I can see why they changed it for the game... can you imagine all the fighting sound effects over the screams, clangs, etc. in this track? I'd shit myself o_O
Holy damn, this music is legit scary.
I love this version, I wish this version made it into the final game somewhere. I like the decided upon Cleric Beast music for that fight. But maybe if this had made the final cut for the fight against Vicar Amelia, that would have been awesome.

I'm not sure if there's an option to fight Cleric Beast after the moon turns red, but it would be pretty cool if this played only after that. Since it all seems creepier after the moon turns red (visible Amygdalas, different music in Hunter's Dream), I wouldn't be surprised to see this theme change for this fight. And it would actually make sense, considering you have to kill Amelia first to get to Rom. Maybe to show that they're somehow related, not only in themes.
The only thing missing is the screams of the vicar as the fight progresses

The most brutal theme I have ever herd I want Bloodborne 2 to have a nother Cleric Beast boss that is way more hellish than Lawrence and I want this theme to be it's theme just imagine how awesome it will be.

Honestly, I prefer the alpha theme.
This is what dread and woe sound like, and I am satiated by it.
I always play the alpha version on a separate device when fighting either boss, because the choir here steals the show, much like Fromsoft stole my money when I first saw the trailers for this amazing game.

1) This is a reversed version of Laurence music, since the first problem with Blood was created by it!
2) This is a fucking incomplete version of Laurence's music, because the beast doesn't have any information about the past and the fundation of the Healing Church.

Instead of re-using the music they had they should have used this one for Cleric Beast and the other for Amelia (or vice versa)

I prefer this version for simply listening purposes, but my guess is it was toned down for gameplay purposes.
No! It's very different! This version has more importance to the lore than the final version, in special because Laurence, the first cleric and creator of Healing Church.
I love how it gets downright carnival themed.
This could’ve been the perfect theme for Vicar Amelia, the part at the beginning sounds like something gruesomely transforming. The Cleric beast stays with the new theme.
Now imagine if this version of the OST played if you fought Cleric Beast at night in-game.

Is there anything relevant lore-wise hidden in the whispering, a-la Pinwheel? I can't make anything out, but if it IS anything like Pinwheel, where the whispering (like 'I'm so, so sorry' and 'You killed us') shed so much light on the story of Him, maybe it could reveal some of the backstory surrounding Amelia and the state of Yharnam as a whole...

I think I heard the curse is upon us.
Weeeeeeeell, this is usually the first boss you'll face in bloodborne, coupled with the fact you recently underwent the transfusion which both infects your character with the scourge and gives them the strength required to be a hunter.
The scourge seems to manifest itself primarily in high stress situations, as seen with Gascoigne, it's possible that this is the beasthood creeping out and clawing at your sanity, this is only reinforced by one of Gascoigne's lines,
"The sweet blood, oh, it sings to me"

A badass theme to remember the start of a great game. FromSoft, you made Demon's Souls, which was an amazing game. Dark Souls came after.. and THAT was the best Soulsborne game ever. Dark Souls II.. not at all a bad game, but we wanted something to so with Dark Souls I. All we got was a silver Ornstein. Bloodborne.. Most likely the start of your next line of games, and a good idea, too. Dark Souls III.. All though none of the games topped Dark Souls I, Dark Souls III just beat Bloodborne with the amount of story, and you made Souls fans cry when the Soul Of Cinder started using the moves and music of Gwyn, Lord of Sunlight. So, here is my ranking: Dark Souls II, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, Dark Souls III, and Dark Souls I takes the front.

How exactly is the final version different?
Dude, Its a lot different, you can tell by just comparing the first seconds. Voices are a lot different, and i dont Think this version was Live recorded

Vicar Amelia and Cleric Beast share the same song, this was the song in the Bloodborne Alpha featuring the chanting and was later toned down in the retail game.
