I so relate to your soulful words. My wife died two years ago. You two are still alive, there's always hope that at least you can become friend's and maybe play together professionally. Well that's prayers foryou each. Please forgive my heartfelt intrusion. Rodge David Kidderminster UK 🇬🇧 ❤️ xxx
Awesome channel, it’s very brave of you to sit down and share the back story of the songs 👏 especially when they are written from personal experiences. Music is often the only way to express the pain and emotions 🎸 On a personal level, I see my own songs as boxes to pour the emotions and feelings into. It gives me a sense of control over them, so that when I play a song, I’m choosing the box, opening it, dealing with what’s inside and once the song is over, I close the box and put it back on the shelf. Maybe that’s a crazy metaphor. Keep up the great work, it’s awesome that you’ve found other like minded musicians to work together with in the creation of Red Giant 👍
Such a good album so well played, I can hear so many influences in it. The track Why, you saying sounding like an indie track to me it actually reminds me of the band Captain America (Eugenius). The playing it goes without saying is faultless but your vocals also are extremely good As a side note Dave it does stop hurting without trying to sound patronising I’m a fair bit older than your good self, been through some tough emotional times and relationships one very very long term. One day you’ll wake up and think about the person in a less painful way no one knows when that will be though but it does happen. All the best mate
Excellent video, interesting, insightful and incredibly brave to make given the emotional nature of the songs. Hearing your enthusiastic anecdotes and appreciation of John Joe and Carina just takes it to another level. Phenomenal video about a phenomenal album.
I finally got to listen to your debut album. Wise decision to call it just Red Giant, the cover is stellar! The track list was well thought out - I’m an album type of guy, even when it’s not a conceptual album I love to crank the whole thing from start to finish - and it flows effortlessly. The production is top notch. I agree with the songs picked for singles: - Monsters, with a straight rocker riff and hypnotic vocal delivery; - Why, with that beautiful cascading solo, triggers those kind of goosebumps many bands dream to achieve - definitely the Hit here. (The way both your vocals harmonize on these tracks really gives Red Giant a new dimension - wish it would become one of RG’s signatures, who can say it won’t? but it is how it is.) You say I Say could have been easily another single (that solo, wow!, and vocals, that tribal beat under that down-tuned riff reminds of Korn - a bit of nu metal after some classic blues, and why not?) but... - Friends kicks the album so fiercely (Lizzy vibes), couldn’t be surpassed to fit the last spot. However my favorite tracks are what could be called deep cuts or hidden gems: - Tell Me; - Free Me; - What You Gonna Do? (Sick playing! with a simple kind of live mix which compliments the song; the lyrics hit the mark); - Was It All My Fault? There’s not a song I dislike but something has got to come last. Although I love the last part of this track, The Dark of Me remains unsaved, so does Don’t quite unreasonably.
Like all of it, it's a strong album, glad you are so happy with it. Free me my fav so far, even more so hearing you talk about it. We've lived through Why with you, it's great too, and because of that it means more than the song itself. Best wishes
'Was It All My Fault' IMO hands down the best song i've heard from the band so far :) Keep it up!!! Temendous album and cant wait for my vinyl to get here :)
You might want to look at all of your feelings as tears of joy for your success ✅. Time will pass and your feelings will change and you won’t be unhappy about all of this. And hopefully your next album will be cheerful and lighthearted based on unexpected happiness 😊. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵⭐️
Why says it so well. Moving. I get it. A cry from the heart. Means a lot to me this song. A great band effort. Perfect song. Best music I’ve heard since … probably the 70’s when I was an adolescent and discovering so much new stuff. This song was like WOW! Out of the blue. Wham! ❤
For me You Say I Say is incredible - the lyrics and the vocals work perfectly and the music is great as well. Edit: And yes, the last line of the song is an incredible way to end the album. And it's very heart breaking. It's funny you mentioned originally intending to double that bass melody on the guitar, because my producer brain tells me when I hear it that it would be better with that to bring out that melody a bit more. It's such a great melody. Other top 3 at this point - What You Gonna Do because the guitar playing is incredible. And Friends because it's a great rocker. But the great thing about the album is there's no filler. Each track has it's own style and every track is strong. It's a short but very sweet album.
Played the ted vynal twice this morning as i wrote out a new set list, been on my turntable since the record arrived a week ago. The songs have become so personal since July . Very best wishes. Rodge David Kidderminster UK 🇬🇧 ❤️ xxx
Is there any way to get a CD version shipped to Germany? The option to ship to here seems to have gone. By the way i love the album to bits. Probably the best debut in this type of more classic influenced rock music that I've heard in years.
Dave I am trying to order something off your website but it won’t allow me to put in my country. It defaults to the UK every time. Any suggestions? I tried to put Canada and it won’t accept it. Thanks
I think " it's all my faut" sounds more like Weezer esk too me. It really has that factor to it in my opinion. Yes 'Free Me" is a great song. I think Cici's back up vocals made the song epicly haunting in an amazing way.
@@RedGiantOfficial Don’t worry. I know it will get here eventually. I have the patience of a saint and I know you are all doing your best with a load of responsibility. ⭐️💿

Big hugs. I can't imagine how difficult things must be for you navigating that grief minefield
Heartbroken to hear that. I’m so sorry.
You all made a really good album! Thank you for sharing the stories behind the songs!

I honestly can't pick favourite individual tracks from this but definitely my favourite new album of 2024 😊

Just give it time Dave, it will get better slowly, but there will always be a pain there in your soul

Free Me is such a great track! the volume goes up a few notches when the album arrives on that track, whole album is all killer no filler.
Mate this album is absolutely brilliant. Am i right in saying the chorus chords for was it all my fault are F#m, E, D, E and then A, E, F#m?
Amaj, F#min, Dmaj, Emaj
F#min, Emaj, Dmaj
A5, E5, F#5
A5, E5, D5
:)
@RedGiantOfficial beautiful song, mate. This album really deserves a lot more exposure.

Just select europe shipping. :)
Thank you. :)
Dave are you able to ship your cd and merchandise to Canada? I’ve tried and had no success. I thought maybe I was missing something. Thanks
We can and have shipped things to canada yeps. Pick USA shipping. :)
Its not your fault, its not her fault it just wasn't meant to be. God bless you Dave
Dave I am trying to order something off your website but it won’t allow me to put in my country. It defaults to the UK every time. Any suggestions? I tried to put Canada and it won’t accept it. Thanks
Use the USA shipping price. :)
My favourite at the moment are:
Don’t
The Dark of Me
You say I say
Honourable mention to Why because of the meaning behind it
Tell Me is my favorite. I went through a bitter divorce 3 years ago and it reminds me of that.
I think " it's all my faut" sounds more like Weezer esk too me. It really has that factor to it in my opinion. Yes 'Free Me" is a great song. I think Cici's back up vocals made the song epicly haunting in an amazing way.
Anyone in the US got their album yet?
Not yet 📭.
Please be patient. It’ll take some time to get to you. :)

Please make a video showing how to play 'Was it all my fault?' :)
Actually "Free Me" has that Sword/Evinessence feel.
Have you been a good ol boy this year, Mr.Simpson? Santa have you on the naughty list........😊
Slightly unnerved by this comment. Haha. :)
wow 1sst time iv had a No Views video
0:32 - Ted Giant?
Hi 😊👋
I think " it's all my faut" sounds more like Weezer esk too me. It really has that factor to it in my opinion.
