I have this for my left arm and chest. It really helps. I would recommend it - if- your therapist or doctor recommends it. And follow all directions and if any questions then ask!! I’m on Medicaid and it paid for it for me. I’m so glad I tried it!!
I got my unit and it cost about $1,000 new. However, shortly afterwards I had to have bowel surgery and I developed symptoms about like having irritable bowel syndrome. When I have to go, I have very little time to fool about in trying to get out oof such a suit setup. I didn't want to ruin the thing by having a diarrhea accident when encased in the thing. It would be like trying to get off a Hazmat suit when in a house fire. I ended up not using it with less than 4 times of use. Can't complain that is didn't do the job effectively, but just saying it remains a difficult suit to get out of and you better have all the room to put the machinery on, as there is a big amount of hoses and the machine itself to contend with. It is heavy and cumbersome when all put together.

But it is a punishment for people who have had multiple neck, back, abdominal, and leg surgeries that wreaked havoc on their lymphedema system. I'm living proof of that particular life right now. Today was my demonstration of the Flexitouch. Hopefully my insurance will pay for it and I can get my non-cancerous lymphedema under control. I currently have lymphedema massages at the local cancer treatment center. They help but this machine would be great addition to get this nightmare condition tamed.
@@vlugovsky it may not be the same effect as this device though. The Amazon link- with those devices I can see that athletes may use this as a massage machine, and don't know how much the pressure it applies to simulate it to a therapeutic level.

Usually through an associate from Tactile medical but must be cleared by Lymphedema Therapist and doctor (primary, cardiologist), it's a medical device so insurance can cover it but has to be justified to be used. It is medical device and important to understand it's not just a device you can just buy. It is to be similar to manual lymph drainage techniques to help drain and back to the circulatory system and good side effect is to pee it out. Reach out to Tactile Medical and talk to your doctor about lymphedema or CVI. ALWAYS go through your medical doctor about your concerns.
Why not just drain the access fluid by other means, pretty sure that would work better and quickly rather than to squeeze your leg or foot by constriction by way of this method....
I was just quoted estimated prices. If my insurance company covers 50% of it, my portion is $3200.00. If insurance doesn't cover it, the cost is approx. $7400.00. This company offers payment plans, interest free. I'm still waiting to see what my insurance company will cover. Fingers crossed!

It's extremely difficult to get on and off - especially if you're retaining fluid - and doesn't help as much as the LymphaPress.

This machine does help, I have had my a week. I have stage 2 Lipedema and have been suffer with swelling and pain.

This problem is a lifetime punishment for cancer patients.
I have it and never had cancer or cancer treatments. Sometimes it can be genetic.
