I really believe that Conan Exiles should add a half-height wall you can build up on as well. Mostly because, 1 wall height is so short you barely have any head room but 2 walls tall is a bit too much. A lot of building mods have half-walls and shallow rooves that only go up half a normal wall height. If the base game added in these types of walls/rooves then I am willing to bet builds will look a LOT better.
You should do a video about building tricks like the stair/pillars one, first time I've seen that lol and I'm sure there's more. Or a castle building basics for dummy's tutorial lol Amazing build man, I usually just build a square 5x5 and fit as much stuff as possible inside there lol so watching these vids helps out
Just added a modified version of this build to my current project, a medieval city. I gutted the interior and added a patio in the back and now it’s a workshop with furnaces glowing red hot on the patio. 😎👍🏼
I am physically having a stroke since no matter what I try the fence foundations refuse to clip through the pillers and refuse to be on the same hight as the ceiling tiles. I have had luck with placing them below the ceiling tiles by going slightly under the max height but then nothing matches up and help pls for reference 1:36 is where you start doing it and I can't seem to replicate no matter how many different ways I do it. I even tried outlining it in fence foundations and then it wouldn't accept my pillers T-T
@@moon-knight9229 Alright, so your going to have to do the build a bit differently as shown in the video, because they messed with the build system in a previous patch. This won't affect the final look of the build though. Your going to have to first place all your corner pillars using stable pillars. Then place your fence foundations. Next you can then go in and place your ceiling (floor) pieces. Last you can then replace the stable pillars with Nemedian ones. Hopefully this helps!
This build is top notch for looks, but space is quite limited. It took a lot of resources to build (Which is to be expected). Just needs more room inside. Might make some renovations :)
For home builds I normally have them big enough on the inside to accommodate a bedroom, personal storage area, and maybe a couple of personal crafting stations. This interior is one of the bigger interiors I've done for a player house haha.
@@DrB048 What does he want ? I managed to install a custom kitchen under the stairs, a living room on right of the entrance, a dinning room on the left, a library on the first floor, I got 2 little working room, an office and a bedroom on the 3rd floor. If I had what needed for it, I could even have a bathroom. It's perfect.
out of curiousity how did you lower the foundations when you were placing the lower to the ground stuff?(timestamp for reference is 2:00 ) everytime i try lowering the foundations by one notch it doesnt do anything and wants to remain clipped on the same height
When attaching the fence foundations to the regular foundations, make sure their is not any other fence foundations in the area. That might be your issue, as fence foundations want to snap to other fence foundations. As seen in the video, I lower the foundations away from the base of the structure which contains other fence foundations.
How do you sink the stone pathways into the ground like that? I tried it and it won't let me place it down. The only way I can place it is if it's sitting on top of the ground, and it looks nothing like the way your's is.

Cool house but this whole video is trash, slowed it down because its fast, you constantly change or delete stuff on the house, then later go back and delete the things again
Had fun with this build, thanks. Playing it back at quarter speed really helps with following along.
That’s exactly how I do these builds 👍🏼

I wish people would put how many build pieces these builds use in the description since most servers have a build limit.
Me too! I'm still trying to work on a way to make this happen.
Love your builds

how are you doing the foundations next to each other at different heights/levels
You can snap a fence foundation to a foundation at a lower level. Then snap a foundation to the fence foundation.

I never sunk the pathway lower into the ground.
Nice
Will this still be work on the new update?
It should. Everything is done without mods.
Fantastic
You can maker the addams family mansion
?
Ahhhh good idea!
Just curious about the choice to use the interior side of the wall pieces facing outward for the house. Is that just an aesthetic preference?
Correct
Quiet cool, adds more medieval flair :)
any reason you use pillars and celling tiles instead of foundations ?
I do this so I can run the pillars on the corners of the structure into the ground. If I used foundations, they would prevent pillar placement.
@@DrB048 thanks
So are those extra floor pieces you place then get rid of so you can place the pillers?
Correct, that allows me to place the pillars on the corners.
Nice and tasty... as always! 👍🏻
Molto bella peccato che i muri alti 1 siano una cosa che detesto , gli spazi stretti mi fanno girare la testa , proverò a rifarla ma più alta
