Why cut the tip off of the hoochie when a much better method is to thread the line through a sewing needle and push the needle up through the skirt and right through the middle of the hoochie tip leaving the tip intact as it is designed? Also a bead large enough to lodge and actually bulge the head of the hoochie above the top hook leaves a nice finished looking hoochie in my opinion. Your method appears to allow the eye of the hook to pass through the hoochie?

@@briantongue1866 that’s actually a great idea. I didn’t even think about using a needle to thread the line through. Might start doing that haha. Initially the hook did pass through the hoochie but with a small bead, the hook no longer passed through. I’ve never had an issue though catching trout/kokanee when I cut a piece of the tip off. I’ve used store bought hoochies and caught way more Kokanee with my setups. Luck? Maybe haha.
