I'd say you should make sure you can keep what you have. Strengthen your fleet, lick your wounds, and then attack again. I think it's very Klingon to strike back harder in retaliation for honor, rather than to keep on fighting when defeat is certain.
Well you asked about tactical thing I think you did right because otherwise they would build up their fleet and your victory would have been destructive or even defeat and now their fleet is weaker too . Sacrifice for a greate victory is sometimes right.(in games) But now you have to hold your progress because otherwise that devastating victory is for nothing.
Definitely a good move taking that fed planet in the end, rebuilding your fleet should be no problem if that's your #1 focus for a little bit. Then you should also bring in a secondary fleet again, along with a smaller fast fleet that could be used for quick defence or fast attack. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT VID!!!! Maybe you could also do a short spotlight on the whole game when it is released. I would very much like to see some borg in action.
I think you should rebuild about 50 ships, but make sure you research everything you can for mining. get enough ressources. get repair stations as fast as possible on your new system. but *don't* attack the feds at their homeworld. get some of the side systems. remove their ressources and defend them from the romulans which might also attack. Basicaly, make sure you defend your position and conquer all the side systems. rebuild your fleet as much as possible. then, build a titan, send it straight to the fed homeworld, take the side-systems and defend your left flank. don't do anything disasterously dangerous. and scout with the Brels. Don't put everything into the federation otherwise the Roms will come and kick you in the butt. Ep 5 should just be a basic rebuild, defend and minor conquest for the final push against both the Feds and the Romulans. if you have enough ressources, you should be able to kill both with one stone. or in this case, fleet. anyway, great job. love to see what you do for the next ep.
I'm waiting for him to look at the Defiant Corvette's stats and notice that they're near-worthless. Overall around 40 combined damage. THE Defiant captained by Sisko, on the other hand, is amazing.
I used to play Armada 2... Wouldn't building several of the commando-transporting cruisers be helpful, they fight plus they'll capture more enemy ships for you. Also you seem to frequently send burning capital ships into combat and lose them fast, wouldn't separating out the capital ships that are close to death to let them recover be better than sending them to immediately die in the next attack? They don't help you much if they die immediately so their firepower wasn't helpful in the attack, and being able to send them in later at least partially fixed as reinforcements would be better than outright losing them. Maybe establish a repair yard as close to the front as possible to send the crippled capital ships back to. ~shrugs~
I think I might be wrong, but the Fehk'lir are supposed to be the Klingon version of demons. They appear in STO and in one of the TV series. So yeah, Klingon demons.
I think it would be prudent to double up the amount of shipyards you have in a couple of grav wells since you seem to stack up your construction orders in a single grav well and it slows down the number of ships you field making your responses slower.
I think a Titan would serve you well if nothing else then a tank ship and if everything goes to heck then you can blow it up and take everyone else out with you. To die in Battle is glorious especially if you take out everyone else with you.
I think the Reman Scimitar ( Romulan Titan ) Is slightly OP i played a Game as Romulans yesterday and the Things that it can do / Raze Planets that are Capitals and Stuff or Reposses which just gives you the Enemy Planet - Capitals and Artifact Planets
Tbh the feds lost the Titian, you should of rebuilt your fleet...if that wasn't there main fleet..well then sir your screwed lol. Love your vids dude keep up the good work
I uploaded a video of me destroying a Scimitar, and I have to say I was disappointed by the explosion animation. The other ships in the Romulan fleet have a cool animation that is consistent with the idea that they are powered by an artificial quantum singularity. Overall I love this mod and can see myself putting way to many hours into this game.
Not all death animations are finished yet. They are still adding the custom wrecks to the game. Keep in mind still beta. Some features are still in the works.
I fucking love these series. Both this, and the others of STA 3. I finally have a system that isn't WILDLY obsolete, so I'm looking forward to playing this game. :-D And I'm sure it's been brilliantly balanced since you were playing this beta. :-)
Regroup and repair, but hold the federation fleet on that front. push tne romulans back and use the wormhole to kick the federation in the ass, turn around and curbstomp the romulans. Thats what I would do.
I love your star trek armada 3 series, it's so good, i wanna play with this game but i thin my computer isn't strong enought to play with this game (sins of solar empire). :(
about 37:50 or so when you scrolled over the fleet in the small moon planet thing....did i see a romulan scout? I cant say if it was a good tactical decision because i would have waited personally...but i play defensively =\ By the way a bug i found: the non-bomber mini-fighters dont have sound files, that was the stock sin sound.
Hey if i have a version of the mod and a new one comes out, how do i update? Do i go through the same process by which i originally got the mod put in the game?
At first I thought you were trolling. Until I realized that if you set the map to be flat, make the background black and starry, and replace units with ships, it could actually work. It would be interesting, to see an RTS and first-person combo in the Star Trek universe. Maybe an admiral commanding his fleet? Although absolute conquest seems like something the Federation wouldn't take part in, so maybe Federation could be a non-playable faction?
John Askins well remember star wars conquest they had a space map for that and for a back story I'm not too sure I was thinking maybe some sort of big war between The Klingons, The Romulans, The Federation, and The Dominion.
Warton567 I understand, Warton. But remember, in Mount and Blade the objective is total domination. The game doesn't end until you eliminate all other enemy factions. So why would the Federation be interested in total conquest, or the total annihilation of their enemies? It's not like the Federation to act like that, what's all I'm saying. I think the Romulan Empire, the Klingon Empire, and the Dominion might do something like that. They're into the whole total domination thing. But not the Federation.
Ok, I'm confused. in the series, the IKS Bortas was Gowron's flagship, but youre saying you havent used him yet. but at 30:31 in the video, I see a capital ship, the IKS Bortas, which youve been using for some time, blow up....so what the heck?
joe gunner makes sense, I guess. Its not like the Bortas did much in the show anyway; except get hammered by a pair of K'vort-class Battlecrusiers. yeah, I think Id find a new ship too If I were in Gowron's place....
I really enjoy seeing a solid static defense do it's thing so watching that romulan fleet get wrecked against your defense platforms was a joy
Oh I'm so addicted to this series!
I'd say you should make sure you can keep what you have. Strengthen your fleet, lick your wounds, and then attack again. I think it's very Klingon to strike back harder in retaliation for honor, rather than to keep on fighting when defeat is certain.
Great series, please keep playing SINS in general!

shack the roms came from the wormhole because i was paying attention
those romulans trying to get the planet back after that asswoop from the federation at 14:41
That moment you see Kurn taking on like, 20 Steamrunners.
"Kuuuuuuurn!"
- Captain Shack

Leroy Jenkins'ing the Federation minefield was probably one of your biggest mistakes.
I used to play Armada 2...

i think you should hold of on the assault until you can reinforce your fleet with some capital ships and support ships :)
Reinforce the crap out of that Fed planet and get back to controlling the wormhole. It will give you the best front into both Fed and Rom fronts.
This was a great klingon victory kapla
I think it would be prudent to double up the amount of shipyards you have in a couple of grav wells since you seem to stack up your construction orders in a single grav well and it slows down the number of ships you field making your responses slower.

The one you said looked funny and awkward also resembles a hammerhead shark.
Apparently the Excelsior you have isn't a Lakota Refit, because it doesn't have the big bulky pieces on the end of the secondary hull.
More STA3 please, preferably more of this.

They should add a ship class named K'tang, in your honor.
Kurn died while running away from the enemy. That is not a warrior's death. His family will bear the dishonor for generations.

TheXPGamers Yeah I realized that once I saw the Excalibur's animation. Even if they didn't change it, The mod looks amazing.
I fucking love these series. Both this, and the others of STA 3. I finally have a system that isn't WILDLY obsolete, so I'm looking forward to playing this game. :-D And I'm sure it's been brilliantly balanced since you were playing this beta. :-)
really enjoying the videos man, keep it up :)

The enemy surrounds us, we have them right where we want them. PICK A DIRECTION AND FIRE!
That is not the lakota refit. The fins are up on the saucer. Also, the bottom portion of the hull will be thicker.
Oh my favorite race. That beginning was pretty painful for me to watch.
***** About as well as it can go. Although between you and me, I'm a bit on the fence.
Park your New Capital ships near the pirates, and level them Up^ You just made 2 big hits, I'd recommend turtleing a bit at this moment.
I love your star trek armada 3 series, it's so good, i wanna play with this game but i thin my computer isn't strong enought to play with this game (sins of solar empire). :(

Which ships remove mines? Especially for the Fed. I can't find it anywhere...
They should add the Gorn as a playable race.
What do you think.
What if the replaced the current Klingon Titan with one of those monster Klingon Carriers from STO ? let it carry 2 or 3 Brells instead of fighters
Hey if i have a version of the mod and a new one comes out, how do i update? Do i go through the same process by which i originally got the mod put in the game?
Yes works the same way as you originally installed the mod.
that romulan titan is from last star trek movie nemesis if im correct
how you can tell if it's an excelsior or a refit is the engines. 2 engines for regular
HAPPY NEW YEAR for all of you out there (who i dont know) 2014 YAY
I'd love to see a star trek mod for mount and blade warband.
At first I thought you were trolling. Until I realized that if you set the map to be flat, make the background black and starry, and replace units with ships, it could actually work. Now this is an intriguing idea. The Star Wars Conquest mod does have working dog fights.
John Askins well remember star wars conquest they had a space map for that and for a back story I'm not too sure I was thinking maybe some sort of big war between The Klingons, The Romulans, The Federation, and The Dominion.

Klingons appreciate strong woman
is the scimitar the romulan titan
I'm new to modding how do you mod this to sins.
Ok, I'm confused. in the series, the IKS Bortas was Gowron's flagship, but youre saying you havent used him yet. but at 30:31 in the video, I see a capital ship, the IKS Bortas, which youve been using for some time, blow up....so what the heck?
the names are random. theres a textfile with some names and every time you build a capital ship, the game will choose one of the names randomly.
joe gunner makes sense, I guess. Its not like the Bortas did much in the show anyway; except get hammered by a pair of K'vort-class Battlecrusiers. yeah, I think Id find a new ship too If I were in Gowron's place....
TheRedshirt93 i would choose a vorcha or a negh'var...love this ships
Negh'var FTW
another please
One o f the Klingon voices when you click on them seems to say "MEV!" in a female voice.. It keeps catching me off guard. i wonder what it means?
She is saying move, but its distorted by the large teeth they have when they scream.
What,no Vulcans????!!!!
