“The fella we’re felling today is this fella” my brain just exploded. My Highland blood pressure elevated a bit but that might be the most well-crafted most Irish phrase I’ve ever heard
Beautiful beams of oak there lad, shame about the use of them. Nice to see a proper start to a project for a change from someone, I mean nothing wrong with buying timber cut ready but so much more meaning felling the tree yourselves. Good graft 👍🏻
I've been involved in this sort of thing enough to smell the chain saw running even though I'm far, far, away. I've never seen a 12"x12" beam. That's pretty spectacular to me.
I thought it would be only ethical to inform you that I'm going to be using your videos as an immersive tool for helping me with my Irish accent for roleplaying my D&D character on my Wednesday night game.
Lad you and your mate are handy with axe and chainsaw. You fell the oak smoothly. I am impressed by cooperation between you and the elderly gentleman. Continue on building and creating lovely pieces furniture.👊👍
Family heirlooms or purchased? Either way, I’m sure it’s some beautiful, practical, and functional stuff that you or anybody else would be really happy with.
Ladies and gentlemen that chainsaw the old chap was running is no joke. Thats the biggest engine husky makes for their saws. Its 120cc engine. Those will wear you out just running.
went to Dublin to see my half cousin quite a while back, stayed there for 3 days. we went to tato land and i had the massive spiral crisp on the stick and it was lovely, anyways very nice video. i thankfully have the attention span longer than a tiktok user so I find these vids very soothing
I remember doing this with my dad, 25/28 years ago, I was doing the wrench while he was cutting, and then carrying the wood back on the tractor to bring it home and chop
I’ve thoroughly self educated myself on organic chemistry, electromagnetism, all with the vast free information on the Internet, there’s free college courses, massive PDF files with in depth but easy to learn curriculum, I honestly learn better just reading the raw definition/function/example of something and going into every tiny detail rather than a course designed to teach, i’m currently learning how to forge metal all from a PDF I downloaded, 178mb of fantastic material, built my first blast furnace with an old propane tank. All hand tools btw! Keeping it alive.
I’m about to 3d print something I’ve been designing for a while on paper never used a 3d printer before, I’ve done 3d modeling but I’m not great. The plan is to then electroplate copper onto the component, use it to make a mould in sand, introduce smelted material and get to work on my first engineering product.
I'm going to be back down in Cork for the first time in at least 10 years now, what part are you from? I'm down in the west by skibbarine if you know where that is
Cool. I have a GIANT ash tree, in Utah... this is odd enough but the neighbor has the "female" tree. It's so close to the house. If I ever cut it down, we'd have to get a potable saw mill or something. It would be a waist to just chop it all up!
Do your co-workers ever get annoyed at you for filming instead of working? I’m curious. If a co-worker of mine was filming and not working, his phone would be put up his bum.😂

“Now this fella is already long dead”
"this fellas been dead for a while now" feel like he was talking about my soul lmao
That's from "Portrait of the Arborist as a Young Man," if I'm not mistaken.

I love your content! I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 still very novice with my wood working, mostly benches, tables, stools and so on. Learning from what you put up!
Canadian brother!!!!!
Happy Canada Day!
Is it wrong that I half expected him to use a hand saw... 🤷🏻♀️😂 I watch my husband cut trees all day. Still fascinates me.

Your attitude and energy is inspiring to me. Keep doing real work, man! Good stuff

I don’t think he minds!
Love the careful use of chainsaw, wedges and Tirfor to get that big old Oak dropped nicely. Grand.

I'm glad I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago. Great stuff
Nice job!! Only tips I would say would probably be is to sharpen the chain and maybe a wider face cut for less of a chance of barber chair
I thought they needed a deeper bed cut too. Could have eliminated the winch.
Fine furniture indeed! Every single piece of furniture in my house is made of oak, over 100 years old and still going strong.

Can we just take a minute to congratulate the husq for getting through that deadly looking oak, great craic lads, keep it up
Husky doesn’t get enough credit if you ask me. Everyone wants a Stihl in the PNW maybe that’s a global preference 🤷♂️
I like my husky
Beautiful wood you guys deal with very nice job each one of you guys!
Love you channel 👍And your other channel G man boxing channel 🥊, good luck God bless all 🌞
Always nice seeing what you are doing

I would love to turn those 12x12's into some flooring for my studio. It would last for generations.
Absolutely lovely
Good job on the hinge cut
Love the content! Gotta do the things you love and passionate for right? Really inspirational. Keep it up >u
Thank you for your video's. I know I enjoy them. What are you going to use the beams out of that oak for?
I remember doing this with my dad, 25/28 years ago, I was doing the wrench while he was cutting, and then carrying the wood back on the tractor to bring it home and chop
Oh yes love your videos lad
Is it an apprenticeship you have? Just found out you have only been at it for 2 years which is seriously impressive

Hello from the states
Nice tree!
Isn’t it just
That was fun - thanks.
Very satisfying
Oh my god those logs at the end are fucking beautiful

2:30 Thats the same axe I have, cost me a 10er down in Lidl 😂
Hey man I just got in an old Stanley plane 9 1/4. Any advise on restoring it?
Damn that’s gonna be some canapé
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Eoin, I'm just wondering do you want the rest of that oak in Monkstown?
I think we need an audience poll of Stihl vs Husqvarna!
Both companies make good saws. I have a little old Homelite that's really nice, too.
Poulan. Lol. Stihl 100%
I’m pretty sure I got poison ivy just watching you guys rip that shit down
Your dog is beautiful, wow.
So is that chainsaw! Lol

Indeed indeed, Ash is the king.
How are you guys just grabbing the ivy with your hands ? Doesnt that mess you up later ?
Its probably english ivy, not poison ivy. Eoin can confirm.
HIGHLAND GAMESSSSS!!!!
We need more videos
I HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU. Make a chair (or anything) WITH ONLY one single chisel.
Luvely jovely
Haven't seen misty before
Does anyone know the name of his hat style? I want one!
Hi!
A garden feature?? Who's paying what must be close to a couple thousand quid to just plant those beams in his garden?
Do your co-workers ever get annoyed at you for filming instead of working? I’m curious. If a co-worker of mine was filming and not working, his phone would be put up his bum.😂
Will you make a shillelagh
One of my dogs names is also Misti, she was very confused to hear her name from the video. 😂🤍
