This happened to me, guy in church said he was "called" had just become a new minister, he had dated other women in the church prior to becoming a pastor, only 1 I knew of but I'm not into folks personal business like that. I do believe he used a "calling" to cover up his behavior so that people who knew him previously would think he was this changed person but the truth ALWAYS prevails. I do believe a person can change well, when your gut tells you it's not right, truly believe it's not right. He married another woman from another church 10 mos later. Supposedly she's a minister but when I saw her FB page, she seems grandiose just like him. I know God protected me from not allowing our situation to not turn into marriage and he knew I had began to figure him out so he had to make a quick discard. He displayed rage at the church by breaking some doors, being nasty to people. He tried to isolate me from my family, friends, etc but I would not go for it. He's told so many lies, hurt so many people, the best thing for him to do was to leave.
I met my narc at church. I was told he wanted a godly wife and at first he loved my values but then the mask came off and he started to push drugs and sex on me, and when I put my boundaries in place he rolled right through them. And then the hatred he had for everyone and unchecked, unprovoked rage and violence made it pretty clear he didn’t care about God. I was blind and naive.
My husband prides himself on knowing the Bible, but doesn't have no fruit of it in his life. We started going to a new church and after membership class my husband goes behind the pastors back telling people they don't need to do what the church teaches. That the class was more for "you people" them him because he knows more than anyone there. We're are separated now but he still gose to his church and argues with them and says they are all shady people.

Also, its not hard for me to accept this concept because the behavior of my wife seems to validate it. Even though I have had my struggles with trusting God I try not to put my own selfish ambitions before His perfect will for my life. But my wife on the other hand, has chosen (one too many times)to only follow what makes her feel good at all costs; even if it means hurting and neglecting me and our children. So, actions like those makes me strongly agree with what's been said in this video.

A red flag I ignored from the beginning was his regular comments about me going to see " my bible thumper friends." Well, at least they don't steal, cheat, or lie to me and can hold down a job. Also, if I really needed them, they wouldn't bail on me.
This makes so much sense....Corinthians says God is love and those who abide in love abide in God and God abide in them. The narcissists attitude is the opposite of this teaching.

Until then, I load at UPS. Why? Becuz I want to hangout with boxes and wave to people with a big smile. I need to process this all. It’s a lot to take in due to my circumstances. If you with one and nothing horrible happened. Just RUN. Unless you want a horrible life. If you know what they are then you must understand two can tango. I think it’s great you used the bible to illustrate narcissism. It reminds me of the time I was part of a a church where the assistant pastor was a narcissist. He was revered by people in the congregation. One time he introduced his sermon by saying, “we are going to gather round my word tonight.” He would lie, manipulate people for his own advantage. He excommunicated a woman who questioned the fact he preached the bible out of context. Thankfully he isn’t in ministry anymore.

His fear of God and love for Church made me attracted to him, I cried when he said he was recently divorced and I just wanted to fill the void and couldn't understand how anyone wouldn't want to be with this "kind noble man" .waaah.. 18years later , I was in for rude shock before my awakening that only happened in 2020
I don't know if it just this case, but my Nex was fascinated by evil in a scary way. A friend of mine confirmed that he used the Ouija board in his past and I saw the evil and scary fascination glaring up in his eyes when he watched a music video where the singer turnen into a demon like creature and k*lled everyone. This was the first time I was really concerned. What's weird is that he knew I am a Christian and whenever I forgot to thank God for the food before meal, he reminded me to thank the Lord. When I met him and we only knew each other a few weeks, he seemed really interested in learning how to be a good person, I wonder if the hidden fragile part in him wanted to know or if this wasn't genuine at all 🤷🏻♀️ doesn't matter anyway, went hard NC a few months ago.
I once knew a narcissist who had the entire Bible memorized and used scripture (mostly the old testament) to excuse his abuse. He worshipped himself and his own opinions.😈😬

I actually disagree on the authority part, I think it's being misinterpreted here. Narcissists actually respect and, more importantly, admire authority. For example, in the workplace, narcissists usually appear great to their manager but horrible to everyone else.
They don’t honour authority, they loathe it & want it because of the Power it holds. Also there is a difference between Power & Authority. Power can be grabbed but pure Authority is God’s gift. For example a man’s authority over his household is a beautiful thing meant for Protect his wife. Put Narcs in place of Authority & watch them corrupt the gift & abuse the POWER that that authority holds, like dictators. Narcissists are not dumb, they know the Power Authority holds.
Narcissists do not believe in God. This is technically true but true faith is Narcissistic in mentality. Faith is expressed deeper and more active when someone is Narcissistic. God can be considered Narcissistic as to His glory and deservingly expects worship. The positive effect of Narcissistic behaviour is potential and ability. The negative of Narcissistic behaviour is not caring about others. We can either look at the glass as half empty or half full. Spirituality is God for us and us for God. The Holy Spirit causes one to be positively Narcissistic.

I can speak in tongues but in the form of imitation of pastors and bishops speaking them. I do not strive to speak in tongues because the fruits and development of the Spiritual gifts are way more important.
Speaking in toungs, is also perfect prayer! You just talk give voice and Yahweh gives you the word's! That's all it is! One Day I was praying for a woman, Yahweh gave me the word's! Thru Jesus Christ our Lord! After I was done, she said, I want to be able to pray as you do! There is a diverence! Do you want to have the power, or do you want to do good things for the Lord, for the only true God Yahweh, do it in Love! She never listend what Yahweh wanted her to know, she only wanted power!
