- Hey everyone :D hope this video is helpful!!! Let me know if you have any extra questions. I tried my best to explain everything clearly.
This project took me around 3 hours to make. Great gift to make for yourself, friends, and family.
I used weight 4 acrylic yarn and 5 mm hook.

As a beginner thats super hard but yk am not afraid to restart ill keep doing it until i get it right
there might be more videos but easier for beginners
i did this i was so confused that how can be this for beginners cuz when i was a beginner i could have definitely not done it. so i suggest you look for some easier video but if you wanna keep going then ofc continue :p
Thank you for this tutorial helped me a lot! I made my beanie half miles, half gwen and it came out amazing! ❤
oh that sounds so cute
Omg share your insta so we can seeee
Can you tell me if I need to chain more .. because I want a wider fold at the bottom.....and will this size fit everyone?? For males??
Its so hard doing the back loops i skipped to much chains😢 I ended up ruining evrrything and literally pulls out the yarn and hid my yarn on my drawer and cried
it’s okay!! i remember having a hard time with back loops too. it would help to search and look for a heavily detailed desc on how to do back loops. also practicing with smaller projects can help. nothing works perfectly on the first try xx
For me using thicker yarn helps and it gets kuch easier
OMG! My first time, I tried making a baby bear hat with ear flaps and it didn’t turn out as I intended it to, it ended up being a flower! I cried too!
But what I learnt was that always start small. And nothing turns out perfect the first time. So, I feel you girlie. It’s going to turn out fine next time. ✨

you’re so real for this
As an absolute beginner and a left handed, your tutorial really helped alot, im currently on my 3rd day now making this (i know im slow hihi) the only problem that i have is i allways miscount the chains making the eyes on my beanie look off, but overall this video is very helpful , i might do this again if i already learned from all the mistakes ill be making in the future.👍
Use stitch marker it's a life saver
@@fatemaaZaher thank you so much for the idea!, im currently re doing this beanie and indeed stitch marker is a life saver👍, thank you!
@@fatemaaZaher what's a stitch marker?
@joan_of_tudor it looks like a safety pin but plastic it helps with marking the stitches there's other type it looks like a spiral but I've never seen it in my country

Can I know how many grams of yarn you used?
Also any easier way would be to hide in the tale of the red/white in ur crochet same with the red and white yarn when not in use it helps a lot so while u crochet u go through the back loop but also have the red string with it makes it a lot easier learnt this from making another beanie
Was trying that but the red and white yarn kept peeping through the black part! 🙄🙄
@@faizaarsalan5986what I did is making sure the yarn that I carry through the stitches can only really be seen from the back side and pulling the yarn right as I go and it doesn’t show through much except for the white part which is kind of unavoidable
Thank you so much for this tutorial❤. I used it to make a Prowler beanie and it came out great❤
I really can't wait to start this project! Thank you so much for teaching us ❤🙏
how many yarss of yarn did you use?
It doesn’t take up that much idk how many grams but I used a little over a quarter of the main color. If took me about 3 hrs to make bcs I’m a beginner but I had fun making it 😅
thank you so much ive been waiting so long for this!! much love to you
hiyaaa! thanks for the tutorial!
first time i managed to understand colourwork (believe me, i tried to watch idk how many tutorials, even mahum couldn't help me--) and i love the result!!
sadly i didn't chain enough so i can't fold the bottom part, but it's still nice!! i plan on doing the gwen stacy one soon too!
have an amazing day!

this doesn’t really make much sense. the whole point is it’s a ribbed hat

i really wanna know toooo

This pattern is easy and simple I love it I am making it rn and it's super duper easy and your doing a great job 👏💯🤗🥰
Are you sure it’s 14 HDC because once I did that the next row was 15 HDC for the base color and yours seems to be lining up evenly like if you meant to do 15 instead of 14 and it’s just a typo incident
I wish you did this with white yarn but thank you
ikr😭
Can you pls tell me how can ik my size😭😭
Ik this is a month late, but if you haven't found out (or for those that need help) :
Once you have got to the point where it is just hdc back loops in one colour (usually nearing the end) then put it around your head (without stretching it) and see if it is too tight or too loose (if too loose then undo some rows until it is right, if too tight add a few more rows until it fits)!!
Another way is:
Measure the circumference of your head (around ears) with a measuring tape and crocheting the pattern until it reaches that length! (Still do check the fit of it) then you can finish off the project!!
Hope this helps someone, have a good day and good luck crocheting!!

HII thank u smmm its my second time crocheting and i followed ur tutorial and it turned out AMAZINGGG
loved this vidd, but next time please, there's obviously an option to not choose black, so please don't make a crochet tut with something so hard to see and follow, especially for beginners
This makes no sense. It’s a miles beanie.
@@Anna-pz2zsI think they meant just do a different color to make it easier to see. For example, they could've done the tutorial making a classic Spiderman beanie so the color would be red which is easier for people to see which stitches they need to put their hook in and the like. Then, for people like me, who are doing a miles one, can switch to black personally
and there is an option not to choose this tutorial and watch another vid instead
Well this video isn’t made for beginners it’s made for beginner+ to intermediate and they don’t really need to see the Stitches they already know how to do it so if you don’t like it then watch another video…
@@kenna6431 exactlyy !! tysm, i wasn't hating cuz i genuinely wanted to make one myself (i made 3 by now hehe).. in my opinion i just thought it would be easier (for some people as well) to see the stitches for the 'tutorial' if it was another colorr that's all
bro why is my head so big i had to add like 15 extra rows, but anywtys love this tutorial tysm!
Same I had to do 30
You should have do the tutorial with the white yarn so it could be easy to see the stitches.
I’m half way through and it’s not looking PERFECT but it’s so cute!!
hey what app are you using for the graph?
Pinterest
This helped so much thank u
At the start when you said Crochet 40 chains I believe that was for the size of your head but I crocheted 56 chains instead because 40 is too small for me I dunno so because of that trough out the video it's like you have to make a certain number of hdc with like red and white and for me it's not looking right because I have a wide rectangle so I don't know what to do.
Guys will it work the same for yarn that is 100g??
yup just make sure u have the right hook size
I've been crocheting for almost 3 years and even I was confused if I should do 8hdc and then change colour or if I should chance colour on the 8th hdc
how do you adjust the size of the beanie? based off of people's head size? will the sizing affect the eyes?
No youll just add more rows at the end so it wraps around. The eyes stay as is! If that makes sense
@@chonkaycrochet thank u sm!!
@@chonkaycrochetif you adjust it vertically, will that affect anything?
@@thishandleisntakenno, it won’t as long as u add the extra vertical height from the bottom.

note for myself - 14:56
wait if the whole thing is Blo won’t the yarn color that you aren’t using show up on both sides (if that makes sense) how do i keep it neat :0
Please what app do you guys use to draft it and use it accordingly... Someone should pls reply cuz I've been looking for it

Im doing this with smaller yarn so its hard to follow can any1 tell me the length of the first 8 rows?? 🤕🤕
For me, the first 10 rows are about 4 inches and the first 8 rows are about 3 1/4 inches
When do we have a 3.5 hook on how much chain?
can you please tell the weight of the yarn in grams?
How many rows should I do at the end for a big head, I’m making it for a friend as a surprise
Since I don't know the exact size just keep adding more layers and comparing it to Ur head if u can guess how much bigger theirs is
oh my god thank you so much🥹🥹💗💗

Hihi just wondering so i dont use time on something I can’t use, my hook looks much smaller tha yours, so does my so far crochet work and im wondering if the length of the beginning things are supposed to go around your entire head or just half or your head

I’m so confused, I’m doing the same 42 chains and 40 back loops but mine looks smaller than the one in the video? Is there another type of measurement I can do?
