- Now the bigger crossings are starting. We have a nice build up with first the 650 miles from Sevilla to the Canaries, now the 850 miles to Cabo Verde and next the 2.100 miles to Barbados.
Difficult weather patterns but still surprisingly good sailing times.
I absolutely love your videos. They take me to places I can never go but make me feel as if I am there with you. You are very adventurous, clever and genuinely nice people. I am impressed with your sailing skills your commentary the music you choose and your wonderful, artistic and professional video skills. Thank you for sharing and well done and good luck to you all. Tony Costa
Thx for all the positive feedback
Always flawless videos. What a joy to see a boat glide so easily on the water.
Superb photography, Prima
Beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing!!
Wow, what a great video! Beautiful ladies, calm sailing, fishing, fine food, playful dolphins, colorful sunsets, wave sounds and perfect tunes!! One of your best videos yet, thank you.
You forgot to mention the friendly deck slave that lost over 10 kg
Stunning photography again !
A very nice sail and a great test of your new home. ✨👍🏻✌🏻️✨🌊🌬⛵️🏝👙🌞✨
Great work (noted that you dropped the main to keep speed over the waves timed well with the hull passage- less rock & roll, less work for the autopilot, less stomache discomfort for all!). Really enjoy the forward buoyancy- very safe with all of that sail up! I've really come to love the whole boat- she performs so well in light airs!! Great use of your sails. Thank heavens Tinna enjoys fishing & making sushi! Hahaha... great passage, GreatCircle! Thanks for taking us along too!
Very thrilled to see your 55 on adventures!
What a beautiful sailing boat. Quite fast. I so enjoy following your cruising adventures.
Best

Another great video. Superb cinematography and editing. Such a relaxed crew working well together. Your boat is just soooooo beautiful as it moves through the water. ❤️👏
I never get tired of watching dolphins, especially at night if there is some fosforessence, just beautiful.
We too
Phosphorescence😂

Seamless video, easy to watch with such a relaxed experienced crew onboard. Looking forward to the next instalment and 50KTS!! Thanks.
thank you guys again for this great video. i really like to be with you all on board of this great trip around the world. Waiting with excitement for your next adventure. Keep safe and have fun.
The music choice is just beautifully on spot. Thx
Video + sound is absolutely superb, one of your best. Once again thank so much.
❤️❤️❤️ your videos. Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic footage, looking forward to the next episode and seeing you all in Auckland, New Zealand
Yes that would be great!
Looking at Great Circle (even with light winds) she simply looks majestic under sail. Cuts through the water like butter. Fair winds and safe passage!
Please give us an idea of the running costs of Sailing Great Circle. Your videos and lifestyle is inspiring and you make it look easy.
In the first couple of years the running costs are pretty low. Insurance is the biggest post, especially when sailing outside Europe. We use just a bit of diesel and are on anchor most of the time. Breakage outside of warranty has been almost zero except for recently the main halyard and the gennaker.
This week's video really pulled me in and set me straight. Who needs a therapist when you have Greatcircle in your life? ( Not me.) 22,600 subscribers, this has got to be UA-cam's best kept secret. Production Value - Par Excellence
Sincerely yours, M&M
Great episode! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe Greatcircle crew!
Your best episode, safe sailing. your video let us join you in your voyage.
What a dream sail the boat is amazing.
Here, it has been snowing for the last 20h - so thx a lot for the colorful breeze. Nice "not a race" with spekend.
Really really nice boat👌🏻
Great job, anticipating more videos about your stay in Cabo Verde.
Excelent, i drink all of your videos. Thanks
Fantastic video thank you for what you guys do
Nice drone work!
Nice episode guys ✌🏻
Great quality photography! Nobody gets tired of watching dolphins at the bow. A sailors best friend. Impressed you can do about 0.75 of the wind speed! Awesome sailing machine. Two requests; can you show more of the places you stop at? Also hold the shots of the instrument screen for a second longer? By the time I try to pause it it is gone, and it takes me a while to read the wind direction and speed! The boat speed is easy to find first. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Regards Murray and Jean
Fantastic sailing fotage! Bravo.
as always, well done, please keep it up .. and i want to know more about those deepest desires!
Seems I don’t have lucifer Morningstar’s gift though 😎
I did this trip in 1993 in an FP Antigua 37 called 'Alchemy'. Love your boats! Design has certainly progressed. Good luck. And may the winds be always at your back side. (As an Irish sailor once said to me) Will u be doing the Pacific? I loved that the best. And Tonga ! Wonderful
Yes, canal planned for March, Tonga somewhere mid 22
Wonderful👍🙂
Absolutely beautiful ship and vids !
Though you have cost me considerably in ITunes music ! Really nice music!
Listening to Spotify playlist catgreatcircle video might be cheaper 😎
Beautifully shot and edited video as always. Still looked like your spinnaker wasn't hoisted all the way to the top - check out the drone footage when it flew directly overhead.
We loosened it a bit after warnings from other boats that they had chafing but our double halyard seemed to be totally fine
Ha its hard to get good crew - Nice
Dank voor het mogen meevaren. af en toe een screenshot waar jullie zijn op je route op dat moment van de reis zou leuk zijn. ( moeilijk voor newbies om af te lezen op jullie navigatiedisplay. super filmwerk!!
Fantastic videography, sorry I know this was 11 months ago.
Glad you still like it…
Show!!
Eu estou sempre navegando com vocês. Abraços.
Muito obrigado!
nice flowwing vid gee looks like the deck hand is slim a trim :)
Yes he is don’t you think?

Thanks.
👍
Another amazing video. You guys make this look easy! Calm in every situation, even when trying to get a huge spinnaker down! Do you enjoy the sailing on a cat as much as a mono hull?
For cruising a cat is much better suited but sailing a monohull on a nice day is also very nice
How many knots per hour do you average at 1200 or 1500 rpm?
One engine 1200 rpm we would normally only use with a sail up. 1500 rpm one engine no sail will give you around 5 to 5,5 knots
@@CatGreatcircle thanks! So, at 1500 rpm you only use 1 liter of diesel per hour on average?
Hey, can you navigate inside the boat ? If one day, i buy one of this, i would love travreling around the world, included in Antarctic to see the iceberg and artic to see the polar bear. If i'm asking if we can navigate inside, it's because it will be too cold from outside.
Sure, why not? Careful with the icebergs though, maybe an explocat 52 would be a better choice?
@@CatGreatcircle Thx.
I'm very curious to know, as a liveaboard couple, do you miss the walk around berth that you had on your Lagoon 52? I know it sounds a small thing, but having to crawl down the bed to get out vs. just getting out on your side seems so inconvenient. Does it bother you? Also, how can you possibly make the bed properly if you have to crawl up to the top, rather than access from the sides. Again, sorry for the anal-retentive questions, but small things over time could grow in annoyance and since you have experienced both, I was curious to hear your experience.
It’s the same as we had on the Lagoon 39. Getting in and out of bed is not an issue, pretty sure we’ll stop sailing before this gets to be an issue.
Making the bed is of course much easier with a walkaround bed
What editing software do you use?
I use pinnacle studio but wouldn’t recommend it
what was it about not filmong the catch?
Not entirely sure :-)
Hahaha svensk humor i sitt essé! Kan bara ge en välförtjänt eloge!
Even Tina thinks that this is one of your strangest comments Filemon…
