Hi I am trying to connect to a Franklin Electric SubDrive 75 which is a VFD for a well. Says it shouldn't be used with GFCI or externally regulated generator. How do I know if my generator is externally regulated? I have a 5000W Generac generator. Can I use an inverter generator?
it is a phase converter and vfd all in one. It converts the power and ramps the frequency up ans down based on required demand to hold pressure constant
How big is a 30hp pump? It has to be huge because I just put in a 3hp pump and it almost reached my nipple and I’m 6’5”. Just curious. Nice work my friend.
deprnding on the size and stages in the pump end, some assembled can be over your head and some can be chest high. They definitely are heavier being a 6" pump and 6" motor. Thanks for tuning in and watching our videos.
Great work! Access all important. So muddy this time of year in Oregon I’ll probably have to wait on good weather but I want one of those VFDs. Can the pump be installed and the VFD be connected later when weather improves? Thanks, Mike
Very good info! I have a smaller (5 H.P.) vfd pump with a smaller phase converter by phase technology. I love it except in hot heat of Texas, the converter gets too hot and trips. Have to turn off power and let it reset. I appreciate your explanation as to how the converter helps those of us who only have 1 phase service.
This some good info ! I’m dealing with a incontrol panel running 80 psi @ 100 gpm but lately it’s been tripping out the breaker kinda puzzle on this on why it will do that

So the VFD converts the power then sends the power down to the pump. Is there a control box built into the phase converter/VFD

Nice setup. Great to see.
