning flow. They understand that a person can flow their haki both through their body to achieve step 2, but also outside of their body as step 3. Mostly people call this and step 4 ryou. Luffy jumped right past step 3 and went straight to step 4, which is the ability to push that external haki into other objects, damaging them from the inside. That's a complete overview of armament. Observation is the ability to sense the presence of all things and the will of anything that has a will. This ability at its furthest extent allows a person to basically understand where everything is, and what will happen to everything around them based on how things are moving and what any agent is planning on doing. That's what future sight is.
This is just a personal theory but I think their will be higher haki than this, like the ones the star elders use and imu-sama, I wanna guess a crazy thought that they can use haki to damage the spirit directly lol, but the world of one piece is a masterpiece in the making and it's fun to theorize different speculations
I have no doubt in my mind, that sometime after these epic adventures on top of Onigashima . "We Are" probably taking a slightly upward trajectory on the 1000 Sunny. And Roof Piece... will become Moon Piece, which in it self, is a pretty childish, but wonderful dream!
Roger and Luffy's dream is to bring all the races and throw the biggest party the world has ever seen eating, drinking, singing, dancing, thats why they laughed, it seems like a child's dream. In the end of previous arcs something like party or celebration happened. Screen capture this and get back to this comment after luffy becomes the king of the pirates in the end
After this episode, i have no doubts that Yamato will join the Straw hats! Also Yamato and Kaido have fought several to many times, it is part of the reason why she is so tough and strong now, that is what happens when you fight with the worlds strongest beast and live every time!

they sacrifice a lot of usual anime stuff to make these episodes so fucking good. They need the status of "best anime episode ever made by far, better than most anime movies" for these moments. Theyre willing to sacrifice the weekly for those yearly eps. They dont have much a choice to do it differently though to be fair. If they were to make a pretty good anime overall then they wouldnt be able to have those insane highs. Thatd also mean that theyd catch up to the manga super quickly. At this point theyre a year-ish behind which is good for them. Sadge that they have to sacrifice quality over trash system but hopefully we'll get a reanimation at some point after one piece is over
Luffy really him fr the way he walked past 2 Yonko's like they were nothing. Easily my favorite scene not just in the series but in anime so bad ass and then hit Kaido with Red Roc and reiterates his goals while the og op plays faintly in the background 🤌 absolute perfection imo
Just to clarify Ryou is the Wano name for haki.(Not just arament but all 3 types of haki)Since haki was originaly discoverd as a way for swordsman to strenghten the blades)And over time people found other Aplications for it.In the case of Ryou its still arament haki with the difference that you dont just coat your arm it but you let it flow out without having to stress or concentrate to hard to get it.(And it was explained by Hyou that if you learn how to coat yourself in haki you can use it to get your haki inside of your opponent witch would act as a poison destroying the body of the target from within).

No. Kaido did not start out as a fish. Its just a straight dragon. Nothing more nothing less to it. The "Model" of the fruit is "Azure Dragon" not "Fish". Kaido did not "awaken" his dragon form from fish form. Its always been just a dragon. The type of DF is a fish fruit yes, but again the model is the key to what the power is. Oda went with fish-fish because he already classified the Dino fruits as "Dragon" fruits. And we all know that dragons and dinosaurs are two different creatures, so taking inspo from the koi fish legend, he made the actual dragon fruits, fish fruits. Confusing yes, but it makes sense.
The answer has been right there from the first time we saw momo eat the DF. The DF he ate was a clone of kaidos, so if momo ate the fruit, turned into a dragon (and not a fish) what does that tell you about kaido?
Next luffy get his ass kick by kaido and almost died several time. Plot armor therefore luffy will win one day. There is only three tyes of haki but each one has levels upon level. Luffy hasn’t fully master any of it yet. Not even 1. Ryou is just 1 of the form in amarment haki. A higher teir then what luffy has been using.

Just to clarify Ryou is the Wano name for haki.(Not just arament but all 3 types of haki)Since haki was originaly discoverd as a way for swordsman to strenghten the blades)And over time people found other Aplications for it.In the case of Ryou its still arament haki with the difference that you dont just coat your arm it but you let it flow out without having to stress or concentrate to hard to get it.(And it was explained by Hyou that if you learn how to coat yourself in haki you can use it to get your haki inside of your opponent witch would act as a poison destroying the body of the target from within).

No. Kaido did not start out as a fish. Its just a straight dragon. Nothing more nothing less to it. The "Model" of the fruit is "Azure Dragon" not "Fish". Kaido did not "awaken" his dragon form from fish form. Its always been just a dragon. The type of DF is a fish fruit yes, but again the model is the key to what the power is. Oda went with fish-fish because he already classified the Dino fruits as "Dragon" fruits. And we all know that dragons and dinosaurs are two different creatures, so taking inspo from the koi fish legend, he made the actual dragon fruits, fish fruits. Confusing yes, but it makes sense.
The answer has been right there from the first time we saw momo eat the DF. The DF he ate was a clone of kaidos, so if momo ate the fruit, turned into a dragon (and not a fish) what does that tell you about kaido?
