You have come so far in 3 years! Its awesome to see. I am re watching old videos and even finding some old episodes I missed. Definitely helps me get through these long cold winter days. Thanks for all you do, hands down my favorite fishing channel on YT!
These videos bring me back to my younger years growing up in the Rockies in Colorado. I spent many summers dropping a line in any body of water I came across. When using live insects, always use what is in the area.
You should have millions of subscribers. You keep up the good work in you will. so proud that you actually take the time to carry something to protect yourself with. Never take chances on that. Stay safe and God bless
Hi, just a little advice, since you asked in the video. When I fish for trout, I like to set my drag slightly tighter, and reel slower and less aggressively. I find that all the wiggling caused by super low drag combined with fast reeling tends to loosen the hook, and often results in lost fish, like the one in the very beginning. Love your vids btw!
There's a serious reason why I am subscribed to and watch your channel. I have become completely disabled in the last year. I can no longer go fishing. I can't get down to the shoreline, nor get into a boat. It's videos like these that help feed my need for trout fishing. Just the way you get so excited when you land a fish (any fish) brings that thrill back for me. I sincerely appreciate you making and posting these video for us all. I can't wait for the day you have enough subscribers that you can make this your full-time job. You are getting there, I am rooting for you buddy!!!
Love seeing you mix in the porcini in there. Mixing my 2 favorite hobbies. This last saturday i did the same thing. Caught 5 trout my son caught 3 and we found some white chanterelles in the woods and cooked it all up. Delicious!
That’s what I love to hear! Going chanterelle hunting and fishing today too! Definitely my favorite activities, and a great way to become one with nature. So glad you enjoyed the video 🎣 🍄 🔥
Love the videos man, I recently made a cross country move from Vermont out to Southern Washington and as an avid angler I was immediately drawn to your videos. They’ve been super informative and inspirational as I try and find my way around the plentiful lakes, ponds, rivers, etc.. that make this state a perfect place for someone like me! I thought about it, but didn't feel it was something I wanted to do. There is a go-fund-me to help contribute to the new GoPro Hero 7 which gave us 4K and hypersmooth video. Amazon pays about 5% on anything people buy when entering their site through my links 😆But the bottom line is that I'm not really worried about making money here. I want to focus on a fun, local fishing channel for you guys, and make good videos. It's hard work, but with the growth we're seeing, I am determined to make it my career at one point! Thanks - so many things led to losing those fish. Hooks were a main factor, as was me not playing them long enough/ having the drag set too tight. Redemption following in the next episode!! 🔥 🎣
Inspirational videos, on lake mohne in Northwest Germany you can only catch lake trout in the summer at great depths, i.e. at least 20 m. Wonderful water where you fish. And we love the porcini mushrooms here too. Greetings from Germany
I know this is a year old video but hopefully this will help you. You can buy long shank cricket hooks that should work great for what you are doing. We use them for panfish all the time because with smaller short shank hooks they’d suck the bait right off the hook. With the cricket hooks they suck in the whole hook and cricket at once. Thanks for the great videos.

Where are you located , looks like your leaving my dream , I lived in Europe fir 25 yers abd I used to hunt for bolets too. But never wear anywhere here , thanks
I'm in Washington USA near Seattle! Used to live in Europe for 18 years in the Black Forest. The mountains remind me of back home.... Lots of mushrooms back in Germany!
Wow I am soooo happy I found this channel!!! I am watching all of your videos
Man, I need to get out of the city
I love how peaceful your videos are.
ALL THE PEOPLE WHO DISLIKE THESE VIDEOS, REALLY DOESN'T MATTER AND IT ACTUALLY HELPS OUT. LIKES AND DISLIKES GO INTO THE UA-cam ALGORITHM JUST THE SAME. THE ALGORITHM DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE ON LIKES OR DISLIKES AND BOTH REGISTER AS AN INTERACTION WITH THE CHANNEL REGARDLESS. SO THANK YOU!!😎👍
I love the fact you don't even go to stalked lakes, you're a pioneer man, love your content
Thanks man, the mountain lakes are worth the effort 😂 🎣
What is the mushroom called? I can’t tell exactly what you are saying, King Boleet? Also, nice .357!
Thank you! Love that Ruger.... and the mushroom is a King Bolete! Delicious 😋
Habe gerade deinen Kanal gefunden ! Tolle Videos !
Gruss aus Deutschland 👍
Trout are my favourite fish to catch they are hard to catch tho
Turn off the tail first
Great catch, I'm glad you find joy in the great outdoors.
You need to sharpen the hooks, that’s probably why you keep missing the hooks
Thanks - so many things led to losing those fish. Hooks were a main factor, as was me not playing them long enough/ having the drag set too tight. Redemption following in the next episode!! 🔥 🎣
Jeremy Wade always gas a hook sharpener for that reason.
Inspirational videos, on lake mohne in Northwest Germany you can only catch lake trout in the summer at great depths, i.e. at least 20 m. Wonderful water where you fish. And we love the porcini mushrooms here too. Greetings from Germany
Why’s he kinda look like post Malone at 17:30
Just love the mountain videos best Thank you. Blessings
I believe water from such a lake is cleaner before filter, than after!!!
That is so cool that you found dragonfly larva and used it to fish!
Mudeyes are what they are. Awesome for fishing and have caught many many trout on these
No way I’m watching 30 mins of a guy fishing *30 mins later*
FearlessJW I’ve got a few and one on the way 1 hour vids if you’re up for it! I swear I try to make them short!!! Lol
Love these alpine water fishing videos, especially that 48hr wilderness challenge you posted recently. Would love to see more such videos!
Thank you. They’re my favorite as well... Can’t wait to get out there again 🏔 🎣 🏕

Very true 😂 and one cricket!
“It’s so long it whont fit all the way” that’s what she said
