There's a settings option on the infotainment to turn off proximity unlock/lock feature based on an address you input. We put it on our home address and the rivian stopped locking and unlocking. Never had to mess with the Bluetooth settings on my phone. Just another suggestion.
Yeah I actually have another video on that specific scenario for when you're at home. But this video is when you're out somewhere and you can't use the address feature. So it's a bit different and this one will work anywhere you are.
I don't believe there's that option. The door handles only present when the car is unlocked. If the car is locked, the handles will be flush. There is one exception. If you are in car wash mode, the handles will be flush and you can push the front part to pop out the handle to open. But that typically is not going to be efficient or practical for every day use.
Thanks but this only works on iPhones. Android BT must be shut off completely, in my experience, to stop the issue. No huge deal since as you say, it typically happens at restaurants for us.
Hi, can you explain this audio pause issue? My phone is key for my r1s and the car is in park. I have my phone in the car playing music via bluetooth. My phone is still in the car. When i exit the car and closed the door. The music stops playing (pause). Then i tested it out with radio. Does the same thing. Also had my wife sat in passenger seat and rear seats. The audio also pauses. This is annoying when we are pulling up somewhere and i need to run in to get something real quick. Is it sensing that there is no driver presents? But why would the audio pauses because the phone is still in the car?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is probably because you have left the car. There's a sensor in the driver seat, and when you leave, the cars know you're not there. The car is probably putting itself in standby mode, thereby turning off the radio/audio.

Does Rivian have a setting to unlock when you pull on the handle? Or do you HAVE to use Proximity unlock to actually use the phone as a key?

Unfortunate Android doesn't work the same :(
