Just here to drop a little science. Salt water pools still use chlorine for sanitation. The difference is rather than adding chlorine directly to tge pool salt is added and chlorine generators change the salt into chlorine. They are cheaper to operate than straight chlorine pools which is why you see them more often now. Plus many people think they are "gentler" than chlorine pools so markets have promoted that myth.
