I am back, important information: I am trying more editing, i recorded an hour of raw footage for this and cut out half of it, this should result in more action in the episodes, less downtime between important things and overall a hopefully more enjoyable experience watching. Because this is new I will be adjusting how much cutting or how i cut and add things in so let me know if its too much for you or not:). Also DB and game details are in the description!

That was a super exciting first episode. Tense encounter at Opiuchi. I like the style, but one thing I would like to see would be a little bit more discussion of doctrine and ship/ground force design. It doesn't have to be a full rundown (which can get boring/repetitive), but some explanation would perhaps be nice. Since you are editing these, you could maybe edit in a screenshot in post-production where relevant, so you won't have to think about it when recording the episode. I know that we can also pause when you are in fleet mode and select the ships, but then we are dependent on you selecting all the ship and have to sit ready for the specific one's we are interested in. Just a thought :)
Im late to the party, and even missed that 2 2 and 2.3 were released. Lol. Your updated format of video presentation with the cuts is great, and appreciated.
I loved your content in the past. But I really think that editing is going to take the content to a great place. I really look forward to seeing how your style develops in the future!
Just a heads up Ark modules seem to be broken currently and I'll be interested to see if raiders turn up in your game as they have yet to in mine even after exploring twice the systems needed. Glad your back :) first thing I did after seeing the new update was start checking your channel regularly.
Welcome back! Would Sirius A II-3 be a better colony instead of A II? Smaller with same CC, so you could get it terraformed faster and the moon also has minerals of it's own which the planet doesn't.
Yeah, that was my thinking. And once it is up and running and stable you can slowly terraform A II and the pop can move over from the moon as and when they like. May get you a nice little income if they trade between themselves.
Oooo nice. Can they be made more LG friendly with the changes? Just have the idea of a Belters race that you move onto good orbiting roids to free up automines for comets.
@@S810_Jr I believe so, if i modify them to handle lower gravity better, we can then populate asteroid belts with these people. am sure that wont cause any problems...
can anyone explain to me the reason for the research rate, Terraforming, Survey Speed are all 25% of normal. Also, does that mean it is 25% slower or 75% slower? I'm really really new to Aurora so I'm missing some background info it feals.
I play with research rate at 20% (80% slower) so I have to rely on lower techs for longer and don't have new tech researched before even one unit at the last tech level is produced. Slowing a bunch of things would just slow the game overall without much flavor difference IMO I think those settings modify the rates for all civilizations in the game and there might be others that do it per civ

Great video! I think the editing is a really nice touch. Fun to watch the missiles reach their target.

Is this more of a game with actual AI opponents or rather a roleplaying tool?
both, there are hostile alien forces controlled by AI that i have to contend with, see the latest video for that.
is there Linux version?
