I appreciate this video because it shows how much easier it is to make mistakes when you are fatigued. It seems more real than some of the pro videos. They are more practiced at cleaning the camera lens. Great job, and terrific race.
Amazing, man! This was REAL. You killed it. This is so instructive. It shows how much speed is your friend (and the opposite your enemy) on those boulder strewn upper slopes. Line choice is important every step of the way. Fatigue is real. Psychology overcomes physiology in the bottom third when muscles are burning. Fun can be a savior. And just going for it overcomes logic. What a great run. You have the strength and ability. Now you know. Next time will be even better.
I'm no pro or even good at mountain biking so take this for what its worth... but I've seen quite a few videos from Killian and Damien etc... those guys are not too far ahead of you in pure skill and talent in my opinion. You are almost there! With some high quality training and technique mastering you are right there with them. In fact I would put you in the same room as them. If you haven't already.. I would say find a way to connect with them and just be around them. (if you aren't already) I think with this performance you proved yourself as a capable rider with a lot of talent and bright future. You already know what you need to do. NOW GO DO IT! Great work man and I can't wait to watch your progress!
In the mud, even with the fall and technical problems, still an excellent downhiller. Work on the physical condition for climbing and next year it's TOP 10.
Holy moly, that's what I call "Hardcore Downhill " 💪👊🍺 I'm apparently your newest SUBSCRIBER 🍓🇩🇰 I do hope for more videos like this one.. - It could be 👌if there also was some "Attitude / Height" on map. ✊ ✌ 🍺
you need a drop post, could use to learn some breathing tips at high elevations, you'll get a lot of smoothness once you can drop your post but, yeah, some smoothness will help you a lot. maybe some PT on your upper body. otherwize, you're a strong MF, nice run...
@@dirttdude I have a dropper post! Unfortunately I do not have the time to do elevation training. Have you seen other video's of people doing this race? I don't think a lot of people are breathing very relaxt. It's tough, hard pedalling and working the bike.
@@ErikPruijssen amazing for the 1st time got no 17 and finish the amazing race ..it's not about wining it's more then about enjoy experience the race ... beautiful place..what country it's megavalanche race??
Not getting stuck behind a rider in front of me was the main idea, but went a little too far to the right. But definitely agree not the most optimal strategy.
@@ErikPruijssen I watch quite few videos of thoses races. And yes, it's true that some speak a few words in french. But the french riders also understand most of the time the few words in english. Dude you were so pissed then had so much fun. The screams of that guy in agony was awful. Loved this amateur run. Thanks for sharing! Will follow
This really shows how hard it is: almost as exhausted as you by the end of it: just watching. great effort.😀

@@benjaminlacy7692 thank you so much for this comment. I have been training a lot after this try. We'll see what that will do next year!
That's what me & my hubby were saying, solid rider for sure!
Unbelievable dude, this vídeo was amazing. I've never seen a megavalanche video like this. From Brazil here.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks, loved it!
Funny to see myself ride, i am the Guy in fluo yellow 😂 number 1218. Need to step up my flow on the trail😂! Good race👌
AHHH, next year we'll be quicker!
Props buddy
I read that comment in exactly moment you are pushing your bike. Good race.
Really nice job of closing those gaps and passing once clear of riders. Respect!
Thanks! 👍
That was a most enjoyable video and I admire your skill, determination and pure bloody mindedness. Subscribed and look forward to you racing again.
thanks man, great ride in tough conditions, that mud looked so slick, well done

Always nice to see a different view than the pros. He started way too far behind and was slowed down behind by some crashes.

great race, lots of adrenaline
Excellent race, incredible the effort and strength that you have... it would be incredible if you could put a camera that was watching behind you.
Bravo ! You are fit, incredible. Next year, try with the pros. 👍
Amazing run wow, Sucks for the mud and stuff hope that one racer in the end is ok x,..,x, what a rush :D
Yeah, I found the racer in the end. He was sort of okay!

Can't say, but there was help close by usually!

Ploertige video hoor
stop falling off and clean your camera

Learn some French if you go again.
Over half of the contestants are not french, to me it seems like a logical choice to speak english as I have no idea what language they speak.
