I have finally gotten back to enjoying shrimps! I had them in other small tanks and it was a pain mentally and economically when they died but when I just stopped giving a $@&@ about them in a bigger tank with bigger fish all of a sudden I am seeing A LOT of shrimps plus they are reproducing a lot as well which makes me happy.
I really enjoyed the talking shrimp in the last video on your other channel! Thought the speech bubble plus the sound effects were nice touches and relatively easy to add. Looks like you're raising your daughter to be another great shrimp keeper! It's great to hear your priorities are with your family. New videos are always fun but I'm sure viewers understand

@@shrimpmaniadaily Thanks a lot! You're a big inspiration. I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps by including more beautiful macro footage and really crisp footage overall. Might have to upgrade the camera setup and lighting for that but we'll get there :) It's frustrating since it's so hard to tell how much of a difference those small changes make in a video's performance. Like does adding the fun little conversation really have an impact on retention or was the video idea more interesting? Is it fun to include on the creator's side? Determining cause and effect is such a struggle but hopefully you enjoy making your videos regardless :D
@@shrimplyexplained It's really a lot to learn on UA-cam you just need to practice over and over. To get better with scripting storytelling and editing. The shot's quality only helps a little bit. You can use your phone and still get 1 million views. The story and how you tell it is number one. My the most viewed videos I made on my old camera with 1080p no one cares. I don't really see retention spikes on talking shrimp but neither the drops so at least it's adding the viewing time. Kind of to slow the story a bit.
thank you for another informative video! started watching ur videos since 2 years ago, i also really enjoy watching ur old vlog style videos with less editing. For me as long as u enjoy making videos and doing shrimp stuff, the editing and "flashy" content doesnt really matter. keep it up !
OE Red Devils have been the most challenging for me. Berried females but for some reason only a few babies and survival is low. Other tanks are exploding with babies
That's probably mean they all like that. Both black and red devilsa were my dream shrimp for a long time and I was hoping to breed a lot of them. That' a bummer
Great video , i have a question . I have blue Bolt shrimp and I have a few buried , but i just have a few babies. Im note sure why it seems so less as there is like 4 buried females there should have a ton more. my temps is 24/23 degress , ph 6.2 TDS 150
babyes can die easyer than adults. In very first weeks thy need biofilm and algae to surviv. Make sure your tank is well establish with planty of that yammy stuff
Shrimp can die extremly fast, If the water gets bad. If a shrimp dies, If i put too much food, water gets spoiled, then all the others die. For this reason, i prefer to have just the minimum, have a reasonalbe size aquarium, and start from there.
I'm cycling a caridina tank. However, same as one of your tank before the water turns green and no algae is building up. I put bacter ae occationally. Should i reset it?
@shrimpmaniadaily They stopped making it. Now I use SL aqua more black soil or glasgarten environment soil, both do not leach ammonia. I also like Aquael Help Shrimp Soil this leach ammonia but not lots like ADA
@shrimpmaniadaily I think powder is just what people have left. I can get powder, but I decided if they aren't making anymore, then I need other solutions at some point. That's why I mentioned the other soils. Hopefully, they will make a replacement at some point.

Bacteria powder and Bacteria Ae are they the same
Api test kit or Sera for accuracy which one is better for shrimps.
I'm using APi it's just easyer to find and cheapper

Just try to use filter with UV it will clear the water out in a few weeks. Bacter AE wont help with green walls from my experience
Do you cycle the tank with pure ro water or with 100 TDs water . And why is that so
it doesn't matter with what water as long as it is not tap water or any water with KH- it will wear the soil out
