Same. Just beat kanto, did the islands, went to hoen and halfway thru. Its been about 2 weeks and id be further but i do alot of grinding and farming for high iv rares. I love it
yup i've been playing for 3-4 months on and off, just changes my whole view of pokemon so good, would have been playing for years if I knew it exists. I took a big break from pokemon after i accidentally over saved my W/X version with 1900+ hours but pokemmo has revived my love for pokemon.
I just started a couple weeks ago, your vids have been super helpful, yesterday I just finished the the last region storyline. 88 hours in and loving the game.
When i was younger and playing the first 4 gens of Pokemon i put around 2000 hours into all those games in total. The fact that i played that much and still didnt even know IVs and EVs. I think they cover a lot of the things that SHOULD be covered. Bag, difficulty of game, pokedex, etc
I started playing summer of 2023 in unova and started slowing down, but as soon as I saw johto coming out, made me speed my way through to access the new stuff! I think that’s something many miss out on is that pokemmo drops new content right in front of you, compared to the actual pokemon games.
Difficulty is a huge Pros of pokemmo it makes you like use whatever mons and forces you to think and build move set to be efficient where in original games it's just you exp you spam
hey patrouski i've started to play at the same month and same year than you on 2013, and i have a picture showing the summary of a ditto, a normal one but was a lot for me on that days, thats why the photo xd, and the IV's doesn't appear anywhere, i think on that days we talk to a npc to know an aprox of the IVs or something like that, dont remember well, someone knows?
Yes! You used to have to calc them out of game but it would still show EVs in game. Eventually they added the ability to see a range of the ivs, like on a level 1 pokemon it would say "Atk IV: 1-31" And then if you leveled it to level 20 it would say "Atk IV 28-31" But you still wouldnt know the exact number until you calced it LOL, it was slowly updated to be better and better over time. nintendo does not allow advertisement. its the same with pokemon showdown - they pretend they dont exist as long the devs keep "low key" - meaning the devs dont advertise it themselves
As every new player the breeding system made me very angry about the game and made mostly stop after completing regions but the more you play and think about it the better it proves to be good especialy when you start selling mons and buying them it makes so much sense Still it's hard to master breeding and not mess up but that's a think you'd never have if pokemon didn't consume because you'd just use The ONE ditto so pokemmo have a deep layer and dimsension
To your point on why pokemmo doesnt advertise itself, I believe its due to the fact that if the devs did advertise themselves then this hidden gem would be on Nintendos radar and that wouldn't be good

When i started pokemmo, I did the gen 1 story and then bred from scratch a 6iv blissey. Probably spent an easy 200 hours on that breed project alone.
