Container Carrying Arms, Other Illicit Goods Worth 13.9 Billion Naira Seized In Rivers State

Customs operatives intercepted nine containers, carrying offensive items worth 13.9 billion naira. The seized items include arms, ammunition, illicit drugs, and second-hand clothes.
Speaking on the seized items at Onne Port in Rivers State, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi noted that one of the containers, which originated from Turkey, raised suspicions, due to the number of risk factors associated with the importation.
