    Hello this is worth so much to me the way you get the toss like that works to get the arm and racquet in a liner form. At the point of contact turn in the wrist and hit through the ball more .Just fabulous. Thanks

    Great video. I understand the racquet arm and hand should be loose when serving. When you are lagging the racquet are you supposed to feel tension in the abs? With lagging is the feeling of trying to hold the racquet arm back for as long as you can while the body is unwinding from the ground up.

      Welcome! You can stand in front of the wall, like it's the baseline of the court and practice tossing the ball parallel to the wall (without touching it) and just a bit to your left. Also make sure you're tossing it from your shoulder (elbow and wrist should be kind of locked).

      @@tenfitmentennisimpulse hi, been following your videos for long. Thank you.
      Question about the toss. The most important thing that can make or break the serve.
      When you say toss a little to the left , I've always naturally done that but my serve speed and consistency is horrible because little left toss gets my hitting arm too jammed up to get racket head speed , also my body falls over to the left side instead of landing left foot inside the court. Other thing I noticed with the ATP top pros and yours as well is that the racket head is swinging up and out (to the right of the body). It seems that's the only way to let that arm really release all the energy built up from the body . Are you sure about the left toss? Please give your thoughts. Maybe view your serve again from the back , maybe I'm seeing it differently?

    one question: how to serve in a way (specially second serve) that ball bounces and reaches the fence? :) I think this is key from amateur serve vs professional serve....

    • @tenfitmentennisimpulse
      @tenfitmentennisimpulse  4 роки тому +2

      You're talking about the kick serve. It's all mostly about the racquet motion and the toss. Here is our video that explains it well and shows the steps on how to work on it (it helped many people):

    Leg drive ( Annacone ) ?
    Upon analysis of Federer's serve, sometimes I see his arm finishing to his right side ?
    Milan. I have trouble with the "edge" / pronation thing and therefore I feel that I don't get pace ( and I'm 5 ft 7 ).
    How loose should our arm be ? Because I have trouble with pace, when I get really loose into contact, maybe pronation, and finish, then I get pace, but lose accuracy.
    Is this typical of a higher level: a sacrifice of accuracy for loose arm and pace ? thanks

    • @tenfitmentennisimpulse
      @tenfitmentennisimpulse  4 роки тому +3

      1. Yes, arm can finish to the right side if you're serving heavy kick serve.
      2. Serve is very complex and takes a lot of practice. I would say you try to find some balance between being too loose and too tight. You want to keep the control, that's first priority. Let the pace come gradually as you learn the correct motion.
