He's likely added 20mg of a 10% solution of Laos Oud, which is 2mg / 1000mg, or 0.20% of the concentrate. This would be a generous amount of oud. To make it more "Oudy" people beef up the concentrate with stuff like kephalis, terpines, musks like cashmeran and fufural, naturals like cypriol heart and gurjun balsam, patchouli alcohols, castoreum etc.
Fantastic, measured review. I must say that I truly enjoy the scent bubble of this fragrance for myself. You capture it’s place in the continuum of oud-centered fragrances but I submit that I enjoy this one irrespective of the compliment factor.

You described this perfume so well,I bought this perfume last year, and coincidentally I have baccarat 540, and all Oud perfumes of Francis , satin, silk, only Oud , not Kashmir , I like Cambodian sweet type, I also like lavender, and saffron, there for Oud for greatness is my favorite, I bought on line, since I reside in USA, I have access to lots of websites, I love your channel and you have a great sense of smell, I will meet up with you in India some day to learn few things, I have fairly good collection, and Francis kurkdjian is my favorite.

@@alexandergomes3317 No it has not been reformulated as it does not have oakmoss.Only the fragrances that had oakmoss that have been reformulated in 2015.Therefore all the Legendary fragrances have been killed.Also Ajmal Dehnal oud HAYATI is very long lasting a similar but lighter version of this with a bit different note pleasure for senses with its earthy notes balsamic and refined.An another fine fragrance with Ajmal oud DNA.Just half the price15 dollars for 10 ml Attar concentrate oil based.
In the name it’s great , Initio’s are generally opulent safe scents . On a good price it’s ok . A better name for this perfume would have been Oud For Safeness ...🙏🙏🙏... Once again an amazing video 🙏🙏🙏
Very objective review! I don't quite remember this one (bottle is nice though). However I equate niche with some creativity and I think i gave a pass on this one because of that. I thought ethyl maltol was one of the main components of the candy floss in BR540. I've detected white musk in soaps but it was always the soapy type.
if you want to name top 5 of you economic choices for men, what would that be. i live in iran and we are heavy perfume users, but unfortunately because of $ exchange rate (which becomes 5 times more than the rate it was a year ago) it gets really hard to buy perfume like Amouage or etat libre de orange or atkinson and etc....even for a cheap bulgari you have to pay 25% of your monthly income. so our choice become really limited. could you pls introduce some economical choices?
london oud: greenish, candy like, mellow, soft, oud is not imposing very soft. carnal like oud, the feeling you get is like seeing raw meat, or raw sushi not the smells, its "mouthwatering" strange i know, elegant, but not loud and hardly any presence to be a useful perfume, you know, one worthy of making any statement with handsome attire. it be like wearing a suit or elegant wear but a wimper of a scent. no one would even notice. sadly many of the fragrance du bois seem that way. way too mute. still elegant. lasts only 4 hours no special drydown, linear fades to super soft oud base. elegant but not glamorous. side note all their supposed top shelf are similar to other stuff out there. sad i know. i got the samples at luckyscentdotcom

@@veeral01 there’s no real Oud in that crap. It’s all accords. 99% of all “oud” perfumes sold to the masses contain fake ouds or lab grown Oud. It’s been a while, I am much more educated. Fecal smelling Oud is cheap garbage Oud. I’ve found beautiful Oud in Areej Le Dore, Ensar Oud and Bortnikoff.

greatest oud perfume is oud itself, lol but really, it is only able to be done under a bespoke consultation with a perfume artist. try going to saudi or roja dove or creed for bespoke. with the artist you can also make sure the materials will be pure from source with their fullspectrum molecules. the designer will match your desire with their artistic comission.

One of the first time I disagree with you. I agree that this is not a great oud perfume, its for the masses. However, I do think its unique and not much other scents around like this. I get compliments almost every time I were this.
Before you said that you’re planning to buy a bottle of Oud for Greatness, I really respected your opinion and pretty much everything you said before , in other reviews. But this scent and for me ... everything else from this house... is almost good enough to scent shoes or maybe the guest bathroom... This has nothing to do with your so loved artisanal stuff ... most of there stuff isn’t event what I consider to be niche. I am really wondering what made you praise this juice!

I’m I the only one that dislikes this perfume? Headache inducing! Had to scrub it off my skin! Was disappointed because I love most ouds. To be honest, I have tried about 6 of their fragrances and haven’t cared for any. Way too sweet!

No to commercial, i experience wasting money there. They'll fool you and replace that with synthetic chemist designed version of oud.

Very socially acceptable, Except the price point
You can use Bade Al oud/ Oud for Glory from house of lattafa its 95% similar......So why spend so much on a perfume just for INITIO BOTTLE.......

you can just get a clone from Al Bait Al Dimashqi Perfumes, price isn't cheap but its way lesser than Initio
I doubt there is any actually oud in this. Pure synthetic... if you want to smell actual Oud then Ensar oud, Areej le Dore, Dixit & Zak, Sultan Pasha.
