Buff and Fellow Eco Coconut Container Cabins in George, Western Cape, SA. Can you imagine living in a modern home inspired by a coconut fruit in a bird’s nest? Not need to imagine, in this video we find out how boxy, old shipping containers were transformed into modern, eco- friendly Coconut inspired Cabins by Innovative Modular Concepts in George, Western Cape, South Africa. The cabins are strategically located on a buffalo farm, at the edge of a beautiful dam overlooking the majestic Outeniqua Mountains. The core structure of each pod comprises of 4 containers modules stacked to form a two story cabin. The stack of containers is encircled with timber screen resembling a coconut pod. The enclosed space around the containers serves as an outdoor living space on both stories. The containers are painted black to make them recede to reveal the coconut shell on the outside. The entire structure is elevated above a foundation plinth which extends to the deck with wood-fired Jacuzzi to take advantage of the panoramic views of the property.

Nice interior, but far too many chairs that take away the space. Those spiral stairs look like a health hazard. You know someone is going to fall badly sooner or later. I don't understand the exterior coconut theme, other than that, very nice.
